University students will complete their homework in about 10, 25, or 50 minutes depending on which one you choose. Default is about 150 minutes.

Additionally, they’ll be able to complete their homework even while Tense or Uncomfortable.

• Note – Sims with Research & Debate skill at 3+ will complete faster than above times.

*Faster Homework for Teens/Children can be found in Homework Tweaks. Completely compatible.*

• University students will complete their homework in about 10 minutes

• University students will complete their homework in about 25 minutes

• University students will complete their homework in about 50 minutes.

Are mods safe?  … It is perfectly safe to download mods.

How do you use Sims 4 mods ? Extract the two files within the . zip file and place both of them into your Sims 4 mods folder. The mods folder is found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mod

Using sims 4 Discover University mods can be beneficial for your sims in numerous ways.

They’ll help expand their horizon and make their lives easier and more enjoyable.

Sims 4 University Mods

Our curriculum of sims 4 university mods will help improve your young sims’ learning experience.

They’ll provide everything from new degrees, traits, and challenges to fun things like picking their own roommates.

1. University Aspiration Pack by PimpMySims4

To give your sims some challenges during their semester, add these sims 4 university mods to your game.

These mods will create new aspirations that your sims can complete for rewards.

The university aspiration pack contains seven challenges:

• Party School
• Campus Crush
• Balanced Life
• Part-Time Student
• Part-Time Parent
• Campus Crook

Completing any of these aspirations will award your sims a trait that will grant certain perks.

For example, completing the  Campus Crook  aspiration will give you the  Professional Slacker  trait.

With this trait, your sims will not fear being fired or demoted in their career.

2. Faster Term Paper Mod by Ilkavelle

This university mod changes the speed at which your sims do their academic work.

So, when your sims are writing their term papers or prepping for a presentation, the work will get done twice as fast.

This small mod will help you save time and allow your sims to do other things like part-time work or partying.

3. Jump To University Mod by Zero’s Sims 4 Mods

If your sims household has teens that are straight-A students, this sims 4 university mod will help them enroll early.

This mod relies solely on chance.

So, even if your teen sims do great in school, the opportunity may or may not show itself.

The chances are significantly increased if your teen sims have the  Genius   trait.

When the option pops up, you decide whether or not your sims quit high school and go to university.

If you decline the offer, your sims will continue their high school journey and apply to university later in life.

Accepting the proposal will send an application letter, and your sims will have to wait  one day  to get a response.

4. University Application Overhaul by A.Deep.Indigo

These sims 4 university mods revamp the process of your sims applying to a university.

Adding a few extra steps to enrolling into an educational institution makes to whole experience more realistic.

You’ll find the new interactions in the  University  pie menu  on a computer.

Your sims can now take a tour of either or both the  Britechester  and  Foxbury  schools.

There are a few requirements to fulfill before getting the chance to apply:

• Starting the application process
• Getting  two  letters of recommendation from a teacher and counselor
• Getting high school transcripts
• Writing an essay
• Do interviews
• Reviewing the application before submission

Only when everything is done can your sims apply to the university.

5. University Life Aspiration Mod by Simularity

This sims 4 university mod gives your sims a list of goals to complete to ultimately win a reward.

The aspiration challenge will take time and follow them throughout their educational journey.

This mod should be used before your sims start the application process.

The challenge begins with your sims applying for a scholarship, enrolling in a university, etc.

You’ll claim your reward only when your sims graduate from university.

The prize is the  Fond Memories  trait.

This trait will grant different positive moodlets when your sims remember the good times at university.

6. University for Genius Teens by Ilkavelle

These  two  sims 4 university mods allow teen sims to enroll in higher education at a younger age.

The first one requires your teen sims to have the  Genius  personality trait attributed to them.

So, sims can apply at any time during their high school years and get accepted immediately.

The second mod grants the same privilege to  Genius  teen sims and  grade A  students.

Your sims won’t need that specific trait to access these institutions.

Finishing primary school with a grade A or reaching that grade during high school will allow your sims to apply.

7. University Scholarship Programs by Zero’s Sims 4 Mods

This sims 4 university mod is a nice compliment to the previous one.

If you know The Big Bang Theory , you know that Sheldon Cooper achieved greatness at a young age.

The mod set up three scholarship programs named after the popular sitcom character.

It’ll allow geniuses or grade-A students to be awarded scholarships covering the tuition fees for these young sims.

A third scholarship is awarded to teen sims attending a special evening class.

8. Higher Capacity Roommates Mod by SimmyTime

In the  Discover University  EP, sims get to choose their living situation.

The maximum number of roommates by default is 10, among several other university housing restrictions.

The mod doubles that number to 20 based on the number of beds available.

There are four sims 4 university mods, and you only get to install one:

• Higher roommate capacity (HRC)
• HRC while preventing sims from decorating their rooms without consent
• HRC and prevents sims from tagging along as you go to community lots
• An all-in-one solution containing the previous perks

9. Choose Your Roommate by LittleMsSam

Increasing the number of roommates is all fun and games.

