“My mother is my role model, she inspires and motivates me to grow without any barriers”

Children with disabilities, global youth ambassadors, diksha dinde, diksha dinde, a 23-year-old student and activist from india, tells how her mother is her role model and the reason she was able to get an education and fulfil her potential..

Super humans. We read about them, watch them and admire them in the virtual world – but I live with a superhuman. She is my mother.

I am Diksha Dinde, a 23-year-old student and activist from India. I am 84% differently abled, trying to break the stereotypes related to disabled people.

Be it teaching underprivileged children from the slums near where I live or raising awareness to break taboos around menstruation, I have been doing my part to make this world a better place to live.

My mother, Mrs Chitrarekha Dinde, is my role model. She inspires and motivates me to grow without any barriers. It seems to me that this woman looks at life as a challenge and wholeheartedly intends to seize the day every day.     My mother looked after me and supported me in every part of my life. Right from childhood she has been with me like my shadow. It had been riddled with hurdles and difficulties, but she has managed to cross them all to because of the amazing and independent person she is.

Being physically challenged I am not able to move by myself and because of this I have not been able to do daily routine activities since childhood. At the beginning this was a hardship for my mother, but she was determined to make it work.

She not only helped me whenever I needed but she also taught me to help myself. She taught me to keep myself clean and neat, how to eat and how to know how much to eat.  She says, “a child does not learn from what parents say but from what parents do”.

I have had three operations and various therapies on my spine but none have been successful. I was rejected from schools because of their lack of infrastructure and facilities. I was finally admitted to one school.

My mother had to be there with me the whole day, but at the same time she also had to handle our home life. So she started tailoring and working during school hours. That is how she was able to satisfy financial needs in the home.

Now I’ve graduated in Business Administration and I’m pursuing a Masters.

Whenever I look at my mother I see an ordinary person but when I think about what she does and how she does it she becomes divine and the reason of my smile!

The experience of my life so far has truly brought things into perspective. My mother has taught me that hard times can be overcome and that losing battles can be won. She has taught me more than I could have learnt from any book.

She sets an inspirational example to me teaching me how to live life and make wise choices, even in the most uncertain situations.

I respect her a lot. She is my inspiration, my role model.

My role model is my mom

Young people, particularly females, often face a host of societal pressures and limitations due to gender stereotypes, systemic bias, and cultural expectations. In the midst of these challenges, having strong role models can make all the difference. Whether it’s a mother, mentor, teacher, coach, or any other influential figure, a positive role model can help guide and inspire young people to achieve their goals. However, being a role model is a significant responsibility that also requires courage, resilience, determination, and the ability to navigate complex social and political landscapes.

My mom: A master juggler Samira Karimova

I was fortunate enough to have my mother’s unwavering support throughout my life. She consistently demonstrated grace and perseverance in the face of new challenges, whether it was in her career, family life, or personal growth. Through her example, she taught me that women face unique challenges and expectations, akin to juggling a multicolored array of balls. Yet somehow, she manages to keep all the balls in the air with poise, like a masterful juggler, never letting a single one drop to the ground, making me believe that women are capable of achieving all their goals and aspirations without having to compromise.

My mom embodies the strength of a lion and a heart as boundless as the oceans. She balances warmth, kindness, and assertiveness with ease, leaving me in constant awe. Her positive attitude and gentle but firm touches pave the way for me to reach my potential, and her consistent support restores my confidence. Every day, I remind myself how incredibly lucky I am to have such an amazing woman as my mother and role model. My admiration for her wisdom and kindness knows no ends, and I am certain that her influence will endure for years to come. Her guidance is a gift to me, and I have no doubt that it will continue to inspire not just myself, but also my sister and many others.

The unbreakable bond: A tribute to my mom as my role model Mannal Qureshi

Growing up, I had many people I admired–businesswomen, actors, and musicians. But as I’ve grown older, my perspective has changed, and the person I admire most is my mom, Romana Qureshi.

My mom has always been a constant source of love, support, and guidance. She has an unwavering commitment to her family and always puts our needs before hers. Watching her sacrifice and work tirelessly to provide for us, I have learned what true strength and determination look like.

