The Sims 4 Discover University: Research & Debate Skill OverviewPresented by EA Game Changers The Research & Debate skill is a new 10-level skill that comes with The Sims 4: Discover University . Sims will learn the power of persuasion and the importance of doing their research with this skill, which will come in handy for coursework, debates, and convincing other Sims to do various tasks. Leveling up in this skill will help your Sims win debates, so Sims involved in UBrite’s Debate Guild organization will want to focus on building this skill. Any academically-inclined Sims will benefit from this skill, as it will allow them to finish homework and write term papers faster. Mischievous Sims may have an interest in building this skill in order to convince other Sims to do all kinds of tasks for them, from cleaning and cooking to doing their homework for them. The Research & Debate Skill is built by researching topics on the research machine and practicing debates either at a debate podium or in the mirror. Welcome to our Sims 4 guide for homework!Have you ever wondered if there’s any different way to approach your sims homework on the Sims 4? Then this guide is going to be perfect for you! Today we are going to talk about how you can help your sims finish their homework faster, giving them more time to do other things. Because time is valuable and your sims don’t have to waste it all by doing homework. We first saw homework on The Sims 2, and ever since our sims have to complete it on school days. It helps with your sim’s grades and is a must if you want to pick their next trait. It takes about an hour to complete, though there are ways to speed up the process. On The Sims 4 Discover University, adult sims that are in university are also given homework. Little life-hacks for your sim’s homework on the Sims 4Have an adult sim help them. Sims can finish their homework much faster if a grown-up helps them. To do so, have them sit somewhere and start doing their homework. Then, take control of any other adult sim in the household. Click on the sim that is doing their homework and choose the option “Help with homework”. However, keep in mind that this increases the chances that one of them gets distracted! Try and fill all of their needs first to keep that from happening. Raise your sim’s skills to receive a speed boostIf your child sim has all of their skills on level 3 and above, you’ll notice that there’s a new option for homework. It’s called “Breeze through homework”. This will cut the time that they need to complete it! You can take it a step further and raise all of their skills to level 7. This will unlock the option to “Dominate homework”. With “Dominate homework” your sims will be able to complete their homework even more quickly! But, this speed boost isn’t available for teens or older sims. Get your sims in a focused moodIf all else fails, you can always make your sims get in a focused mood. By doing so, they’ll be less distracted and will complete their homework faster! You can get your sims focused by: - Buying and placing focused aura items around them.
- Drinking pitch black tea.
- Upgrading objects by using the handiness skill.
- Bathing in citrus soaks. (Spa Day)
- Doing mind concetrating yoga. (outdoor retreat)
- Drinking a focused potion.
- Playing chess.
Common issues related to homework on the Sims 4I somehow lost my sim’s homework. It happens, sims just love losing their stuff. But don’t worry, you can just buy a new one from a bookcase for just §1! The same thing goes for your sims in university. You can also do your sim’s homework using someone else’s book! In The Sims 4, homework books aren’t unique for every sim. My sim just won’t sit down to do homeworkIf your sim just doesn’t want to do their homework there are two ways to solve it. One, you can try to fill their needs. Make sure that they’re not peckish or sleepy. No one wants to be uncomfortable when doing their homework. The other solution is to disable autonomy. To do that, go into your game’s gameplay settings. Then, pick “Disable Autonomy for Selected Sim”. Problem solved! We hope you found this guide useful! Homework can be a nightmare. Both in the real world and the sims world. If we forgot anything, let us know down in the comments! Your Author: Hi! How to do homework in The Sims 4 High School YearsYour teen Sim doesn’t have to do homework, but they should sometimes by Julia Lee In The Sims 4 ’s new expansion, High School Years , your teen Sims can head out to school the same way some Sims head to work. You can go with them to control what they do throughout the school day, affecting their relationships and academic growth. Notably, in the career tab for the teen Sim, you’ll see that they have a daily task to “do homework” after every school day (as you’d expect from school). Though homework for young Sims is not a new addition, it can be new for players who never had teenage Sims. The homework your teen Sim has to do will be in their personal inventory , as a little blue book. You can select it and click “do homework” and your teen Sim will move to a nearby table to do it. Based on our gameplay, not doing homework didn’t do anything too dramatic to the Sims’ school performances. As long as your teen Sim is attending class, they’ll progress in their career just fine. However, if you want them to improve their grades faster, they should actively be doing their homework. Most Popular- Deadpool & Wolverine bids farewell to the experimental superhero movie era

