VMOU admissions are conducted through both online and offline modes. Admission to all the UG and PG courses (except B.Ed, MBA, MCA) is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. The university conducts  VMOU MET  and VMOU B.Ed entrance exams for admission to the MBA and B.Ed programs respectively. MCA admissions are done through an entrance examination conducted by the university. 

VMOU Ph.D. admissions are based on the entrance test followed by a personal interview conducted by the university. Candidates having valid scores in NET/ SET/  GATE  are exempted from the entrance test.

VMOU Application Process 2024

As the university keeps the application process in online & offline mode, it is necessary to visit the official website of the university to apply. The below steps will enlight how to proceed with the application in online mode:

VMOU has 22 departments and five schools that offer various UG, PG, and PhD courses through distance education. VMOU departments and schools are mentioned below:

VMOU has a total of 7 regional centers in Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur and Bharatpur. It has more than 100 study centers across all the major cities in Rajasthan along with a special center in New Delhi.

VMOU conducts semester-wise examinations for its UG and PG courses. The university releases UG and PG examination results online on its official portal. VMOU also provides the opportunity for revaluation of answer keys. Students who are not satisfied with the results can apply for revaluation by paying a required fee. VMOU results can be checked and downloaded by visiting the official website. Students who have appeared for the examinations can check the result by entering their scholar number on the result portal.

The university has also started the facility for online submission of assignments. If a student is unable to submit the assignment, then VMOU will not release the examination results for such students. VMOU offers scholarship aids for differently-abled students, this scholarship is provided by the NHFDC. Under this financial scheme, a total number of 2500 students will be provided financial assistance which covers course fees, maintenance allowance, books & stationery allowance, and aids & appliances for the students studying professional or technical degree or PG level curriculum. Candidates having an annual family income of less than INR 2.5 lakhs (for SC) and INR 1.5 lakhs (for OBC) are eligible to apply for scholarships. Candidates will need to submit the required documents such as proof or residence, caste certificate, and income certificate.

• Library: The library of VMOU is equipped with a huge stock of books, periodicals & journals. A total number of 87700 books are there. Around 8404 reference books, 2050 bound volume journals, 452 audio-video cassettes, 115 CDs of books, 381 & 25 CDs & DVDs of journals, 275 theses & dissertations. Students, teaching staff can avail these books. 
• Study Centers: The university has various study centers established so that students can opt for their desired course in their regional area. These centers contain multiple facilities for students such as Audio and Video facilities, Coordinators and other trained supervisors, Program-specific outlook, Organization of regional service units etc. 
• Student Advisory Cell: The University has a special advisory cell at its headquarters so that students can cater consultation in any need. All forms and admission documents can be availed from this cell. The cell also includes an array of promotional literature and solves all problems and grievances of students.

My experience in college

• There are good teachers they taught well
• Good study environment they provide silent library to study
• Canteen facility wasn't Good at all not many things to eat
• They didn't allow us to borrow books from library

For my course was the minimum Mark in the 12th class that is I'm from the general category so no research benefits and so I have no idea about it as I said before there is close to no paperwork, you can do everything online there are two sessions January to December & July to June exams are average from my perspective for the admission process.

There is no entrance exam for ug courses but they have an entrance exam for pg courses and the cut-off is also very good everyone can get admission easily there if you are a fresher you need a 12th marksheet, and your personal details, bank details photo, etc. They have reservations for the lower caste.

• Faculty are very helpful. Every practical very easy because all features and daught completed by over lectures.

• Campus faculty was great and they were too supportive.

• The admission process was too lengthy i was stucked every time
• Sometimes the students did mass bunk in the classes

You should complete your 12th before filling out the form. we can find their forms online on a specific time period. I didn't avail. There should be proper notifications for the opening of the forms and their further details.

VMOU (KOTA OPEN UNIVERSITY) KOTA

Vmou is an open university so you can avail of any course and your home books material will be provided by the college itself and books are so good amd very helpful. You can select your examination centre as per your choice and also you can change examinations city each year. Now the assignment submission problem is also going to resolve. There are only one problem times VMOU starts exams 2 to 3 months late from its session it means if you are a student of the July session then maybe your exams will be in Sept. October next year. Copy checking system is not that much rigid you can score good marks in every subject