One of the things I admire most about my mom is her ability to stay positive and hopeful, even in the face of adversity. She has a deep sense of faith and trusts that everything happens for a reason. Her optimism and resilience have taught me that no matter how tough things may seem, there’s always a way forward.

When I face challenges, I often think of my mom’s unwavering strength and resolve. Her ability to stay focused and persevere through tough times is a constant reminder that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.

As I continue on my journey through life, I know that my mom will always be there to support and guide me. Her evergreen love and encouragement have given me the strength to pursue my dreams and overcome any obstacle that comes my way.

In a world that often feels chaotic and overwhelming, my mom is a beacon of light and hope. She’s taught me that anything is possible no matter what life throws your way, with hard work, will power, and a lot of love. For that, she will always be my role model and my hero.

Many inspirations, but only one role model Vanessa Bogacki

International Women’s Day is the one day a year where we nationally appreciate the strong, smart, and beautiful woman which we hold near and dear in our hearts. With more than 3.905 billion females around the world, picking just one who I idolize as a role model was difficult. After all, there are women like Oprah Winfrey, who broke barriers for those within the Black community and empowers women on a global level, or Marie Curie, who showcased that women can and will dominate any field of work if they put their minds to it. Despite the amazing things these women taught me were achievable, my idol is none other than my own mother. After immigrating to Canada when she was seventeen, my mom has made it very difficult to follow in her footsteps and frankly, that is why I see her as my hero.

She came to Canada from a country of communism in order to provide her future child with a better life. Coming to a country where she was free was something she could only imagine back at home; she knew change had to happen to achieve this goal. She decided to start a new chapter in Canada, where she ran into many obstacles—the first being a major language barrier, as my mother came to Canada not knowing any English.

Furthermore, she was able to showcase strength by starting a family and following her own dreams while caring for the ambitions of those around her. My mom gave birth to me and knew her life would change. She sacrificed her own wants and needs to support mine. She further strived to ensure I was properly cared for, so I knew all my life I was loved.

Regardless of this, she knew she would have to fight all her life. Ever since she stepped off the plane, she knew life would not be easy and if she wanted something, she would have to work to get it. Once I was born, my dreams were now hers, and throughout my whole life she has always been there. From dance recital to concert, no matter how good or bad I was, my mom had my back.

In my lifetime, I will never be able to repay her for her sacrifice and effort. The multiple sleepless nights, overworked days, and sacrificed dreams my mom had will never be taken for granted. She has shaped me into the person I am today, and she will forever be my role model.

My Mother is Hero and Role Model

How it works

The dictionary definition of a hero is someone who is admired of their achievements or their noble qualities. To me, the definition of a hero is someone who helps others and is caring. The person that had the greatest impact on my life really didn’t have that great life herself. The person that has had the greatest impact on my life isn’t rich or famous or invented something that changed the world. My mother while being a single parent my mother has shaped me into the man I am today because she always worked through adversity, impacted other children , and inspired me in a plethora amount of ways.

Adversity can help determine what one is truly able to do. Born in Miami Florida, my mother’s alcoholic mother brought forth her in the back of a taxi. At nine years old, my mother was sexually attacked by an uncle and at 16 she turned into a high school mother herself wanting to give up on herself and dealing with the doubt of other family members she decided to stick it out and be the first one out of the family to graduate from high school. At the point when she turned 21, she found herself a mother of four with a physically abusive husband and once again wanting to walk away and give up but stayed because she knew the importance of young black boys having a father figure. Subsequent to getting away from her oppressive home life, my mother brought my siblings and I up the best way she could. On a modest single-parent salary my mother would always put aside money from her checks because she believed that one day she would one day be an entrepreneur. yet through many cancelled checks and construction deals she never lost sight of her dream. My mother was a firm believer in the saying of “hard work pays off”. As a single parent of four youthful kids, my mother was no stranger to hard work. She put in unlimited hours at work to accommodate her family, while likewise still pushing at her dream to be an entrepreneur of a children’s daycare. My mother knew going back to college to get a degree would help her reach her goals yet adjusting family and employment duties would be troublesome. While trying to stay on track one of my older brothers attracted a disease, requiring her to abandon her all-day occupation to tend to him. Since he was recuperating, she realized that in the event that she needed to go back to school it was a now or never situation. After a tough four years she obtained her bachelor’s degree in management when it seemed all the odds were against her. Thus, becoming the entrepreneur and daycare owner she always dreamt of becoming.