As your sim children and teens age up-they'll automatically receive homework in their inventories. Children receive yellow 'Grade School Homework' and teens receive blue 'Homework' books. The homework is individual to each sim, sims cannot do other sim's homework for them. If you lose the book around the neighbourhood, you can purchase another set of homework for your child through the 'buy books' menu on a bookcase or PC. To do homework simply click on it in your inventory and select 'Do Homework'. The activity will take longer if your sim is in a bad mood. You can speed up the interaction if you get an adult sim to 'Help with Homework' by interacting with the sim whilst it is working. After completing the homework, you can interact with it again to complete 'Extra Credit Homework' for additional gain. - Excited about the new Sims 4 High School Years pack? How To Improve Grades In The Sims 4Doing Homework is an easy way of ensuring your child improves their grades. School works in a very similar way to sim careers in the fact that homework acts as an extra activity you can do to boost performance. To boost performance, you can also ensure that your sim goes to school in a good mood with their needs all met and choosing the 'Work Hard' option on their icon picture whilst attending class. You can also raise a child's skills to increase performance. Skills include mental, motor, creativity and social. Children can sometimes come home with a school project if you have The Sims 4: Parenthood installed. If this is the case, you'll receive a notification that they have received a project from school. Projects range from making volcano displays to castles and other dioramas. These are a good way of boosting your sim child's grade as well as boosting skill gain. The project will perform even better if you get a parent to help the child with the project. Projects can also be bought from the build and buy mode if you wish to help your child's grade along faster. If the child's grade starts to fall, it will trigger an interaction where the principal will ring the child to discuss their failing grades. The child's grades will also suffer if they choose to skip school. This can be done by simply cancelling the interaction for them to go to school in the morning. They may also get a pop-up from a classmate asking them to skip school if you have The Sims 4: Parenthood installed. - Check out our recent Sims 4 Werewolves review to see if it's worth a purchase or not.

How do you take your final exam in The Sims 4?If you have an adult sim taking university courses, you can have them take the final exam by attending the last day of class. It should be noted, however, that it appears a bug exists that prevents players from having their sim take the final exam. The Sims 4: How To Do Homework (from Elementary to College)Not even a Sim can escape homework Who knew that homework could follow you into the digital world? With The Sims 4 , students aren’t exempt from it. Unless, of course, they want to watch their grades plummet. Whether you have an elementary-aged child, a teenager, or an adult hitting the books in college, they must learn how to do homework in The Sims 4 . Adults can only do so if you have the Discover University DLC, though, as college isn’t a feature in the base game. Now, let’s pull up a chair and get to studying. The Sims 4 Homework GuideHomework is a feature available for kids in elementary school, high school teens, and adults attending college. The only way to ensure a good grade in school in The Sims 4: homework must be done. It’s easy, though. For kids and teenagers, do the following: - Select the Sim in question and open their inventory
- Find the homework book ( orange for kids/blue for teens )
- Select the homework book and choose “Do Homework”
The Sim will find anywhere free to sit, and as long as they’re not interrupted by another Sim or their needs, they should complete it in a decent amount of time. Homework works the same for adults in college in The Sims 4 . The only difference is what you’ll see depends on how many classes you’re taking: - Select the Sim and open their inventory
- Find the black-and-white composition homework book
- Select the book and choose which class to do homework in (if taking multiple classes)
Homework TipsYou can get by well enough by simply doing homework every day before school. But we don’t want to just do homework in The Sims 4 . We want to thrive at it. You can do a few extra things to ensure your Sim gets the job done fast and efficiently. Get Help From ParentsWant to be a good parent in The Sims 4 ? Well, help the kids out with homework. Both children and teens can get homework help from their parents. As an adult Sim, walk over to younger Sim doing homework, select them, and choose “Help with Homework.” This will help them get through it faster. Raise Your SkillsRaising skills is a great way to finish homework faster in The Sims 4 . Get children to level 3 in all four skills to see the option to “Breeze through homework.” Get to level 7 to “Dominate homework” for an even faster experience. Adult Sims can benefit from this, too. Raise your research and debate skills so that they’ll finish their university homework faster. Keep Things FunThis homework tip won’t necessarily help you finish it faster in The Sims 4 , but it will help your Sim maintain their Fun need. Because, let’s face it, homework isn’t exactly a thrilling experience. If you don’t want that need to trickle into the red (and you have the Fitness pack), choose to equip your Sims’ earbuds from their inventory. Listening to music tends to keep their Fun up so that they’re not upset once they’re done. Cheats and ModsNow, if you really don’t want to bother with homework in The Sims 4 , you can always dabble in cheats and mods. Remember to enable cheats before you do anything. You can dive into the fun world of cheating on any system: - PC: Press ctrl + shift + c , type testingcheats true , and hit enter. Close the box by selecting ctrl + shift + c again.
