In the today’s modern life, cell phones undoubtedly regarded as one of the most common means of communication that have given a great impact to the mankind ‘s life in first hand. Young generation nowadays have used cell phones like an indispensible commodity that goes along with them in any pace of life , even at schools or in classrooms. Although cell phones bring everyone many benefits and conveniences, a student using cell phones in secondary and high school is unacceptable for some following reasons.

The initial important reason of not allowing students using cell phones at school is to avoid the cheating situation in exam. If cell phone use is allowed during class, it will be difficult for teachers to control and catch students who are texting each other or copying the answers of others during the tests and final exams through cell phones accessed to Internet. Furthermore, cell phone use in class can make students be lazy in brainstorming and making use of creativity in the case they deal with difficult problems.

As a result, cell phone use in class should be banned and early prevented at school effectively. The second noticeable reason is that cell phone use can make students fall in the state of distraction in studying. Obviously, cell phone use during class impact detrimentally on student’s process of attention and level of contribution, many teenagers suffer from permanent partial attention disorder, which is a habit of paying only partial attention to their schoolwork, while devoting half of their attention, typically, to social networking sites or instant massaging.

School environment is a safe and healthy place, however, students are in the changing period of both mentality and physicality, sometimes due to small problems they easily take action without thinking carefully, such as fighting, gathering into small gangs, bullying each other. Students often use cell phones to call the assistance of outside when they are getting into fights, then lead to the serious effects later. School administrators are difficult to control the order of school if this problem happens.

Therefore, not allowing using cell phones at school are going to avoid the order of school in danger. In conclusion, everything always has two sides of it, not excepting cell phones a sort of useful tool, importantly, we should know take use of its advantages effectively. Cell phone use bring us so many benefits but lead to a large number of problems, therefore, from the above —mentioned reasons ,personally I consider that cell phone use in secondary and high school should be banned to prevent unpredictable effects later.

Mobile telephone: boon or bane? Essay, Paragraph for Class 9, 10, 11 and 12, Competitive Examination.

Mobile telephone: boon or bane?

In recent decades, there have been many advances in the communications industry. Undoubtedly, one of the most important of these advances has been the mobile telephone.

The mobile telephone is a particularly important invention because it enables people to contact other people by means of a device that they can carry around. Before its invention, people who wanted to be in telephone contact with someone had to make the call either from a telephone in a private house or from a public telephone box.

Being able to make a call from a telephone that you can carry about has revolutionized communication by telephone. If you need to contact someone on a business matter, you can use your mobile. There is no danger of your missing out on an important business opportunity because of communication difficulties.

Instant communication from everywhere, apart from places where it is not possible to get a clear signal, has to be an advantage, whether you are in a business, social or domestic situation. For example, it is useful to be able to ring your wife from a train to say that it has been very much delayed because of some problems on the line and that you will be home late. This stops her from worrying, and probably from cooking a dinner that would otherwise end up being burnt.

Similarly, it is a good thing to be able to forewarn someone with whom you plan to have dinner in a restaurant that you are either going to be late or unable to turn up at all. Such communication can save a friendship.

Perhaps the most important advantage of the mobile telephone is the fact that it can be used in an emergency situation. For example, if a teenage girl misses the last bus home, she can ring her parents and get them to come and get her, without having to worry about searching for the nearest telephone box. Similarly, if someone sees a person being attacked in the street by a thug, he can use his mobile telephone to call the police or an ambulance. That could save a life.

These then are some of the advantages of the mobile telephone, but they undoubtedly have disadvantages. One of the most important of these is the intrusion into the lives of others. Some mobile telephone users ignore the fact that they are probably disturbing the people around them.

You only have to travel in a bus or train to be aware of this problem. A train journey can be absolutely ruined by the nearby presence of someone who is using the train carriage like a mini- office. The person spends the whole journey conducting by mobile telephone the business which he is not able to conduct face to face.

