Getting organized is easy, but staying organized can be a whole lot tougher. Have your child maintain a myHomework account, and check in on a daily basis to observe his progress. Encourage him to make a habit of marking his assignments down as they are assigned in order to keep abreast of his workload.

Planning Activity

To start, have your child create a detailed schedule. Draw up a list of his classes, list the work he has been assigned in each one and name his daily obligations (chores, sports, ect.). Then, have him input this information into myHomework, making sure to note the correct times and dates of each. This will input the information into the calender. Next, have him set levels of priority for his current assignments. This will make it easier to decide upon the allotted amounts of time needed for each assignment. Seeing all of his work combined might be intimidating at first, but seeing the impact of a well planned schedule on even a large workload can do a lot to impress upon your child the importance of being prepared.

Time Management Activity

Practice keeping track of how much time is required to complete different tasks. For example, if your child has math homework nightly, keep track of the average amount of time it takes to complete each night's work. When creating a schedule of assignments, your child can gain a greater perspective on how to manage their math homework workload. Encourage your child to use this same strategy with other responsibilities in order to properly prioritize assignments, projects, and other tasks. Understanding and accurately assessing the amount of time required to properly complete assignments can improve your child's time management skills and assist in meeting deadlines.

Children with ADHD often have a hard time adhering to deadlines, scheduling events, and prioritizing obligations. myHomework is an app that can help your child become more organized, while fostering hard-to-teach qualities like conscientiousness and work-ethic. Using myHomework allows your child to organize his homework, track his progress in class, and keep current with his responsibilities and commitments.

How to Use myHomework for Children with ADHD:

• Although many children with ADHD complete their homework, they may struggle to prioritize assignments. Research papers and projects should be completed over the course of a few weeks - not the night before it is due. When your child inputs his class information and his daily obligations, he is better able to determine the importance of each assignment, and finish each one accordingly.
• For children with ADHD who cannot readily recall due dates and daily homework assignments, myHomework’s “Homework” icon allows your child to set up a personalized homework profile. All assignments that are filed under this tab can be sorted by due date, subject material, or length. While schools tend to issue daily planners to students, myHomework offers more character space, a cleaner display, and a much neater method for categorizing a variety of both school-related and non school-related obligations
• myHomework helps children who have trouble tracking their progress in school. Children with ADHD often misplace old tests, quizzes, and homework assignments, leaving them with no evidence of their grades. When report cards come, your child may be surprised at how poorly he scored, maintaining that he studied hard. With myHomework’s custom features, your child can record all the grades he receives over the course of the year. This way, he will know where he stands in class at all times.

myHomework & Dyslexia

Children with dyslexia who have difficulty with organization and preparation for school assignments may struggle to stay on top of homework and reading assignments. myHomework facilitates proper academic organization through multiple features which children with dyslexia may find beneficial.

How to Use myHomework for Children with Dyslexia:

Having a central place to keep track of important dates, assignments, and directions for completing assignments is a great way to facilitate productivity for a child who struggles academically.
• Your child should utilize the prioritization and scheduling features in myHomework. Homework submission

The Show My Homework app is an easy way for students to stay organised on the go. To download the app, simply visit the Google Play Store and search for Show My Homework, or click the icon below. ​

Once you have downloaded the app you will need to search for your school. Then simply log in using your login details as normal. ​

Once logged in, you can get to the main menu anytime by tapping on the menu bar in the top-left corner. You can use the main menu to navigate to the following sections:

To-do list: View upcoming, past, or overdue homework

Timetable: View your scheduled classes per week. Kindly note this section will only appear if your school has Timetables enabled.