Although, deciding who gets to live with your sims would be even better.

The solution is this handy mod that’ll let you hand-pick your favorite sims.

Now, your sims can share a room with their bestie, a friend, or that sim that lives around the block.

The only restriction is that you can’t pick any of your other households’ sims.

10. Sims 4 School Newspaper Activity by Ilkavelle

This mod allows your sims to add an extracurricular activity to their schedules.

This mod works for child sims, teens, and university students.

Your university students can pick between being a school photographer or a journalist.

There are different levels to these activities; each level has its own goals to achieve in order to level up to the next.

When your sims reach the top level, they can start an internship and earn a few simoleons.

The sims 4 university mod is base game friendly, so you don’t need the expansion pack to use it.

11. University Traits Pack by PimpMySims4

These sims 4 university mods will get you additional traits to assign to your sims.

There are a total of five university-related traits to pick from:

• Coffee Addict
• Sorority Girl
• Cognitive Impaired

Each one of these traits comes with its own perks, like the  Studious  trait will learn some skills faster than normal.

Note that the  Sorority Girl  or  Frat Boy  traits are not gender-restricted, so either gender can have them.

12. Sims 4 Custom Degrees by Zero’s Sims 4 Mods

When the time comes for your sims to pick their degree, they have to choose between 13 of them.

With the help of this sims 4 university mod, your sims can get an extra 15 custom degrees to consider.

Among these degrees, your sims can now choose to major in:

• Archaeology
• Social Justice
• Criminology
• And many more

Make sure to read the mods’ description because there are several university mod files to install.

You can use either EA’s standard settings or the creator’s for the Majors and Course Data aspects.

As an added challenge, the creator also offers an optional mod.

The  Required Degree for Promotion  mod is self-explanatory and adds realism to your sims’ career.

13. University Electives Mod for Sims 4 by Andirz

This university mod adds up to 33 new elective classes that your sims can enroll in at any of the two universities.

The new content depends on which expansion packs or stuff packs are installed on your device.

Having the  Sims 4: Snowy Escape  EP installed will unlock an optional class that will develop your sims’  Skiing  skill.

This electives mod is also compatible with popular mods like the  Custom Degrees  mod.

Taking these custom elective courses counts as credit and helps your sims earn their degree.

It’s an excellent way for your sims’ to add new skills to their portfolio.

14. University Homework Mod by Simularity

In the Sims 4 game, based on your sims’ persona, they usually leave stuff lying around like food, dishes, and books.

This tuning mod tweaks the game so your sim students automatically put their books away.

So each time they finish working, they’ll put their homework back in inventory.

This way, there’s no risk of them losing their homework or having messy books lying everywhere.

15. University Level Jump Mod by KiaraSims4Mods

Usually, when pursuing a career, your sims start at the bottom of the corporate ladder.

These starter jobs get your sims a minimum wage and take some time and effort to move up that ladder.

With this sims 4 university mod, your sims with degrees can skip ahead and obtain higher-ranking careers.

16. Sims 4 University Rejection Letter by Ilkavelle

In the  Discover University  EP, when sims apply to a university, they always get accepted regardless of their grades.

Although they might not get the distinguished degree acceptance they wanted, they still get in regardless.

For a touch of realism, this university mod will allow sims to be rejected by an institution.

Based on your sims’ traits or grades, they significantly influence whether your sims get accepted or not.

Your sims have better chances of being accepted if they have traits like  Genius  or  Overachiever .

On the other hand, sims with a trait like  Lazy  will have a better chance of rejection.

But don’t worry; rejected sims can still reapply after a certain amount of time.

17. University Costs More by Zero’s Sims 4 Mods

These sims 4 university mods tweak the prices for main and elective courses.

They both come in separate files, so you can install one or the two files if you want.

Note: In any case, make sure to grab the Fix file as well.

Before, every class would cost  240  simoleons.

The prices have now been hiked and are now in the four digits for more realistic pricing.

The fee for each class will vary; for example, cooking classes will cost more than artistic courses.

18. Roommate Chores for Sims 4 by LittleMsSam

Are your sims tired of having messy roommates?

With the help of this mod, you can make a cleaning schedule and post it on a board.

You can assign which sims do cleaning and which day and time they do it.

This sims 4 university mod can also be used on children through  The Sims 4: Parenthood  game pack.

If the pack is installed, you can post the schedule on the  Parenthood Bulletin Board  through an added function.

Otherwise, you can post it on the university’s board.

19. No Homework Mod for Sims 4 by Nova JY

No one likes to study all day and then come home to a pile of homework.

The  No Homework To Do  mod will automatically check off that task from your sims To-Do list.

There are two versions of sims 4 university mods.

You decide if you want the mod to apply exclusively to university or be included in the base game.

That second option will allow kids that attend school to benefit from a homework-free life.

20. Extended University Study Time by Somik & Severinka

Does your sims’ daytime work schedule affect their studies?

The game is set to have your sims go to university on weekdays starting at  8:00 AM .

