Their team hires experienced writers, but if you will take a look at their form for academic writers, you won’t find any information if they are hiring natives only, so no one guarantees who will write your paper after the order.

The company offers a wide range of writing and editing services, however, there is no service page itself. At the website, you will be able to find anything except the description of papers they can write and the process of ordering and working with them. The only option is to find some information on frequently asked questions page to learn more about the process in general. Papers types they are working with are listed in the order form and the pricing calculator only.

In the order form, visitors can access a full list of choices. This list combines services in two main categories: custom writing and editing, improving and proofreading. The latter combines a rather strange choice of wording, more specifically the improving service. After all, proofreading and editing also improve a paper, which made this offer rather confusing.

Their agents cleared this up when we asked. Apparently, the improving service is basically rewriting, which is definitely unclear by the name. Other than this problem with the services, we found no other issue to share in this Uk-Assignments.com review since the list is very satisfactory and combines most of the papers students of all levels might be assigned to write.

The big list gave us a good feeling, but this was quickly ruined after we took a first glance at the paper. We should have assumed by reading the UK Assignment help reviews. They were tremendously against ordering from the company and yet, we trusted all the promises and the fine quote we saw before we ordered.

The quality was extremely bad. In fact, it was so bad, no ‘improving’ service could fix it in time to meet the deadline we set. It had fewer words than we ordered, some plagiarism, and an unbelievable number of language errors.

UK assignments team claims that they are offering premium quality service with the most affordable prices on the internet. This was actually an honest statement. Since they have a calculator available for use for their site’s visitors, we decided to use it to check how much an undergraduate essay of 250 words would cost if ordered a week ahead of the deadline.

The amount that the calculator showed was £19.50 for the text. This price is average among such companies, so this would make the company not cheap when compared to others. The same essay with a deadline of 24 hours here would cost £ 24.98, and the rates aren’t much different for the higher levels, either.

This company has two types of discounts: for new customers, they have a discount coupon code that gives 10% off on any order you place with them. If you like the service and decide to get back, you will get 5% off on the following orders you make.

Helpful Extras

The UK assignments team provides customer support service only during definite time-frames: Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 22:00, UK time. So, they are not the best option for all English speaking students worldwide since the connection and fast response in case of writing tasks outsourcing are mandatory.

The options they do have are phone, Skype, and email. Chat is missing, so you cannot ask a fast question using chat support at this service. It took us a long time to learn about the strange service we mentioned.

We also took a look at their papers samples. These are very rich and numerous, which initially looked like an excellent chance to see how the writers work. CEO of world’s biggest ad firm targeted by deepfake scam

The head of the world’s biggest advertising group was the target of an elaborate deepfake scam that involved an artificial intelligence voice clone. The CEO of WPP , Mark Read, detailed the attempted fraud in a recent email to leadership, warning others at the company to look out for calls claiming to be from top executives.

Fraudsters created a WhatsApp account with a publicly available image of Read and used it to set up a Microsoft Teams meeting that appeared to be with him and another senior WPP executive, according to the email obtained by the Guardian. During the meeting, the impostors deployed a voice clone of the executive as well as YouTube footage of them. The scammers impersonated Read off-camera using the meeting’s chat window. The scam, which was unsuccessful, targeted an “agency leader”, asking them to set up a new business in an attempt to solicit money and personal details.

“Fortunately the attackers were not successful,” Read wrote in the email. “We all need to be vigilant to the techniques that go beyond emails to take advantage of virtual meetings, AI and deepfakes.” A WPP spokesperson confirmed the phishing attempt bore no fruit in a statement: “Thanks to the vigilance of our people, including the executive concerned, the incident was prevented.” WPP did not respond to questions on when the attack took place or which executives besides Read were involved.

Once primarily a concern related to online harassment, pornography and political disinformation, the number of deepfake attacks in the corporate world has surged over the past year. AI voice clones have fooled banks, duped financial firms out of millions and put cybersecurity departments on alert. In one high-profile example, an executive of the defunct digital media startup Ozy pleaded guilty to fraud and identity theft after it was reported he used voice-faking software to impersonate a YouTube executive in an attempt to fool Goldman Sachs into investing $40m in 2021.