Notice board: View school announcements and event reminders

Reminders: Your own list of personal reminders

Updates: Review notifications for grades, comments or announcements that have been posted for you

Settings: Update your account settings, access our Help Centre or get in touch with us,

Sign out: Press to log out of your account on the app

From the To-do list, you can select tasks to read their description and download any resources attached to the task. The To-do List is divided into three different sections: Upcoming, Past, and Overdue. ​ On the Upcoming list, you will find any homework with forthcoming deadlines. Once you have completed homework, check the box beside its title. If you want to view only homework that has not yet been ticked as complete, toggle the switch in the top-right-hand corner. ​ On the Past list, you will find homework that you've marked as complete, and now their deadline has passed. The Overdue list will show you any homework that is now past its due date and has not been ticked off yet. ​ 

Marked something as completed before you meant to? Not to worry! The To-do list is simply an organisational tool, your teacher will not receive any notifications for this. You can untick the homework task to return it to your Upcoming list.

If you have a question for your teacher you can leave a comment for them by selecting the Comments tab and typing your comment in the text box.

If your teacher has requested that you submit your homework online , you can do this within the app. Simply upload your homework for online submissions directly from your camera gallery, Dropbox, or Google Drive by clicking the Submit Homework button.

So incredibly helpful. Especially if you use it to communicate via text message. You can find this other app called one tap that lets you build a custom keyboard for your iPhone with shortcut keys and links and stuff and you can use this app to write with..I usually talk-to-text so I’ll spit whatever information it is that I’m giving a person, tell them what I need to tell them in my own words and this app here will change what yer saying in real time and make you sound like you went to Harvard. Weather you wana be funny, serious, concerned, excited, curious, this app allows you to express those things in the best possible way. I love it. P.S. I did not write this review using the app lol

I would like to give a full score and a positive review to the app called ChatX. The main reason is that it directly provides proxy services, allowing me to use it with just an API. Moreover, the app has done an excellent job in encapsulating model parameters and other information, which prevents users from feeling lost when making selections. However, I would also like to provide some feedback to the author, suggesting enhancements in terms of UI design to make it more visually appealing. Additionally, I hope the author can consider adding more keyboards and integrating Siri to make the system even more intelligent.

Google cast is coming to more hotel room tvs later this year.

Google Cast, perhaps better known as Chromecast, makes it pretty easy to get content from virtually any device onto a TV and, soon, it’s coming to more hotel rooms.

The Google Cast standard, recently re-rebranded from “Chromecast,” allows for TVs to accept input wirelessly from smartphones, tablets, and laptops whether they’re running Android, iOS, Windows, ChromeOS, or macOS. It does this, in a simplified manner of speaking, by handing off the video feed from a certain type of app or website and passing that along to the TV or device connected to the TV. It works fairly well, and the standard has become widely available over the years.

In hotel rooms, though, finding Google Cast is fairly hit or miss.

Announced this week, more LG TVs in hotel rooms will be adding support for Google Cast. This will come via new software provided by SONIFI, a company specializing in “hospitality technology.” LG TVs in hotel rooms will be equipped with Google Cast, allowing users to connect to their TV and cast any compatible apps (YouTube, Disney+, Max, etc) using a QR code to pair. This will be integrated with SONIFI’s existing “STAYCAST” platform which allows users to sign into apps on the TV and have the apps sign out upon the end of the stay (check out).

SONIFI’s solution is in place in over 500,000 hotel rooms across the globe, with support for Google Cast being deployed starting in “Fall” 2024, including Hyatt hotels in particular.

LG TVs also now support Google Cast for consumer TVs as well.

This also comes as Apple has locked down deals to bring AirPlay to hotel rooms . And while that’s all well and good for Apple users, AirPlay is a standard that doesn’t work on any device without an Apple stamp on the back, where Google Cast is as close to universal as we have today.

Everyone has an imagination and the ability to be an artist. Now, with Cocreator you can enter a text prompt and start drawing on the Paint canvas, and Cocreator will generate beautiful artwork based on your input as you draw. Powerful AI cocreates alongside you, helping you bring your ideas to life. As you edit, it responds, evolving in near real time. Adjust the creativity slider to get more or less assistance from AI to modify your image. Or even apply one of the available style filters like Watercolor or Oil Painting to style your image. Without token limits or additional subscription fees, you can create without limits.