Role models have an outstanding effect on the lives of young people in our society. A role model has the ability to shape the views, ideals, and actions of a young person. Role models helps the youth discover who they wish to become in the future. Being an entrepreneur of your own business is no easy task, especially when you must gain the trust of other parents most precious jewels. My mom cares for other people’s children just as if they were her own. This job can be very stressful and draining. As for my crazy mother, she makes it seem so effortless. From homework assistance, diaper changing to recreational games and nap time she is always on her feet. Not to mention the numerous amount of meetings and interviews that she attends throughout the week. My heroic mother has it all worked out like clockwork. When the children arrive at the daycare she immediately jumps into homework assistance to help the children understand the task that is before them. I can remember one year she had a child who attended her daycare facility who could not read nor write. After working with this child day in a day out and speaking positivity into his life she helped him read and write and helped him to become the highest student out of third grade class. On another occasion she helped a young girl who did not believe graduating high school was something that was obtainable. My mother took the girl up under her wings and told her that she can do anything she sets her mind to. By the end of her exhausting and gruesome day one would infer that as soon as she steps foot into the doorway of our house she would fall face forward to the ground. However, when she gets home she then helps my younger siblings with homework and give them a numerous amount of vocabulary and spelling test to ensure they understand the material. My tireless mother just doesn’t stop there she then sits down at the dinner table and comes up with different methods to ensure that she is being a positive role model to the kids she supervise.

There have been a vast number of people that have an impact on my life. Many different people have shared a piece of valuable information with me. However, my mom has always been there for me to make sure every dream or goal I may have is reached. Ever since I can remember my mom has done whatever she could to help me succeed in numerous things. Whether I was struggling in a class, driving me wherever I needed to be, or just needed someone to be there for support, my mom was always the first one there. In ninth grade I became very sick and fell far behind in school. I almost didn’t pass a few classes due to absence’s, but my mom worked with me, stayed up late to help me, and talked to my teachers asking for extensions so I could get caught up and move on to the tenth grade with no worries of the past. Many parents I know would just leave it up to their kids and if they didn’t pass they didn’t pass. Not my mom I’m fortunate enough to have a thoughtful enough mom to push me and help me through the hard times. Also, I have been running track since the age of seven, and competing in track meets since I was eight. A big part of the track life is traveling, for the most part, pretty far. I always depended on my mom to get me to the places I needed to be. No matter what she was doing, she made sure I was there and on time with all my stuff ready to run. I know that if it wasn’t for her going through such great lengths for me I would never been able to experience everything I have so far.

In conclusion, my mother is the best thing I could have ever asked for she been through so much but always found a way to inspire me and others what a true definition of a superwomen.

Everyone has that one person they look up to as a role model; to me there is none other than my mom. She has beauty, brains, and one of the biggest hearts I know. Without her in my life I have no idea where I would be. Someday, when I am married and have children of my own, I hope I can be just as great of a mom to them as my mom has been for me. it is my mother who is the most important and most influential person in my life. My mother raised me by herself since the day I was born.

A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stand in its path is me. I consider myself one of the luckiest people on earth, due to the fact I was fortunate enough to enjoy a mother’s love and nevertheless due to this day. The worst aspect that can ever show up to a man or woman is now not to journey what it feels to be loved with the aid of his/her mother. A mother’s love can by no means be expressed with words, it can only be felt, and it is the most stunning aspect on earth. If God’s love is at the highest peak, then a mother’s love for her infant is slightly underneath it, if not next to it. My mother is the most vital character in my life. My mom and I have this natural bond together that I’m sure to exist between moms and their children. I cannot explain it but when she is around, I feel safe. My mom is sincere and trustworthy. Never once in my life have, I ever heard my mother tell a lie, without a reason as to why she said aa lie. She always says the truth no matter what the situation is. The worst thing to my mother is seeing us sad and upset; she would do anything in her power to see us happy and full of joy.