Buses are particularly popular with mobile telephone users. Fellow passengers may forgive an urgent call to the boss to say that the caller has been unavoidably delayed, but far too many bus passengers use their telephones simply to pass the time by chatting to their friends. The main complaint that people make about mobile telephones is that people use them to send absolutely unnecessary and trivial information, such as “I’ve just got on the bus. I should be home in about five minutes. What’s on TV tonight?”

There are advantages and disadvantages connected with mobile telephones. I think that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, provided people use them sensibly.

A mobile phone or cell phone is a hand-held portable radiophone that uses the cellular or satellite network for voice or data communication. Apart from talking, it can be used for sending SMS, e-mail and for taking photos and videos.

Essay on Mobile Phones: 400 Words

When telephone was first introduced in the world in the 1950s, people were keenly interested in it. As an easier way of communication, telephone has its own merit. Of late, the introduction of mobiles makes an easy access to communication. It is in fact inevitable in the present day of hurry and business. People have warmly accepted mobiles as the blessing of science. There is little doubt that without the use of mobiles none is nowadays able to lead one’s life quite normally. One is capable of communicating with people, staying far away very quickly. Thus many a problem can be well- solved by way of using these mobiles.

But everything has its merit and demerit. As science is a bane as well as a boon, mobiles are to some extent to be cursed. People, especially the young generation, have been abusing mobiles. They not only chat in an unexpected way but also indulge themselves in leading immoral life by abusing mobiles. Apart from this, several mercenary companies exploit the advantage of mobiles to meet their selfish ends. They do business through mobiles. As a result, young people have been misguided. To use mobiles is for them to be up to date. They avail themselves of the opportunity of the internet connection in their mobiles and do whatever they like to do. Obscene video clippings and some other versions of immoral entertainment are now available in mobiles. Therefore, the students have now tremendous fascination for the mobiles. Consequently, instead of studying, concentrate on using mobiles for sheer fun.

Another demerit is that because of the excessive use of the mobiles different companies plunge themselves into doing profitable business. Consequently, numerous towers have been erected for the network of mobiles. It is well known that a particular wave which is responsible for the mobile network does harm to the ecological balance of the environment. It is evident in the pale colors of the trees and fruits adjacent to the mobile towers.

Thus, it is the time to be conscious of the abuse of the mobiles. The concerned authority should take immediate steps to stop immoral business which is proliferating in abusing mobiles. All should remember that the sole purpose of mobile is to communicate. Entertainment may be available in the network of mobiles. But there should be no immoral design. Above all, the government should restrict the use of mobiles, so much so that anti-social activities may not be done through mobiles.

Essay, Paragraph, Speech on “Mobile Phone – A Boon or Bane” Complete English Essay for Class 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, Graduation classes.

Mobile Phone – A Boon or Bane

The mobile phone first appeared in India sometime in the nineties. It was a bulky box quite similar to the landlines we still use today. It had an equally big antenna  and was heavy and cumbersome to carry. That was just the beginning. Very soon they were all over the place. With the alarming speed at which they shrunk in size, these pocket sized wonders, sure packed a punch. The mobiles of today are gizmos that can do multiple functions. They can send text messages, they can send and receive video messages and they have a host of facilities that somehow snake the – talk on the move” function seem redundant. As is the case with every invention, with time the prices crashed and today these little things are available for as less as five hundred Indian rupees. In India almost every one, everywhere, seems to have one. The vegetable vendor, the bus conductor, students, the office goers, almost everybody irrespective of economic status has a cell phone. This little midget has taken the world by storm.

Thanks to the cell phone everybody is available almost all of the time. It’s a boon for people who do a lot of field work. It means the offices they work for can keep in touch with them. Also in cases of emergency, like you are stuck in a road jam or in some catastrophe, all you have to do is whip out your phone and call for help or call your family to put their minds at ease. You can text one message to several people at the same time. Through your cell you can go online and check your email. You can playgames on your cell phone to kill time, not the best of uses, but a use nonetheless. You can even listen to music on the cell, watch video clippings and if you are of the artistic bend and wish to click a spontaneous photograph, viola!! One click on the cell phone and you are done.