Here’s how to get started:

• Launch: Search for and open the Paint application in the Taskbar, Start Menu or app list. If you do not see it, you can download it from the Microsoft Store. When the application opens, click on the Cocreator icon on the top right side of the in-app toolbar to open the experience. If you do not see the Cocreator icon, the Paint application may need an update. To get the update, select “Get updates” in Microsoft Store > Library.
• Sign in: You’ll be prompted to login with your Microsoft account. This helps ensure that images follow our responsible AI (RAI) and security guidelines .
• Start by entering a text prompt in the box that asks you to describe what you’d like to create. Need some ideas? Try, “a mountainous valley of wildflowers,” “a city skyline at sunset,” or even, “a sea turtle over a coral reef” to make beautiful pictures. [1]
• Start drawing on the canvas with your mouse, pen or touch [2] to begin making your art and watch as the image adjusts to your input in near real time.
• You can use any tools or colors you want. For best results, use the colors you desire in the output, broader brush strokes and fill up the canvas as much as you can.
• Adjust the Creativity level by moving the slider. Lower creativity means less AI input and the output will be closer to your sketch. Higher creativity means more AI input and the output will be more imaginative and diverse.
• Or select a Style option from the drop-down menu. You can choose art styles like watercolor and oil painting to customize the artwork you create.
• When you are satisfied with your artwork, simply click the generated image in the side pane to apply it to the Paint canvas. You could add additional detail to your text prompt, like adding a butterfly to your landscape or a starfish to your underwater scene to continue evolving your image.
• Be sure to save your favorite images to use where you need them by selecting File > Save or using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+S.

Looking for visual inspiration or want to explore a variety of ways to express the same image concept? Image Creator in Photos generates endless images for free, fast, with the ability to fine-tune images to your liking. You can also save your favorite images or collections to come back to whenever you need them.

• Launch: Open the Photos app by searching for “Photos” in Start or selecting it from your applications list. Don’t see it? Search for “Microsoft Photos” in the Microsoft Store.
• Select Image Creator from the menu of options on the left side.
• Select one of the preset options like Dessert ideas or Sci-fi book covers to apply the text prompt.
• Or, you can describe the image that you would like to create. You can be as specific as you like. Need some ideas? Try, “living room, mid-century, neutral colors,” or “floral tablescapes for a wedding, soft pastel, neutral background, in a romantic style.” [2]
• Watch as 20 different images generate to give you a range of options or inspiration.
• Need more ideas? Keep scrolling and more will generate. Use the creativity slider to generate new variations, apply filters or modify your prompt by adding additional words to continue evolving your responses.
• See an image or series of images you like? Select the image, right click and save or hover over the image and click on the save icon so you can use it or come back to it whenever you need.

Live Captions

In an increasingly connected and global world, Windows wants to bring people closer together. Live Captions now has live translations and can turn any audio that passes through your PC, including video calls and streaming content, into a consistent, English-language caption experience. Translations occur in real time and display consistently across applications, even when you’re offline. Currently it is available to translate from 44 languages into English subtitles. [3]

• Launch: Click on Quick Settings from your taskbar and scroll to select and turn on Live Captions. Or, open Settings > Accessibility > Captions > Toggle on Live Captions. You will be asked to select yes to agree to allow Microsoft to process your voice data on your device and to download the Live Captions language files when necessary.
• Listening to your favorite podcast, watching your favorite films or viewing global sporting events spoken in non-English languages to instantly follow along with English captions.
• Have a call with family, friends or teammates around the globe. After turning on Live Captions, invite them to speak in different languages and see their words instantly translated into English captions.
• Move the captions box to a new place on your screen by clicking and dragging to a new location or by selecting the Settings icon and selecting a fixed location above screen, below screen or overlaid on screen.
• Make the captions box bigger by resizing the box to see more words.

• Portrait blur has new enhancements, helping to keep the focus on you and not your background.
• In a noisy space and want to be heard more clearly? Select voice focus, now with new enhancements, to keep your voice, not the background noise, in focus.