This mod shifts the scheduled class start time to  6:30 PM  on weekdays and  1:00 PM  on weekends.

As a result, your sims can benefit from a more flexible schedule to accommodate a job too.

21. Sims 4 Shorter University by Peridot Sims

Check out these sims 4 university mods if you want your sims to graduate quickly or earn multiple degrees.

Pick and install  one  of four files to decide how many credits are required to graduate.

Usually, it takes  12  credits to earn a degree, but with this mod, you get to choose between  4, 6, 8, or 10 credits .

It’s a great way to save time if you’re not planning on spending too much time at university.

22. Required Degree for Promotions by Zero’s Sims 4 Mods

When pursuing a career, people move up in the business world by getting promoted by putting in the hard work.

Eventually, they may reach an impasse because they need a degree in higher education.

With this sims 4 university mod, sims that progress through their career path will eventually get roadblocked.

Sims must now complete an extra task and get the appropriate degree to get promoted.

This mod adds more challenge to the game and a dose of realism for our sims.

23. Early Re-Application to University by Ilkavelle

This university mod is for sims that didn’t get the degree they wanted or got rejected using the mod listed in #16.

The standard waiting time is  7 days  before your sims can reapply.

This mod removes the waiting time so they can reapply when they get their rejection letter.

If you rely on chance instead of skills or grades, try your luck again and save some time with this helpful mod.

24. Faster Run To Class in Sims 4 by LittleMsSam

Do your sims take forever to get to a class and sometimes arrive late?

With the help of this mod, it gives your sims a little boost to get their caboose into class faster.

You’ll see on the download page that this mod is bundled with many other mods.

There are a few sims 4 university mods, but look for the file named:

25. SimU Online Degrees by Midnitetech

If your sims want a university degree without setting foot inside the building, they can acquire it online.

Your sims will do their online registration and have access to various perks, such as:

• Custom buffs
• Career boosts
• Access to study groups
• Unlimited online study time
• Access to a student chatroom

The chatroom is also available to students registered with UBrite or Foxbury University .

The study groups help boost your sims’ degree progress and social skills while making friends in the process.

University Mods: Final Thoughts

21+ Sims 4 University Mods For Better And More Challenging Gameplay

Kick off your sim’s new school year with some incredible Sims 4 university mods!

Whether you’re excited for a new school year to start or not (or indifferent because you’re not in school anymore! lol), you can still get the most out of your Sims 4 Discover University gameplay with the mods I’ve rounded up today.

I was so excited when we got college in Sims 4—I was waiting for that pack for sooo long.

And I’ll be honest—I was a little disappointed with how cheap it was! 😬

Maybe it’s because I’m an American (😭) but it felt wrong for the classes to be so cheap!

The semesters also lasted forever and started to feel like such a grind.

But sims 4 modders came to the rescue with amazing mods that make university shorter (or longer, if you’re into that) and more expensive, and SO much more!

Grab a paper and pen and get ready to take some notes, class, because I’ve got some awesome sims 4 university mods you won’t want to miss!

Custom Aspirations Sims 4 University Mod

Custom aspirations are one of my favorite ways to immerse myself in a sim and their gameplay!

The various milestones keep me focused and give my sims so much personality, since they’re focused on one singular goal.

PimpMySims created 7 custom aspirations all surrounded university life!

The 7 aspirations included are:

• Sporty Scholar
• Campus Crook
• Part Time Parent
• Part Time Student
• Balanced Life
• Campus Crush
• Party School

Each custom aspiration has a bonus trait your sims is awarded upon completion.

I love the attention to detail in this custom aspiration mod—each aspiration level (freshman, sophomore, etc.) has a different theme and each level provides so much opportunity for fun gameplay and storytelling.

These custom aspirations are a great way not to get bogged down by the grind of class -> study -> final -> repeat and get out there and ENJOY university!

Various Gameplay Tweaks/Fixes Sims 4 University Mods (Higher Scholarship Amounts, Less Weird Food From Roommates, etc.)

This is a list of small mods and tweaks by Zero made for Sims 4 Discover University.

My favorites on this list are:

• Ask Roommate To Stop
• Roommates Tweak (no more bizarre lobster dishes on the dining table! Pizza all the way. And more appropriate settings for parties, trash creation, etc.)
• High Scholarships (personally, I use the More Expensive University mod, so to balance it out I also use this one too!

I suggest taking a look at the list and seeing which of these mods sound right for your play style!

Faster Term Papers and Presentations Sims 4 University Mod

If you’re sick of the grind that university brings, and want to experience more of the fun , this mod is for you!

This mod speeds up your sim’s progress on term papers and final presentations!

You still gotta put in the work, but now it won’t take quite so excruciatingly long.

Teen Enrollment Sims 4 University Mod

Talented teens can now take Britchester by storm!

This mod makes it possible for the high school to offer your teen sims a chance to skip directly to college.

The likelihood is much higher for genius sims, but any teen sim can get this chance card popup.