- Console: Hold all four triggers down on the controller until the text box shows, then type testingcheats true and hit enter. Close the box by hitting all four triggers again.
- Mac: Press command + shift + c , type testingcheats true , and hit enter. You can close the box by pressing command + shift + c.
If we’re just focusing on homework, these cheats can help: - Makes your Sim Focused
- Makes your Sim Focused for 12 hours
Higher focus ensures that Sims can complete homework much quicker. For college Sims, you can cheat the Research and Debate skill with this: - stats.set_skill_level major_researchdebate 10
As for mods, there are too many to list. If you’re comfortable using them, you can check out places like curseforge to discover a variety of homework-related mods for The Sims 4 . Some can help Sims get their work done faster, while others ensure they actually sit at a desk. It’s up to you if you want to explore any mods. And that’s just about everything you should know about homework in The Sims 4 . Some people enjoy the brain challenge, while others view it as yet another chore. But the faster you get it done, the quicker you can return to more delightful activities, more so for the adult Sims out there. The Sims 4 is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox. Since childhood, Mykel has had a passion for writing, drawing, comic books, video games, and all things horror. How to do your homework in The Sims 4Graduate with good grades by staying on top of your teen Sim's schoolwork. Whether your younger Sims are child prodigies or avid ditchers, chances are, you've dealt with quite a few popups encouraging them to do their homework . It's easy to forget about their homework, lose it, or even sell it by accident. Plus it's just time consuming to complete (and uneventful to watch), making it all around difficult to keep Sims' grades up if they have virtually any other responsibilities or hobbies. Despite being a pain for a lot of busy Sims, homework is crucial to getting your kids good grades and boosting their skills. Or, if your older Sims are in university through the Discover University pack, it's absolutely necessary to avoid getting that terrifying academic probation warning at the end of a term. Here's everything you'll need to know about doing your homework in The Sims 4, including how to do it at all ages, how to get new homework if you've misplaced it, and how to speed up the process. To get a child or teen Sim to do their homework, open your Sim's inventory, locate their homework book (it'll be orange if your Sim is a child and blue if they're older) and click the "Do Homework" option. If you're tired of your Sims doing homework in weird places—mine always go straight to their parents' offices—you can also drag their homework from their inventory, place it where you want in the house, and click on it to "Do Homework" there instead. As your Sims work their way up the educational ladder and become B students, they'll earn the option to do extra credit after their usual homework, which you'll do in the same way as regular homework and will deliver a helpful boost to their school standing. This process is a bit different if your Sim is in University via the Discover University pack. You can still find their homework in their inventory, but just like in real life, any Sim in university will have a much heavier homework load with homework for every class. Depending on the class, they'll also have final exams to study for and term presentations and papers to prepare, so make sure to get a head start! Besides completing their usual booklets, there are a few extra ways for younger Sims to get their homework done that come with different packs. If you have the My First Pet Stuff pack, your child Sims can complete their homework by interacting with a hamster (or other hamster-esque pet) and clicking "Study Rodent," which is an especially adorable interaction to watch. I'm a big fan of giving all my kids pet rats and hedgehogs so they can get their homework while bonding with their little friends. If you have the Parenthood pack, every Monday, your grade school and high school aged Sims will come home with school projects. To do these, you'll want to drag them into the world and then interact with them. You'll get to choose between working on them carefully or sloppily, and other Sims can pitch in as well to speed up the process (and even win the project's owner some extra credit). Sims 4 build tips : Best home makeovers How to do homework : and find lost homework How to write a song : Musical Sim goals How to age up infants : life stage complete How to make stairs with a landing Where'd your Sim's homework go?If your Sim is missing their homework book, here are a few things that might have happened to it: - It might have been stashed in the family inventory in Build Mode
- They left it at an entirely different lot
- You accidentally sold it (for a whopping 1 Simoleon!)