The attempted fraud on WPP likewise appeared to use generative AI for voice cloning, but also included simpler techniques like taking a publicly available image and using it as a contact display picture. The attack is representative of the many tools that scammers now have at their disposal to mimic legitimate corporate communications and imitate executives.

“We have seen increasing sophistication in the cyber-attacks on our colleagues, and those targeted at senior leaders in particular,” Read said in the email.

Read’s email listed a number of bullet points to look out for as red flags, including requests for passports, money transfers and any mention of a “secret acquisition, transaction or payment that no one else knows about”.

“Just because the account has my photo doesn’t mean it’s me,” Read said in the email.

WPP, a publicly traded company with a market cap of about $11.3bn, also stated on its website that it had been dealing with fake sites using its brand name and was working with relevant authorities to stop the fraud.

“Please be aware that WPP’s name and those of its agencies have been fraudulently used by third parties – often communicating via messaging services – on unofficial websites and apps,” a pop-up message on the company’s contact page states.

Many companies are grappling with the boom of generative AI, pivoting resources toward the technology while simultaneously facing its potential harms. WPP announced last year that it was partnering with the chip-maker Nvidia to create advertisements with generative AI, touting it as a sea change in the industry.

“Generative AI is changing the world of marketing at incredible speed. This new technology will transform the way that brands create content for commercial use,” Read said in a statement last May.

In recent years, low-cost audio deepfake technology has become widely available and far more convincing. Some AI models can generate realistic imitations of a person’s voice using only a few minutes of audio, which is easily obtained from public figures, allowing scammers to create manipulated recordings of almost anyone.

The rise of deepfake audio has targeted political candidates around the world, but also crept into other less prominent targets. A school principal in Baltimore was put on leave this year over audio recordings that sounded like he was making racist and antisemitic comments, only for it to turn out to be a deepfake perpetrated by one of his colleagues. Bots have impersonated Joe Biden and former presidential candidate Dean Phillips .

Don't make the same mistake I did

Please do the right thing and do not use this company. When I saw the reviews, I was almost certain that I would recieve exceptional work however, I received anything but. My work was copied directly of the internet and was lazily done. When I asked for a revision, the writer, "David" who was actually a man named Nigel, the owner of the business, a none degree holding builder, paraphrased the entire work using AI and sent it back to me. The work was beyond basic and false citations were used throughout the work. I asked for a refund but to no avail. This company does not care about your work. As soon as they've got your money they can produce anything they want and there's nothing you can do about it. Please do the right thing and avoid UK-Assignments.

A 74-year-old man, Nelson Shardey, who lived and worked in the United Kingdom for over four decades, is shocked to learn that he is not a British citizen.

This was after he was told by the UK Home Office that he had no right to be in the country because he was not officially recognised as a citizen, despite living there all his adult life.

Not being British means Nelson Shardey now would have to grapple with payment of high taxes and footing thousands of pounds to stay on the UK's NHS.

It also means that the 74-year-old man would have to wait 10 years to stay in the UK permanently, according to the Home Office.

Shardey moved to the UK via study route

Mr Shardey reportedly moved to the UK in 1977 via the study route and had to resort to menial jobs to fend for himself abroad due to his parent's inability to support him because of a coup that occurred in Ghana around that time.

Having successfully settled in the UK, Mr Shardey married a British woman and relocated to Wallasey to start a business, Nelson's News.

His first marriage, however, did not last long, forcing him to marry another British woman with whom he has sons, Jacob and Aaron.

He has lived in the country for 42 years on the assumption that he is a UK citizen, only to learn otherwise in 2019.

Consequently, the Home Office has asked him to apply for the 10-year route to settlement, designed for people who want to move to the UK for work.

Mr Shardey, in a recent interview with the BBC , expressed shock at the news from the Home Office concerning his citizenship.

“I cannot afford to pay any part of the money they are asking. Telling me to go through that route is a punishment, and it’s not fair in any way. I don’t understand why this fuss at all, because I put my life, my whole self into this country,” he said.

Warning to boil drinking water in Devon area after 22 cases of diarrhoea disease confirmed

The UK Health Security Agency, which is leading an investigation into the outbreak, has confirmed at least 22 cases of disease have been detected. People living in two different areas have now been told to boil their tap drinking water by South West Water.