Note: this mod works best when paired with a mod that allows teens to manually quit high school (Zero has 2 options linked at the bottom of the download post).

Shorter Degree Requirements Sims 4 University Mod

This a must have mod for me, y’all!

With this mod, you can choose to make your degree requirements shorter.

Normally, a sim needs 12 classes to get a degree. With this mod, you can choose between: 4, 6, 8, or 10!

Personally, I go for 8 classes and have my sim take 2-3 classes a term! That means they finish in less terms, and they have more time outside of classes to actually enjoy their college experience.

Longer Degree Requirements (2, 3, 4 Weeks) Sims 4 University Mod

On the flip side, if you like playing on long lifespans, you can also make your terms last longer with the same amount of classes!

You can choose from 2, 3, or 4 weeks.

With a longer term, your sim has WAY more time to study and get their grade up and time to work on their finals. That means you can fit way more into your time on campus, too!

Change Into Everyday Wear For Class Sims 4 University Mod Tweak

Another essential must have mod for me!

It’s a small one: it simply makes your sim change into everyday wear before heading out to class!

Seeing my sim hop out of bed and run across campus in their PJs was funny (and pseudo realistic) the first few times, but it started to get a bit ridiculous, in my opinion.

Adeepindigo’s University Application Overhaul (Personal Favorite Sims 4 University Mod!)

This is one of my FAVORITE sims 4 university mods!

Adeepindigo is an incredible modder and always adding such in-depth and realistic systems to this game.

The University Application Overhaul is so immersive and perfect for storytelling.

Instead of simply applying and waiting for your inevitable acceptance, your sim now must fill out and submit their application (which costs money, too!), they can request transcripts, letters of recommendation, write an application essay, and can even make a campus visit to their school of choice.

Choose Your Uni Roommate Sims 4 University Mod

This mod let’s you choose a roommate when your sims goes off to University!

This is perfect for getting other sims in your world enrolled in uni at the same time as the sim you’re playing, without having to make them controllable.

LittleMissSam’s Better Autonomous Homework Sims 4 University Mod

The Better Autonomous Homework mod applies for all homework in-game, but is particularly useful for university!

Sims with better grades will now complete homework faster, and are more likely to do it on their own accord.

Ravasheen’s Bachelor Of Sports Sims 4 University Mod

Ravasheen is back at it again with some incredible functional cc! This time with some sims 4 university mods!

The Bachelor Of Sports items allow your sims to attend soccer and e-sports matches from anywhere in the game. You no longer have to route to the stadiums at Britechester and Foxbury!

Pair this with the next mod on my list (also by RVSN) and you can create a functional university in any world!

Ravasheen’s Long Distance Learning Sims 4 University Mod (Go To Class On Any Lot!)

The Long Distance Learning sims 4 university mod by Ravasheen is so freaking cool.

I might not seem like a big deal, but it makes it to where ANY lot in ANY world can become a fully-functioning university!

You will never have to travel to Britechester again if you don’t want to!

This is PERFECT for simmers who are super into immersion (or historical players who have a very specific world set-up for their gameplay).

All you do is smack that diploma on the wall and now your sim can do everything they would normally have to do on campus buildings in Britechester!

University Costs More Sims 4 University Mod (Must Have Mod, For Me!)

THIS is one of my absolute favorite sims 4 university mods.

Probably because I’m an American. And also a masochist.

$250 a class was just not cutting it for me—especially for my wealthy sims!

This mod increases the cost of your sim’s university tuition. 😇

If only we had the motherlode cheat IRL, right?!

Custom Degrees Sims 4 University Mod

This sims 4 university mod includes TONS of brand new custom degrees your sims can choose from!

Your sim can now choose to study from subjects like Archaeology, Folklore & Mythology, Music Arts, Philosophy, Chemistry, Health and Fitness Science, Veterinary Medicine, Medical Science, and SOOO much more.

Each new major even comes with custom textbooks for your sims to buy.

This mod pairs beautifully with the custom electives mod linked below!

Custom Elective Classes Sims 4 University Mod

This mod is actually AMAZING, you guys.

Not only are there custom electives for nearly all the in-game skills (skiing elective, anyone?!) this mod is also integrated with other mods!

For example, if you use the Language Barriers mod (linked in my Best Realistic Mods round-up), your sim can now take language classes as an elective.

There is also integration with the Rambunctious Religions mod, as well as some 18+ integrations with Wicked Whims and Basemental. 👀

No Student Housing Lot Restrictions Sims 4 University Mod

This is a small mod that makes it to where there are no more lot restrictions on University Housing lot types.

All the stoves, everywhere!

Maybe install a fire sprinkler too, though. 🙂

Degree Required For Advanced Career Promotion Sims 4 University Mod

I freakin’ love this mod.

Again, I love to make my sims lives harder!!!

Instead of your sim climbing the ranks of their career simply by being high-skilled, they now will run into a road bump and have to get a degree to reach the top of most fields.

I love the realism of this, you guys.