If you can't find your Sim's homework for the night, it likely wasn't a teacher's act of kindness and you'll need to buy them a new booklet. Sims won't get new homework when they head to school again. You can replace missing homework by using any bookshelf and clicking the "Purchase Books" option and selecting homework. If your Sim is in university, you can also buy them a new homework book via the kiosks found around campus. How to do homework faster in The Sims 4There are also a few ways you can speed up your Sim's homework times, which is especially useful if you're attempting to raise a well-rounded kid by squeezing in other after school activities. The best way of doing this, though, is simply by doing your homework as often as possible. As your Sims' grades improve, this option will change to "Breeze Through Homework" and eventually "Dominate Homework," allowing them to knock out their homework a lot faster. Having your Sims' parents help them with their homework is also always a good idea—it'll speed the process up quite a bit and allow your Sims to bond in the process. If you have more kids than older Sims in the household, you can always invite over some adults from the town to help, which is a little weird in practice, but hey! It works. If you're playing with Discover University, the Study Spot lot trait helps students of all ages do their homework faster and lets them work for longer without getting tired. Giving a lot you're living in this trait is always a good option to save on travel time, but if you'd rather not change your own lot's traits, the library in Britechester comes with this trait and is just a gorgeous spot to study in. Lastly, having some Simanite (a crystal from the Crystal Creations pack) can help your Sims get homework done faster. The Sims 4 | How to Do Homeworkby Andrew Smith November 29, 2022, 2:40 am If you ever raise kids in The Sims 4 , you will eventually run into a minor problem. Kids need to do their homework in this game and they will rarely do it without some direction. Depending on how rebellious your Sim is, you will have to remind them to do their work. So, if you’re wondering how you can remind your Sim to do their homework in The Sims 4 , you’ve come to the right place! How to Do Homework in The Sims 4In order to convince a Sim to do their homework in The Sims 4 , you will need to enter their inventory – in the bottom right corner of the screen – and locate their homework book. This item begins as an orange book and changes color as a Sim progresses through their life, though it will always be labeled with “Homework.” Find the homework in the Sim’s inventory, then click on it to bring up an interaction menu. Click on “Do Homework,” “Breeze Through Homework,” or “Dominate Homework” to complete the task. Homework typically takes any Sim one hour to complete. However, there are ways to speed this up. A “Study Spot” lot will boost homework speed by 50%. A young Sim with high skill levels in the four major qualities will be able to “Breeze Through Homework” or “Dominate Homework,” each of which will improve the Sim’s speed by a little bit. If you misplace your homework book, then you can purchase a new one from a book case for §1, or they can simply borrow one from another Sim. It doesn’t need to be their homework! If you have the Discover University expansion, then young adult Sims will be subjected to homework as well. They do not need to do homework to get a high grade. However, it is better to have them do homework than spend hours studying or editing term papers. Looking for more weird stuff in The Sims 4 ? We know that this game is full of confusing mechanics. Sims 4: How to Do HomeworkHow to Do Homework in The Sims 4The Sims 4 will have you living out your sim family’s life any which way you’d like. When your family expands and you get some children or teens, though, it’s time to start worrying about grades at school! The best way to ensure their education is top notch is to make sure they do their homework each and every school day (Mondays-Fridays). Let’s go over how to do this. Every weekday, your child or teen sim will come home from school with homework. It can be found in their inventory, and you’ll be able to do it by clicking on it from there and selecting to do it. You can also have an adult help them out while they’re doing it by selecting the