Recall instantly

We aimed to solve one of the most common frustrations with using your PC – finding something you know you have seen on your PC but not remembering how to get back to it. Recall is a preview experience that will be available in the coming weeks in the Windows Insider Program (WIP). Coming soon with Recall (in preview), you can find that content and then re-engage with it [4] . Windows will save snapshots of your active screen periodically, as frequently as every 3-5 seconds. With Recall you can then easily find your snapshots and re-open a document, get to the right webpage, or highlight and copy images or text using screenray to use across other applications. [5]   And, you’re always in control of your privacy with built-in controls that help you pause, delete or prevent web sites and apps from being saved in in your snapshots. Recall requires opt in to begin saving your snapshots; you can change your selection at any time, and Microsoft does not have access to your snapshots.

Here’s how to get started.

• Opt-in: For Recall to save your snapshots, you need to opt in to the experience. You can do this by clicking “save snapshots” in the out of box experience during device set up. You can also navigate to the Settings application > Privacy & security > Recall & snapshots > turn snapshots toggle on if you do not opt in during device set up. You can change this selection at any time.
• Come back: We recommend trying out some of the other new experiences or spending a little time using your PC first before exploring Recall. That way you have snapshots available to search for, discover and interact with.
• Launch: Open Recall either by clicking on the Recall icon on the center of your taskbar or by searching for Recall in the Start menu. You’ll be asked to authenticate using Windows Hello to launch the experience and proof of presence is also required to view your timeline and search in Recall.
• Start by trying to find something you know you’ve seen before. Type the clues you remember in the search box using descriptive words. Or use voice to search by clicking the microphone icon in the search box. You can search using words, visual descriptors, colors, dates or even names and it will return both text and visual matches for the words you described. For example, if you created a picture of a landscape in Cocreator, just describe what you drew or a color that stands out from your picture. Try finding a document by searching for something you remember about it or something in the document that you remember seeing instead of what the file was called.
• You can scroll back across your timeline by dragging your cursor across the timeline and finding a snapshot to return to.
• Select a snapshot and see screenray in action, illuminating content in the snapshot you can act on as you hover. It analyzes the content to give you selectable images and text. Right click to copy the objects or open in another relevant application to quickly get to work.
• Use the reopen action below the snapshot to get back to your original content (website, document, application) and pick up where you left off.

Adjust your privacy & security

• When Recall is running on your PC, you will see a Recall icon on the System Tray alerting you when snapshot recording is in process.
• When you want to pause or change your snapshot privacy settings, you can easily do so by clicking on the Recall icon in the System Tray. You can simply click to pause snapshots until the next day or to open Settings > Privacy & security > Recall & snapshots where you have additional controls.
• Turn off save for snapshots, change your storage configuration, delete your snapshots or set specific application or website filters with easy-to-use controls in Settings.
• Turn on InPrivate browsing within Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or other Chromium-based browsers to prevent browser content from saving in your snapshots from within the browser’s Settings.
• We have added additional layers of data protection including “just in time” decryption, protected by Windows Hello Enhanced Sign-in Security (ESS) so Recall snapshots will only be decrypted and accessible when you authenticate. In addition, we encrypted the search index database.
• Microsoft provides many built-in security features from the chip to the cloud to protect Recall content. All Copilot+ PCs are Secured-core PCs, come with the Microsoft Pluton security processor enabled by default, and include Windows Hello ESS.

Is it safe to give an app my credit card information?

From rideshare and food delivery to digital wallets and shopping, it seems like you can do just about everything through an app on your phone. These apps ask for your card information when you sign up for their services, but is it actually safe to give it to them?

In most cases, yes – it is generally safe to share your credit card data with apps. But even apps considered safe aren’t foolproof, which is why it’s important to understand just what makes an app secure so that you can decide whether you’re comfortable giving it your credit card information.

What standards do apps have to follow to be considered safe

There are typically three points at which your data could be compromised when using an app. The first is when you enter the data, the second is when it’s stored on the app on your device, and the third is when the data is transmitted out of the device.