Rejection Letter Sims 4 University Mod

Yet another masochistic sims 4 university mod 😌

This mod allows your sim to actually get REJECTED from college!

Default in-game, they always get accepted to some programs at each school, depending on skills. But with this mod, if their skills are TOO low, they can get rejected entirely and have to reapply down the line.

Graduation Party Custom Event Sims 4 University Mod

This custom event by KiaraSims lets your sim throw a graduation party!

There are all kinds of new goals, a new reward for a gold event, and some event-specific socials, too.

College Reunion Custom Event Sims 4 University Mod

Similar to the Graduation Party event, this is an event for College Reunions!

This is such a fun one for storytelling purposes. I love all the custom socials and event goals.

New Student Welcome Day Custom Event Sims 4 University Mod

One more custom event! This one is like a new student orientation.

Your sim will need to do things like introduce themselves to other college students, have a drink, dance, and take selfies.

Sheldon Cooper Scholarship Program For Teens Sims 4 University Mod

The Sheldon Cooper Scholarship Program mod is perfect for teen sims looking to get a leg up on the college grind!

Your sim can now take night classes that put them ahead and can potentially get them a BIG scholarship grant ($10k+!).

This program also readies your sim for entrance into a Prestige Degree program.

This one is for all those overachiever sims out there!

Functional Internships Sims 4 Mod

MaplebellSims is quickly becoming one of my favorite modders (they made the More Kisses mod, linked in my romance mods round-up!) and the Internships Mod is no exception!

While technically this isn’t a sims 4 university mod (your sim doesn’t have to go to college at all to get an internship), it felt relevant enough that I wanted to include it!

Basically, your sim can now reach out to an internship agency and they will get placed with a few different internship opportunities depending on their skills.

There are paid and unpaid opportunities, and even travel internships (where your sim with disappear off lot for the time alotted).

I think this is SUCH a cool, creative and in-depth mod, and if you enjoy the university gameplay and earning your sim’s spot in their career, I think you’ll love this one too.

This incredibly entertaining mod is similar to a feature of the High School Years expansion pack! If your teen gets an A in high school, he or she may be able to graduate early and go straight to university! 

The chances aren't great, but genius sims have a good chance. Your teen will see a pop-up window with this opportunity. 

You don't have to do this if you haven't finished watching your child grow up! You can simply decide to keep your teen in high school, and his or her life will go on as usual.

19. Genius Teens Can & Enroll to University Anytime

If your teen Sim has the Genius trait, they can now apply and enrol in university at any time! This includes the time right after they start high school. 

While there are cheats available, this mod allows your Genius teen to go through the nerve-racking process of applying and waiting for an acceptance letter before enrolling.

18. University Costs More

If you want to make university more difficult, this mod is for you! Some players felt that the original price of classes (240) made the game too cheap, and certainly not realistic. 

This mod drastically alters the prices of classes, totaling 30720. Elective costs differ. Vampire Lore, for example, is the most expensive class (5200), followed by Gourmet Cooking (4000), and Piano, Violin, and other artistic classes, Handiness, and Flower Arranging are the least expensive (1500). 

You then repay the loan in the same manner as you would in real life, gradually but steadily! The page linked below contains information on how to change the prices yourself.

17. University Rejection Letters

This is an extensive mod that brings the concept of a University rejection letter into fruition! Without this mod, almost every sim will get accepted to university, no matter what.

Now school grades and certain traits and skills will impact upon whether your sim will get that exciting acceptance letter, or the feared rejection letter. Traits such as goofball, lazy, clumsy, childish, and hot-headed will increase your sims’ chances of getting rejected.

To increase your chances of being accepted, make sure their Charisma, Logic, and Writing skills are at least level 5. Don’t worry if you get rejected, though - you can always apply again after some time.

16. No University Housing Restrictions

This is one of the most helpful mods on the list! All restrictions on stoves and outdoor cooking have been lifted, allowing your Sims to cook for themselves rather than rely on the cafeteria. There will be no more starving university students!

15. The Sheldon L. Cooper Program

The Sheldon L. Cooper Program is for young geniuses who want to progress from high school to university! Students will be eligible for three scholarships: one for Young Geniuses, one for Young Promises, and one for a special scholarship programme. 

Following your application, you will be required to attend a preparatory course. To meet the requirements, you must attend night school, which will be difficult. Along with your regular homework, you'll have special homework and tasks to complete, and once this course is completed, your application will be sent off.

14. Required Degree for Promotions

With this mod, you'll be able to start in any career. However, the requirements panel will eventually inform you that you must have a specific degree in order to advance. Some careers will necessitate a specific degree from a specific university with honors, so keep that in mind! 

This adds a little difficulty to the otherwise simple promotion requirements, and it definitely adds realism to the game.

13. Choose Your Roomate

Your sims' best friends can now be their roommates and attend university with this mod! It can also assist you in finding specific Roommates for your Residential Lots. 

To be able to choose University Roommates, you must first "prepare" them by enrolling them in a university. This can be accomplished by enrolling specific Sims from Households or by moving all Sims you want to be Roommates into a random Lot. 