People have been told to boil their drinking water after 22 cases of a waterborne disease were confirmed in and around a town in South West England.

"Small traces" of a parasite which can cause a disease with diarrhoea symptoms were found in the water supply in Devon on Wednesday, according to South West Water.

It added it is working with the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) to "eliminate the source" of the disease and that bottled water stations will be set up in the areas affected. One has already been set up to distribute bottled water at the Broadsands Beach car park in Paignton.

The detected parasite - cryptosporidium - can cause cryptosporidiosis disease when it is passed on to humans.

Anyone can get the disease and it can be a serious illness in people who have immune systems that are not working properly, according to the UKHSA - though most healthy people should recover.

Infections can be caused by drinking contaminated water or swallowing contaminated water in swimming pools or streams. It can also be acquired by animal and human contact.

South West Water said: "Customers in Alston and the Hillhead area of Brixham are advised to boil their drinking water before consuming following new test results for cryptosporidium.

"We are issuing this notice following small traces of the organism identified overnight and this morning."

As well as the 22 people confirmed to have the disease, as many as 70 other reported cases of diarrhoea and vomiting in residents and visitors to Brixham are also under investigation and more confirmed cases are expected.

What is the parasite causing disease outbreak?

Cryptosporidium is a microscopic parasite that commonly lives in the guts of wild and domesticated animals, and can contaminate reservoirs and rivers that water companies use as a source for their supply.

It can cause really unpleasant diarrhoea and vomiting for several weeks.

Children under the age of 5 and people with weak immune systems are likely to be worst affected, with dehydration and weight loss. In severe cases people may need hospital care.

There is no specific treatment for the parasite itself. But people who are infected need to drink plenty of fluids. It's also a good idea to talk to a pharmacist about oral rehydration sachets to help replace the sugar, salts and minerals the body has lost.

The illness, called cryptosporidiosis, is highly infectious and is easily passed around a household. The UK Health Security Agency says hygiene is important. It recommends handwashing with soap after using the toilet or changing nappies, and before eating. It also advises washing bedding and towels on the hottest possible cycle.

People shouldn't prepare food for others until they have been symptom-free for at least 48 hours. The Agency also urges people not to return to work or school until two days after symptoms stop.

The disease is so unpleasant that alarm bells ring when the parasite is found in the water supply.

It's a challenge to kill because its small size means it is difficult to filter out. It's also resistant to chlorine, which kills most other bugs to give us clean tap water.

That's why water companies have to assess the risk of the bug in the source of their supply. It's a regulatory requirement and failure to comply is an offence.

South West Water added it was "urgently investigating" and apologised for the inconvenience.

Sarah Bird, consultant in health protection at UKHSA South West, added: "We advise people in the affected areas to follow the advice from South West Water and boil their drinking water and allow to cool before use.

"Anyone with a diarrhoeal illness should drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration and if they have severe symptoms like bloody diarrhoea, they should contact NHS 111 or their GP surgery."

Cryptosporidiosis symptoms include watery diarrhoea, stomach pains, dehydration, weight loss and fever, which can last for two to three weeks, the UKHSA added.

Ms Bird continued: "For most people, cryptosporidium symptoms can be managed at home without needing medical advice.

"Those affected should stay off school and work for 48 hours since the last episode of illness and away from swimming pools for 14 days after the last episode of illness."

Torbay Council had said on Tuesday that South West Water had been carrying out tests for the parasite.

After initially finding the water supply was safe and fine to use as normal, the water company issued an update with the tap water warning on Wednesday.

It comes after hundreds of residents said on the Facebook group Brixham Fish Town that they have fallen ill in recent days.

A post to the group on Tuesday had more than 1,200 comments from locals saying they or a family member were sick.

One person said on the group they were "fuming that this could happen" after confirmation of the parasite in the water supply.

Anthony Mangnall, the Conservative MP for Totnes, said he is "aware of current reports of illness in Brixham, and concerns regarding the quality of drinking water".

He added he knew of "many more reported cases of diarrhoea and vomiting in residents" in the town.

The cause of the outbreak has not yet been confirmed.

There’s a New Covid Variant. What Will That Mean for Spring and Summer?