The payments industry, which includes the companies that process all of your transactions, has a division called the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC). This council comes up with global standards to safeguard payments across a variety of platforms. The global standards are constantly updated as the environment evolves.

When it comes to apps, the PCI SSC, commonly just called the PCI, requires app developers to provide security in all three of the stages we mentioned in compliance with its evolving standards.

Some examples of these standards include:

• Implementing proper authorizations: Data stored on a mobile device should not be readable by unauthorized persons, according to the standards.

• Encrypting data: The standards say that data transmitted outside of a mobile device should be encrypted.

The use of a private key is also an important security factor. With a private key, sensitive information is only available to the sending and receiving parties. If your mobile device has already been compromised in some way, this can also prevent unauthorized parties from “eavesdropping,” or intercepting data being transmitted to another device or party .

What in-app protections will keep your info safe?

The PCI also calls for protections within the app itself, rather than just within a network. In-app protections, like firewalls, help protect information and can end your sessions or shut down an app if they sense an attack. Some protections can even identify and report any unusual activity.

Payment apps are also supposed to have mechanisms that enable the apps to be disabled by the providers responsible for the services. This way, if an app is compromised, it can be shut down. The PCI security standards also specify that apps distributed through online app stores have certain controls in place to ensure the integrity of the software and authenticate the sources of the apps.

Are digital wallets and budgeting apps safe?

Digital wallets like Google Pay and Apple Pay are generally considered safe because they follow the global security standards set by the PCI. In fact, they’re often considered safer to use than physical cards. Plus, many of today’s top rewards credit cards can be linked to your digital wallet, so you don’t have to miss out on cash back or points by prioritizing your financial safety with a digital wallet.

Unlike a physical credit card, which can be stolen from your wallet and swiped without your permission, a payment method stored in a digital wallet can’t be stolen as easily. That’s because the payment data is heavily encrypted, so even if a thief stole your phone, they’d have a hard time finding out what your actual credit card numbers are – especially if your phone or wallet was password-protected.

Budgeting apps are also generally considered safe, especially those run by your card issuer or integrated into your mobile banking app. But what about third-party budgeting apps?

Many of the top budgeting apps allow you to integrate your accounts into the app so that it can track your purchases and help you create useful budgets. If a budgeting app allows for this, you’ll want to look up what it is they’re using to pull your information and do research on the app itself. The app should be clear and upfront about how they’re keeping your data safe.

Don’t forget to also read the fine print associated with this process. Some budgeting apps, especially free ones, might share some aspects of your data with marketers.

Bankrate’s take: When it comes to linking your accounts to a budgeting app, you should trust your instincts. If an app doesn’t look or feel secure, you shouldn’t give it your information. There are plenty of other ways to budget without an app that might be more comfortable to you.

4 security pitfalls to watch out for when using apps

Even though an app may be safe in itself, certain security issues could compromise its safety. Those issues include:

–Using a public network: If you’re connected to a public Wi-Fi network, for example, the information you provide could be hacked. If you’re inputting payment information or other sensitive information, criminals using that network could steal it.

–Using public charging stations: It’s possible for hackers to load malware onto charging stations at public places like airports, which means you may be compromising your data by using such amenities. That’s why you’d be better off sticking to your own wireless charger.

–Downloading illegitimate apps: Just like how people set up scam websites to trick users online, people can set up scam apps that steal credit card information, as well. Before downloading a new app, make sure it’s not malicious and carrying malware. Do your research and verify that the platform or website you’re downloading it from is legitimate. Also, be vigilant and constantly update your software so you have the most current security measures available to protect your data.

–Providing more permissions than necessary: Another pitfall to watch for is that you don’t give apps permissions they don’t need. Read through the fine print and make sure you are only allowing access to information you’re comfortable sharing. For instance, if an app asks for access to your contacts, you don’t have to provide it.