Then, on the Mailbox, you’ll find two new Interactions: “Remove a Roommate” and “Choose a Roommate”. You can also remove a current Roommate you don’t like (the game will automatically replace them eventually).

To add your prepared sim as your Roommate, click “Choose a Roommate” and search in the List for the Sim. The List will show all game generated Uni Students as well as your Sims when you are living in University Housing.

Your chosen Roommates will automatically claim a free Bed when they arrive shortly after, and you’ll be able to have fun with your best friends!

12. New bicycles

This mod adds several new bicycles to Discover University. There are new colours, shapes, and sizes to enjoy with your sim! Despite being a minor change, it allows you to personalise your university experience.

11.  University Aspiration Packs

University students have a diverse set of interests, and so should our sims! This set of seven aspirations makes use of some of the new features included with the pack while also focusing on other aspects of your sim's life. 

Sporty Scholar, Campus Crook, Part-time Parent, Part-time Student, Balanced Life, Campus Crush, and Party School are the seven aspirations included.

10. Choose Your Helmet

This small mod allows you to select a helmet for each Sim, wear no helmet, or use the default random helmet for each Sim. 

Simply click on a Bike, select "Choose Your Helmet," and then select one of the options in the item picker. 

All of the vanilla game's helmets are available, as well as the option to wear no helmet at all! Unless they have been played and a Helmet has been selected for them, NPCs will continue to use the default random Helmet Option.

9.  University Application Overhaul

This mod completely redesigns the university application process! A letter of recommendation from a teacher and the guidance counsellor, high school transcripts, essay submission, and, finally, an admissions interview are all new application requirements. 

The "Apply to Universities" interaction is only available once all application requirements have been met. Your sim will be reminded to attend their interview for the interview. They have the option to reschedule if they miss it or are unable to attend. 

This is a great way to add realism to your game and spice up the otherwise dull application process!

You can add Cleaning Schedules to the Parenthood Bulletin Board using this Mod. You can schedule Sims to be on Cleaning Duty, and while they are on Duty, they will receive a visible Buff that gives them a small push to do cleaning Interactions if necessary. 

It will not disable all other autonomy, but it will motivate them to complete the necessary tasks! The Buff will be applied via the Board, so if you have a multi-story house, make sure to place one Board on each floor. 

If a Schedule is created, a new Interaction called "Remove Cleaning Schedule" will become available, allowing you to remove Schedules from specific Sims.

7. Shorter University Degrees

This mod reduces the number of credits required for university degrees! This is ideal for people who have shorter lifespans or simply want to finish university sooner. 

There are four shorter flavours: four credits, six credits, eight credits, and ten credits (the default in-game credit requirement is 12 credits). You can easily cut your degree length in half or two-thirds depending on which flavour you use! This means you'll be able to start your chosen career sooner and earn more money.

6. Homework Tweaks

This mod allows university students to complete their homework in either 10, 25, or 50 minutes depending on which one you choose to download.This is far faster than the default, which is about 150 minutes.

Additionally, they’ll be able to complete their homework even while Tense or Uncomfortable which is a huge benefit! Sims with Research & Debate skill at 3+ will complete faster than above times, too.

5. Quickly Check Uni Performance

This is a simple script mod that allows you to quickly check how your sims are performing in each of their university courses.

All you have to do is Press CTRL + SHIFT + C in Live mode to open the cheat console, type ‘grades’, and then press ENTER. Simple!

Sims can now study and attend class in the evenings and on weekends thanks to this mod! This talented moderator changed the class time on weekdays to 18:30 and on weekends to 13:00. 

This means that they will be able to combine their studies with a career and earn money at the same time!

In sims 4 university it’s a given that your Sims will get accepted into university. But with this mod, that’s no longer a guarantee.

Now, there’s a real possibility of my Sims getting a rejection letter, adding a layer of suspense and realism to the application process that was lacking before.

Receiving a rejection letter can be disappointing, of course, but it also opens up new narrative possibilities. My Sims can reassess their options, work on improving their skills, and apply again

As a dedicated Sims player, the Faster Term Paper & Presentation (University) Mod by ilkavelle has been an absolute godsend for my Sims 4 University gameplay.

Originally, the process of writing term papers and preparing presentations in the sims 4 is quite time-consuming. However, with this mod, my Sims can complete these tasks at a much faster rate.

It significantly reduces the time taken for these tasks, leaving my Sims with more free time to engage in other activities, socialize, or simply catch up on much-needed sleep.

19. Sims 4 Teens Jump To University By Zero’s Sims 4 Mods

The Teens Jump To University Mod by Zero’s Sims 4 Mods brings an exciting twist to my Sims 4 University gameplay, allowing high-achieving teen Sims to get a headstart on their university education.

While there are already mods out there that let you enroll teens in university, this one operates a little differently. Instead of the teens making the decision themselves, the school offers the opportunity to high school A-students to enroll in university, right in the middle of their school hours.