Another great trait of my mother is that she is very friendly and welcoming. People are continually attracted to her nice vibe and jovial nature. She does not fake to smile to try to impress people for the wrong reasons. If she likes you, she will go out of her way to make you feel special. She is very slow to anger however, even if she is angered, she will try to control her tongue. When we fight, she’s tired and we get into a fight and sometimes she can’t control her words. After our fight, we reconciled, and she says sorry that she said those mean things. She always reminds us, words hurt people. Words are like feathers that have been blown away by the wind, you can’t get it back once they flew away. My mom is very generous. She extends an assisting hand to every person who needs it, she is the type that will use the right hand to assist you with the left hand knowing. She does not help people publicly for the whole world to see, she does it from the heart, without expecting something in return. Coming from a humble background, she is familiar with what it feels like to go hungry ad she will do whatever it helps everyone, consisting of strangers. She is a very strong woman, ever since my dad died, she must work two jobs to help our family here and in the Philippines. She was really depressed and wanted to kill herself because my dad left her. It was a really hard time for her, but she realized that my brother and I are waiting for her, so she worked hard to get us here in Saudi Arabia.

My mom is a person you can rely on, if she stays, she will do something, be rest assured that she is going to do it. There are no shortcuts to her when she promises something. She loves the truth no matter how disheartening it may be. The thing that I did in my body was really disheartening to her because losing your kid, hurt more than losing some other relative. She is also a great counselor. She is a good listener and will lend you her ear if you need it, without judging you. For example, I was fighting with my mom because I always use my phone, she suddenly grabbed my arm with fresh wounds then is when she saw my scars, she asked where it’s from, I told her that I have cut myself because I feel worthless and useless. She told me with crying eyes, “Why would you do something like that? I brought you to this world to grow and not to end your life. Mary Anne, your brother and I will always be here. I don’t want to see those scars. I love you to too much, I can’t handle my only girl to die, I already lost your dad I can’t afford to lose you too. So, please stop this. We will help you.” She changed the way that I look at life. I relied on her and now I’m getting better and think about the positive things than the negative side. This is the main reason she is my best friend. Prayer is part and parcel of her life and she still prays today. My mom is born and raised a catholic, my mom ensures that Sunday devotion was mandatory for all of us. She would pray in the morning, at dinner time and before she slept. She is hardworking. My mom didn’t come from a wealthy family. She had to work her way up, through sheer will and hard work. She stressed the importance of sticking together as a family. She hated when we fought like siblings and she would discipline us thoroughly, even if it broke her heart. Most importantly, she ensures the whole family gets together every holiday because it’s very important.

Therefore, I will forever be grateful to God for giving me such a wonderful mother. She is my role model and I will mold my life to be like hers. In my eyes, she is the embodiment of perfect motherhood and she is the standard that I will forever strive to achieve. She may be harsh on words, but she always helped us to think about the words that we are going to say before saying it. She is a good counselor and the person that I can rely on. She taught me that I should always pay back what she did to me because she’s the one who changed my life in a good way. She advised me to look at life from another perspective. She taught me to always pay their kindness back. She also taught me to always rely on her and on God because they will always be here. She taught me to work harder to have a peaceful life in the future. I am proud that I am her daughter.

essay about a role model mom

I've always appreciated my mom. She's a wonderful mother and we have a very strong relationship. However, it wasn't until I had my own daughter and became a mother myself that I realized just how much work and effort and energy it must have taken to be such a great mom to me and my siblings. Being a mom is tough, both emotionally and logistically, and my mom did it with aplomb, day in and day out. I could write a novel about the reasons why my own mother is my mom role model , but today I'm going to stick with the best 10.