The bottom line

Popular credit card-based apps such as Uber, Lyft , Google Pay and DoorDash will ask for your credit card information for convenience of use. Considering there are standards that the PCI has developed for app security, it’s generally safe to give your information to apps.

However, no app security system is 100% foolproof, so you should always watch out for security pitfalls and be careful that you don’t put your data at risk unnecessarily.

With brand-new systemwide Writing Tools built into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, users can rewrite, proofread, and summarize text nearly everywhere they write, including Mail, Notes, Pages, and third-party apps.

Whether tidying up class notes, ensuring a blog post reads just right, or making sure an email is perfectly crafted, Writing Tools help users feel more confident in their writing. With Rewrite, Apple Intelligence allows users to choose from different versions of what they have written, adjusting the tone to suit the audience and task at hand. From finessing a cover letter, to adding humor and creativity to a party invitation, Rewrite helps deliver the right words to meet the occasion. Proofread checks grammar, word choice, and sentence structure while also suggesting edits — along with explanations of the edits — that users can review or quickly accept. With Summarize, users can select text and have it recapped in the form of a digestible paragraph, bulleted key points, a table, or a list.

In Mail, staying on top of emails has never been easier. With Priority Messages, a new section at the top of the inbox shows the most urgent emails, like a same-day dinner invitation or boarding pass. Across a user’s inbox, instead of previewing the first few lines of each email, they can see summaries without needing to open a message. For long threads, users can view pertinent details with just a tap. Smart Reply provides suggestions for a quick response, and will identify questions in an email to ensure everything is answered.

Deep understanding of language also extends to Notifications. Priority Notifications appear at the top of the stack to surface what’s most important, and summaries help users scan long or stacked notifications to show key details right on the Lock Screen, such as when a group chat is particularly active. And to help users stay present in what they’re doing, Reduce Interruptions is a new Focus that surfaces only the notifications that might need immediate attention, like a text about an early pickup from daycare.

In the Notes and Phone apps, users can now record, transcribe, and summarize audio. When a recording is initiated while on a call, participants are automatically notified, and once the call ends, Apple Intelligence generates a summary to help recall key points.

Apple Intelligence powers exciting image creation capabilities to help users communicate and express themselves in new ways. With Image Playground, users can create fun images in seconds, choosing from three styles: Animation, Illustration, or Sketch. Image Playground is easy to use and built right into apps including Messages. It’s also available in a dedicated app, perfect for experimenting with different concepts and styles. All images are created on device, giving users the freedom to experiment with as many images as they want.

With Image Playground, users can choose from a range of concepts from categories like themes, costumes, accessories, and places; type a description to define an image; choose someone from their personal photo library to include in their image; and pick their favorite style.

With the Image Playground experience in Messages, users can quickly create fun images for their friends, and even see personalized suggested concepts related to their conversations. For example, if a user is messaging a group about going hiking, they’ll see suggested concepts related to their friends, their destination, and their activity, making image creation even faster and more relevant.

In Notes, users can access Image Playground through the new Image Wand in the Apple Pencil tool palette, making notes more visually engaging. Rough sketches can be turned into delightful images, and users can even select empty space to create an image using context from the surrounding area. Image Playground is also available in apps like Keynote, Freeform, and Pages, as well as in third-party apps that adopt the new Image Playground API.

Taking emoji to an entirely new level, users can create an original Genmoji to express themselves. By simply typing a description, their Genmoji appears, along with additional options. Users can even create Genmoji of friends and family based on their photos. Just like emoji, Genmoji can be added inline to messages, or shared as a sticker or reaction in a Tapback.

Searching for photos and videos becomes even more convenient with Apple Intelligence. Natural language can be used to search for specific photos, such as “Maya skateboarding in a tie-dye shirt,” or “Katie with stickers on her face.” Search in videos also becomes more powerful with the ability to find specific moments in clips so users can go right to the relevant segment. Additionally, the new Clean Up tool can identify and remove distracting objects in the background of a photo — without accidentally altering the subject.