The chance of this happening isn’t very high (about a 5% likelihood), but if you have a Genius teen, their odds of being given this opportunity significantly increase.

The University – Required Degree… but for Promotions! Mod by Zero’s Sims 4 Mods has been an incredibly insightful addition to my Sims 4 University gameplay.

If you’re seeking a greater sense of realism and challenge in your Sims’ career progression, this mod might just be what you’re looking for.

In the unmodded game, achieving a degree from the university doesn’t necessarily correlate with your Sims’ career advancements. But with this mod, things take a more realistic turn.

A degree becomes a prerequisite for promotions in certain job paths, closely mimicking the real-world job scenario.

21. Sims 4 Choose Your Helmet By LittleMsSam’s

The Choose Your Helmet Mod by LittleMsSam’s has been a delightful little addition to my Sims 4 University gameplay. If your Sims are often on bikes and you crave more customization options, you’re going to love this one.

In the sims 4 university pack, when your Sims decide to take a bike ride, they’re automatically assigned a helmet. But with this mod, that’s no longer the case. Now, I can choose the helmet my Sims wear when they’re off for a ride, which adds a lovely personal touch.

22. Sims 4 Faster Tutor Class in Discover University By Master_Templar

The Faster Tutor Class in Discover University Mod by Master_Templar has been a game-changer in my Sims 4 University gameplay.

If you’ve ever found yourself wishing that the tutor class in the game didn’t consume so much of your Sims’ time, this mod is for you.

does anybody know what happened to the scarletmod "faster homework mod" for discover university? I tried downloading it but the site is very sketchy

15+ Discover University Mods To Have More Fun in The Sims 4

One of the most sought after packs for The Sims games is always a University themed pack and players were so excited when Discover University was released.

This pack brings so many awesome things like student loans, university housing and distinguished degrees into the game but there is always room for improvement, right?

Well, downloading some really great discover university mods for The Sims 4 is the absolute best way for you to make your experience so much more fun or more challenging depending on what you’re looking for.

Discover University Mods

1. higher scholarships.

The best way for your sims to pay for university without having to struggle is to get themselves scholarships but the scholarships in the vanilla game are so low .

Thankfully, a modder named Zero has created a higher scholarships mod that will let your sims get so much more money for their scholarships and won’t have to struggle to pay for food any longer!

For example the education for all scholarship will usually give your sim 500 simoleons but with this mod it will add a single 0 to the end of the value making this worth 5000 instead.

This is great if you play with things like the university costs more mod so it can balance out nicely and your sims will get more money in since more money goes out.

2. Teens Jump to University

University ends up taking up so much of your sim’s time when they are a young adult and it would be really nice if we were able to have them go to university when they are teenagers.

Using the teens jump to university mod will allow your sims to quit high school and go straight to university if they have good grades .

It’s awesome because it appears as a pop-up like you’d get in some careers and is triggered by good grades.

You don’t have to take this opportunity and you are able to just go ahead and continue high school if you aren’t ready for growing up yet.

3. Genius Teens Can Apply & Enroll To University Anytime

Your sim’s traits effect so many parts of their lives and if you have the genius teens can apply to university mod you’ll have them matter even more.

Any teenage sim who has the genius trait is going to have a leg up on life and be able to leave school and go straight to university if they choose which can give them a jump start.

This also applies to sims who finished elementary school with an A grade before aging up to a teen or any teen who gets an A in school, those smart kids deserve to move on in life!

4. University Costs More

Many of us sims players are just desperately looking for ways to make The Sims 4 more difficult and have our sims struggle financially.

Thankfully, with the University Costs More mod your sims are now going to truly struggle to pay for school and pay back their student loans .

The vanilla version of Discover University has all classes costing 240 simoleons but with this you’ll have to spend way more. Your first class will be 1240 but by the time you take your 10th class you’ll be paying over 3000 per class.

5. Rejection Letter Possible

Why does every sim in Discover University get an acceptance letter? A lot of these sims don’t deserve to get into university and it would make it more challenging if sims weren’t getting in with no effort.

With this rejection letter possible mod your sims are able to be told no depending on a number of factors in the game.

The first factor is your sim’s traits where sims who have traits like lazy, clumsy or goofball are less likely to get in but sims who are a genius, perfectionist or bookworm will get in easier.

The skills your sims have also matter but only for the charisma skill , the logic skill , and the writing skill . It really depends on how many levels of these skills your sims have.

Of course, your sim’s grades in high school will also impact their ability to get into University which makes sense, but you’re much more likely overall to get rejected.

6. Ask to be Roommates

The addition of roommates with Discover University was very exciting, however, you can’t ask any sims who are currently living in a home to be your roommate which is an annoying thing to make a rule.

With the ask to be roommates mod you’ll be able to ask any sim to be your roommate and they will most likely say yes, unless you’re enemies!

7. No University Housing Restrictions

When you’re living in the in-game university housing you aren’t able to have a stove which makes cooking really difficult and forces you to have to go eat at the university food building which takes a lot of time.