Since turning 1, my daughter has had some bad reactions to her vaccinations . She wasn't sick once in her whole first year of life, so it was the first time I was dealing with a sick child , and my first time not being able to help soothe her pain. Like most of my tough parenting moments in this first year and a half, my mom was always on the other end of the phone helping me through it. At one point after a particularly hard stretch, we were chatting about how hard motherhood can be and it hit me that I could only truly appreciate how incredible a mom she was and is, now that I am a mom myself.

I think there are two feelings that come with motherhood that especially make me realize my mother is my own mom role model . The feeling of truly being willing to do absolutely anything for your child, and the feeling of not being able to help them when something is wrong. Knowing how exhausting it is to live with those feelings, I have an even bigger appreciation for the grace and energy my mom brought to her role as my mother. I hope I can do a fraction of the job she did, with my own children.

Because She Worked Hard

Through most of my childhood memories, I can't even remember my mom sitting down. She was constantly doing and going, nearly always with a smile on her face. She worked hard taking care of us and showing us how loved we were, and then she went to work and worked equally hard, first part-time when we were young and later back to full-time as a teacher and school administrator.

Because She Baked

My mother somehow managed to be the Maine version of Martha Stewart (minus the prison time) with limited resources and obviously limited time. Honestly, I don't know where she found the time in her day, while raising three kids, to bake treats and sew our Easter dresses, all while renovating a nineteenth century farmhouse that needed constant re-painting.

Because She Threw Killer Birthday Parties

Maybe not Pinterest-style perfect , but the birthday parties she threw us as kids were so full of her creativity and the joy she took in planning games and decorating cakes to match a theme. I had a detective party when I was maybe 9 years old, that I think was just the best party of all time; complete with pin the magnifying glass on the detective, an indoor-outdoor scavenger hunt, and a dodge the laser game that covered the living room in string. They weren't overly matching or stress-inducing, they were just totally fun and creative.

Because She Gives The Best Pep Talks

Still gives the best pep talks. My dad does as well, but man: when things aren't going right, my mom knows exactly what to say to make me feel better. Despite the fact that she works more now than ever, she always has the time for taking those calls when I really need a pep talk.

Because She Loves Hanging Out With Her Kids

I never once felt like she didn't want to be hanging out with us. In fact, I still feel like she truly wants to spend as much time as possible with us.

Because She Treated Us Like Adults In Conversation

Some of my favorite memories of growing up were sitting around the dinner table for hours, discussing politics or current events or whatever was in the local paper that morning. I loved those conversations, and they really taught me how to speak and converse like an adult more than anything else I did growing up, all because my parents invited us to join them at the grown-up table, so to speak.

Because She Spent Hours Teaching Me Geometry

I love my daughter more than I could ever explain, but sometimes I look at her and wonder if I could spend so many hours trying to help her understand something as painful as geometry . She had what seemed like unending patience while I literally banged my head against the wall. I hope one day I can show my daughter that same excruciating patience.

Because We Still Quote Her Weird Sayings

My brother and sister and I still regularly use her weird sayings and songs. When we were little and getting in the car for a ride , she'd threaten to sing if we didn't put our seat belts on, so it wasn't as though her voice was melodic. She definitely leaned more toward totally made-up and punny, rather than sweet and soothing, but remarkably apropos in so many situations. There were nights when dinner was "FFYS," or "fend for yourself," and she was forever admonishing us to GWTF, also known as "go with the flow." Life lessons in acronym form, right there for the taking.

Because She Still Wants To Protect Me

When we began the adoption process my mother was supportive, but worried for me. She knew the depth and scale of the hurt in an adoption journey that could potentially be so painful for me. Even once we adopted our daughter and started fostering , I could tell she just didn't want to see our hearts break in the process. I want that to be me, 30 years from now, wishing success for my daughter but also still struggling to want to protect her.

Because She's Still My First Call

My mom is still my first call when things go wrong. She can still soothe what ails me even though we've lived several thousand miles apart for almost a decade now. That's what I wish for my daughter, too: that she would still want to call her mom for help or a pep talk even when she's a grown up.