With Memories, users can create the story they want to see by simply typing a description. Using language and image understanding, Apple Intelligence will pick out the best photos and videos based on the description, craft a storyline with chapters based on themes identified from the photos, and arrange them into a movie with its own narrative arc. Users will even get song suggestions to match their memory from Apple Music. As with all Apple Intelligence features, user photos and videos are kept private on device and are not shared with Apple or anyone else.

Powered by Apple Intelligence, Siri becomes more deeply integrated into the system experience. With richer language-understanding capabilities, Siri is more natural, more contextually relevant, and more personal, with the ability to simplify and accelerate everyday tasks. It can follow along if users stumble over words and maintain context from one request to the next. Additionally, users can type to Siri, and switch between text and voice to communicate with Siri in whatever way feels right for the moment. Siri also has a brand-new design with an elegant glowing light that wraps around the edge of the screen when Siri is active.

Siri can now give users device support everywhere they go, and answer thousands of questions about how to do something on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Users can learn everything from how to schedule an email in the Mail app, to how to switch from Light to Dark Mode.

With onscreen awareness, Siri will be able to understand and take action with users’ content in more apps over time. For example, if a friend texts a user their new address in Messages, the receiver can say, “Add this address to his contact card.”

With Apple Intelligence, Siri will be able to take hundreds of new actions in and across Apple and third-party apps. For example, a user could say, “Bring up that article about cicadas from my Reading List,” or “Send the photos from the barbecue on Saturday to Malia,” and Siri will take care of it.

Siri will be able to deliver intelligence that’s tailored to the user and their on-device information. For example, a user can say, “Play that podcast that Jamie recommended,” and Siri will locate and play the episode, without the user having to remember whether it was mentioned in a text or an email. Or they could ask, “When is Mom’s flight landing?” and Siri will find the flight details and cross-reference them with real-time flight tracking to give an arrival time.

To be truly helpful, Apple Intelligence relies on understanding deep personal context while also protecting user privacy. A cornerstone of Apple Intelligence is on-device processing, and many of the models that power it run entirely on device. To run more complex requests that require more processing power, Private Cloud Compute extends the privacy and security of Apple devices into the cloud to unlock even more intelligence.

With Private Cloud Compute, Apple Intelligence can flex and scale its computational capacity and draw on larger, server-based models for more complex requests. These models run on servers powered by Apple silicon, providing a foundation that allows Apple to ensure that data is never retained or exposed.

Independent experts can inspect the code that runs on Apple silicon servers to verify privacy, and Private Cloud Compute cryptographically ensures that iPhone, iPad, and Mac do not talk to a server unless its software has been publicly logged for inspection. Apple Intelligence with Private Cloud Compute sets a new standard for privacy in AI, unlocking intelligence users can trust.

Apple is integrating ChatGPT access into experiences within iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, allowing users to access its expertise — as well as its image- and document-understanding capabilities — without needing to jump between tools.

Siri can tap into ChatGPT’s expertise when helpful. Users are asked before any questions are sent to ChatGPT, along with any documents or photos, and Siri then presents the answer directly.

Additionally, ChatGPT will be available in Apple’s systemwide Writing Tools, which help users generate content for anything they are writing about. With Compose, users can also access ChatGPT image tools to generate images in a wide variety of styles to complement what they are writing.

Privacy protections are built in for users who access ChatGPT — their IP addresses are obscured, and OpenAI won’t store requests. ChatGPT’s data-use policies apply for users who choose to connect their account.

ChatGPT will come to iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia later this year, powered by GPT-4o. Users can access it for free without creating an account, and ChatGPT subscribers can connect their accounts and access paid features right from these experiences.

Availability

Apple Intelligence is free for users, and will be available in beta as part of iOS 18 , iPadOS 18 , and macOS Sequoia  this fall in U.S. English. Some features, software platforms, and additional languages will come over the course of the next year. Apple Intelligence will be available on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad and Mac with M1 and later, with Siri and device language set to U.S. English.