With the no university housing restrictions mod your sims are going to be able to have a kitchen in their dorms which is amazing so you can cook simple meals and save your sims so much time.

Of course this also gives your sims the option to set their dorms on fire so that’s fun too!

8. Harder Distinguished Degree Acceptance

In Discover University there are two types of degrees with the regular ones and distinguished degrees. It was supposed to work like the distinguished degrees were much harder to get in but it really wasn’t that hard!

The harder distinguished degree acceptance mod is going to make it way harder by making it so any skills that are below level 7 will not count as much in your university acceptance so you’ll actually have to be really great at something to get into these degrees.

9. Required Degree for Careers

Something that’s always been silly to many players of The Sims is that your sim can just jump into the doctor career without a degree and become a full out doctor and start treating patients.

Even with Discover University in your game there are no required degrees for these more complicated careers which just doesn’t make sense to me.

With the required degree for careers mod you’ll be able to force your sims to go to college before they are allowed to start a career.

Some examples are that your sims are going t need to have a physics, biology or psychology degree to join the doctor career or they’ll need to have a computer science of villainy degree to become a secret agent .

Having these required degrees is awesome because it adds a sense of realism to make it harder for your sims to get those higher paying careers and they’ll have to pay money to earn their degree for more challenges!

10. The Sheldon L Cooper Program

Named after Sheldon Cooper from the popular sitcom Big Bang Theory, The Sheldon L Cooper Project brings in brand new scholarships for your teenage sims to earn.

There are three new scholarships in this mod including one for young geniuses, one for young promises and a general one for the program. They range from 5,000 to 15,000 simoleons which is a huge chunk of your university tuition.

These are not easy scholarships for your sims to get however, they are going to have to go to a preparatory course after school.

This will happen from 5 to 7 pm and will require your sims to do extra homework to be able to earn this degree scholarship.

Your sims are definitely going to have to work hard to be able to earn this but it would totally be worth it.

11. Required Degree for Promotions

Are you ever wondering why your sims are able to get any job without a degree? Have you ever been confused when your sim is a high level executive in the business career but has never learned a thing?

Well, with the required degree for promotions mod your sims are going to be able to join any career they want but at a certain point they are going to need to get a career.

At this point your sim has the option for them to just keep working at their current level or to go to university and obtain a degree.

An example of this is if you reach the line cook level of the culinary career your sims are not going to be able to get promoted unless they receive a culinary degree.

The creator even went a level further and made it so that certain jobs (like the astronaut career ) requires your sims to get a specific degree from a certain school.

To pass the technician level of the astronaut career you’ll need to get a physics degree from Foxbury Institute and graduate with honours which is a hard thing to do.

12. Choose Your Roommate

Have you ever been living in university housing and just hated one of your roommates or wanted one of your sim’s besties to join you in living there?

With the choose your roommate mod you’ll be able to completely control who lives with you based on what sims are currently enrolled in University in the world.

There are options to get rid of a roommate that you dislike or choose a roommate who you love to come move in with you!

13. New Bicycles

When Discover University was released we all got very excited by the addition of bikes but we didn’t get enough good options for bike designs.

This new bicycles mod is great because it adds some new shapes of bikes for your sims to own that come in different adorable colours.

14. No Roommates Summoning Trash

Why are roommates in this game so darn dirty? They are consistently getting trash from nowhere and just generally being disgusting humans.

With the no roommates summoning trash mod will stop these roommates from filling your entire dorm or home with garbage that only your sim will deal with.

15. University Aspiration Pack

Playing the game with aspirations can be really fun but for whatever reason we haven’t been getting enough aspirations added with new packs.

There are a number of aspirations in this university aspiration pack that will let your sims be a specific type of student.

One of the aspirations is a sporty scholar aspiration where your sims are going to try and be a soccer star while also getting their degree.

Another one is a part time parent where your sim will be trying to both raise their children and get their degree at the same time which is an adorable aspiration.

These can have a big impact on how you play when in university and give you some fun ideas for gameplay.

16. Less or NO Roommates Music

Why are roommates in the game always playing music? They’re just so noisy.

You definitely can’t have a stereo in your home if you have roommates because they’ll constantly be playing annoying radio stations for you to enjoy .

With the less or NO roommate music mod is going to get rid of the autonomous ability for roommates to play instruments like guitar or the ability to listen to the stereo.

This is an essential mod if you want roommates but still want to enjoy some darn quiet.

17. Choose Your Helmet

When your sims start to ride a bike in the game they are going to have a random helmet assigned to them and a lot of the time these are just not matching your sim’s personality.

With the choose your helmet mod you’ll be able to click on a bike and choose whatever colour of helmet you want your sim to wear.

Want to live on the wild side? You can even go ahead and choose to not wear a helmet!

Final Thoughts

Discover University is one of those packs that I actually think EA did a really great job on. It’s a difficult experience and feels pretty realistic but it can definitely be made better with all of these mods added to your game. Happy Playing!