adult and then clicking on the child/teen and choosing the Help With Homework option. Complete this and you’ll make sure your grades don’t drop! If you want to get a bit of boost in school performance, you can “Do Extra Credit” by clicking on the homework again when it’s all done the first time. This will lead to a small increase in performance the next morning that you head back to school. That’s all there is to it! If you need any more help with the game, leave a comment down below and we’ll do our best to help you out! How to do homework in The Sims 4 GuideHomework in The Sims 4 holds significant weight, acting as a pivotal component in a Sim’s journey. It not only shapes their academic growth but also molds their future opportunities. For school-aged Sims, namely children and teenagers, homework becomes an everyday assignment that plays into their daily routines. When a Sim transitions into either the child or teenager phase, they’re bestowed with homework books. The younger children receive orange ones, while the teens are given blue books. To embark on their homework journey, Sims needs to access their inventory, find the homework book, and select the “do homework” command. But fret not if you misplace a Sim’s homework! There’s always the option to buy another set for a mere Simoleon from any available bookcase. Managing Sims 4 Homework for School-aged SimsEvery weekday, from Monday to Friday, these school-goers are assigned homework in Sims 4. It becomes part and parcel of their academic life. Now, to ensure that they do their assignments promptly and effectively, there are strategies that players can employ: - Adult Sim Assistance : A little help can go a long way. An adult Sim, when prompted, can aid a child or teen in their homework endeavors, cutting down the time it takes to complete it.
- Breeze through Homework : As a child Sim hone their skills and achieve level three in all four child skills, they unlock a special “Breeze through Homework” capability, allowing them to finish their tasks in record time.
- Dominate Homework : For the prodigious child Sim who scales their skills to level seven, the “Dominate Homework” feature becomes available, serving as a turbo boost to their homework completion rate. It’s noteworthy, however, that this feature is strictly for the children, leaving the teens to find their pace.
Advanced Homework Strategies for Teens in Sims 4Teenage Sims have their own academic battles in The Sims 4. They attend high school daily, and with it comes the responsibility of daily homework. Players have the unique opportunity to accompany their teen Sims to school, oversee their academic endeavors, and influence their choices. To kick-start the homework ritual: - Dive into the Sim’s personal inventory and scout for the blue book adorned with white writing.
- Hover over the said item and pick the “Do Homework” directive.
- During this, the Sim settles down at a table, immersing themselves in their assignment.
- For a little push, players can usher an adult Sim to pitch in, selecting the “Help with schoolwork” option.
- For Sims striving for excellence, especially those with grades languishing below a B, there’s always the “Do extra credit work” avenue which, when taken, provides noticeable benefits in school.
University Homework in The Sims 4 University ExpansionThe University expansion in The Sims 4 introduces a different ball game. With the pursuit of a degree, Sims is saddled with daily homework duties, even before their first class commences. To stay atop this academic ladder and eye that A-plus grade: - The university homework can be accessed via a black-and-white book in the Sim’s inventory.
- From this book, players can cherry-pick the specific class homework they desire their Sims to tackle.
- To amp up the homework progress, there’s the “Study Spot” lot trait. Players can either:
- Infuse this trait into their houses or dorms.
- Opt for a library visit, a place inherently bestowed with the “Study Spot” trait.
But the game-changer lies in the research and debate skills. Sims equipped with this skill don’t just breeze through their homework but also master term papers and presentations with flair. Beginning this skill development in the teenage years can provide a formidable advantage during the university phase. Related posts:- How to Edit Pre Existing Sims in CAS in Sims 4