For most of this year, the JN.1 variant of the coronavirus accounted for an overwhelming majority of Covid cases . But now, an offshoot variant called KP.2 is taking off. The variant, which made up just one percent of cases in the United States in mid-March, now makes up over a quarter.

KP.2 belongs to a subset of Covid variants that scientists have cheekily nicknamed “FLiRT,” drawn from the letters in the names of their mutations. They are descendants of JN.1, and KP.2 is “very, very close” to JN.1, said Dr. David Ho, a virologist at Columbia University. But Dr. Ho has conducted early lab tests in cells that suggest that slight differences in KP.2’s spike protein might make it better at evading our immune defenses and slightly more infectious than JN.1.

While cases currently don’t appear to be on the rise, researchers and physicians are closely watching whether the variant will drive a summer surge.

“I don’t think anybody’s expecting things to change abruptly, necessarily,” said Dr. Marc Sala, co-director of the Northwestern Medicine Comprehensive Covid-19 Center in Chicago. But KP.2 will most likely “be our new norm,’” he said. Here’s what to know.

The current spread of Covid

Experts said it would take several weeks to see whether KP.2 might lead to a rise in Covid cases, and noted that we have only a limited understanding of how the virus is spreading. Since the public health emergency ended , there is less robust data available on cases, and doctors said fewer people were using Covid tests.

But what we do know is reassuring: Despite the shift in variants, data from the C.D.C. suggests there are only “minimal ” levels of the virus circulating in wastewater nationally, and emergency department visits and hospitalizations fell between early March and late April.

“I don’t want to say that we already know everything about KP.2,” said Dr. Ziyad Al-Aly, the chief of research and development at the Veterans Affairs St. Louis Healthcare System. “But at this time, I’m not seeing any major indications of anything ominous.”

Protection from vaccines and past infections

Experts said that even if you had JN.1, you may still get reinfected with KP.2 — particularly if it’s been several months or longer since your last bout of Covid.

KP.2 could infect even people who got the most updated vaccine, Dr. Ho said, since that shot targets XBB.1.5, a variant that is notably different from JN.1 and its descendants. An early version of a paper released in April by researchers in Japan suggested that KP.2 might be more adept than JN.1 at infecting people who received the most recent Covid vaccine. (The research has not yet been peer-reviewed or published.) A spokesperson for the C.D.C. said the agency was continuing to monitor how vaccines perform against KP.2.

Still, the shot does provide some protection, especially against severe disease, doctors said, as do previous infections. At this point, there isn’t reason to believe that KP.2 would cause more severe illness than other strains, the C.D.C. spokesperson said. But people who are 65 and older, pregnant or immunocompromised remain at higher risk of serious complications from Covid.

Those groups, in particular, may want to get the updated vaccine if they haven’t yet, said Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, an infectious disease specialist at the University of California, San Francisco. The C.D.C. has recommended t hat people 65 and older who already received one dose of the updated vaccine get an additional shot at least four months later.

“Even though it’s the lowest level of deaths and hospitalizations we’ve seen, I’m still taking care of sick people with Covid,” he said. “And they all have one unifying theme, which is that they’re older and they didn’t get the latest shot.”

The latest on symptoms and long Covid

Doctors said that the symptoms of both KP.2 and JN.1 — which now makes up around 16 percent of cases — are most likely similar to those seen with other variants . These include sore throat, runny nose, coughing, head and body aches, fever, congestion, fatigue and in severe cases, shortness of breath. Fewer people lose their sense of taste and smell now than did at the start of the pandemic, but some people will still experience those symptoms.

Dr. Chin-Hong said that patients were often surprised that diarrhea, nausea and vomiting could be Covid symptoms as well, and that they sometimes confused those issues as signs that they had norovirus .

For many people who’ve already had Covid, a reinfection is often as mild or milder than their first case. While new cases of long Covid are less common now than they were at the start of the pandemic, repeat infections do raise the risk of developing long Covid, said Fikadu Tafesse, a virologist at Oregon Health & Science University. But researchers are still trying to determine by how much — one of many issues scientists are trying to untangle as the pandemic continues to evolve.

“That’s the nature of the virus,” Dr. Tafesse said. “It keeps mutating.”
