New ACP publication: Problem Solving in Acute Oncology

Hot off the press, the second edition of Problem Solving in Acute Oncology has been produced by the ACP in partnership with our publishers, EBN Health. This edition provides a hands-on, practical guide to acute oncology for hospital and community teams, GPs and allied care professionals, and includes 38 helpful case studies. It is a valuable tool for doctors, nurses, graduate medical trainees, those planning acute services and anyone involved in cancer care. It is the next title in a multi-award-winning series of oncology books and ACP members are entitled to a discount on all publications.

Results. We report on patient data during the first 12 months of the pilot study. Delivery of the AOS enhanced communication between the services and provided inter-professional education and support, resulting in earlier oncological team involvement in the management of patients with cancer admitted under other teams, as well as provision of advice to patients and their caregivers and families.