Everywhere you go, you are swarmed by people glued to their cell phones. It has reached the proportions where often one sees a young couple walking down the beach hand in hand; both their other hands holding on to their individual cells talking to other people. It means that people are talking a lot more than they used to for sure. It means that when you visit a friend for dinner most ofthe time everybody is busy on their individual cells. It also means that people drive recklessly-their one ear and one hand occupied by the cell. However, it is the total invasion of privacy which cell phones have caused which is scary. People are recording videos of other people without their knowledge and then selling them. Advertising through text messages has become such a nuisance that you have your cell phone beeping almost all the time. In case of an emergency, often, the network is jammed thanks to the indiscriminate use of cell phones. Several health risks have been projected by the misuse of the cell phone; one of them being the decreased count of sperm in men due to prolonged use. Kids have been caught storing answers on the cell phone to use during examinations.

What use is technology if it makes us restless, impatient and deprives us of the moments that really matter-a cup of hot tea had against the backdrop of the pitter patter of the rain, a walk on the beach with a loved one. What use is it if it robs us of the joy of taking a walk down the beach listening to the sound of waves? With every technology, along with its uses come the misuses and it is the user’s responsibility to use technology with caution.

Mobile Phones: Good or Bad?

Mobile phones are helpful because they make life easier. You can call your family, get help in emergencies, and learn new things online. But sometimes, they can be bad if used too much, like causing less face-to-face talk with friends.

Using Phones Wisely

Mobile phones can be good if we use them right. It’s important to spend time with people in real life and not just on the phone. Balance is key to making sure mobile phones help and not hurt our lives.

250 Words Essay on Mobile A Boon Or Bane

Mobile phones have changed the way we live. They are small devices that let us talk, send messages, and use the internet from almost anywhere. Many people think about whether mobile phones are good or bad for us.

Connecting People

One of the best things about mobile phones is that they help us stay in touch with family and friends. No matter where we are, we can call or message someone in an instant. This is very helpful in emergencies or when we need to share important news.

Learning and Fun

Mobile phones can be tools for learning. There are apps for reading, math, and even learning new languages. They also have games and videos that can be fun and sometimes teach us new things.

Health and Safety

Mobile phones can keep us safe. We can call for help if we are in danger. They also have apps that can track our steps or remind us to drink water, which is good for our health.

Distractions and Problems

Even though mobile phones have many good points, they can also cause problems. They can distract us from homework or sleep. Some people also use them too much and forget to talk to people face-to-face.

In the end, mobile phones have both good and bad sides. It’s up to us to use them in ways that help us and not let them get in the way of living healthy and happy lives. We should remember that like any tool, the value of mobile phones depends on how we use them.

500 Words Essay on Mobile A Boon Or Bane

Introduction to mobile phones.

Mobile phones have become a big part of our lives. They are small computers that we can carry in our pockets. With a mobile phone, you can talk to someone far away, send messages, take pictures, and even go on the internet. Many people think mobile phones are very useful. But some worry that they can also cause problems.

Mobile Phones as a Boon

First, let’s talk about the good things mobile phones bring to us. They make it easy to talk to family and friends no matter where they are. This is great for keeping in touch and sharing news quickly. Also, if you are in trouble or lost, you can call for help.

Mobile phones are also great for learning. You can find a lot of information on the internet. Students can use mobile apps for studying and doing homework. Plus, if you like taking photos or making videos, a mobile phone is a handy tool.

Another good thing is that mobile phones can help us stay safe. There are apps that can tell you if there is bad weather coming or if there is something dangerous happening near you.

Mobile Phones as a Bane

Now, let’s talk about the problems mobile phones can cause. One big worry is that they can be distracting. For example, if you are looking at your phone all the time, you might not pay attention in class or when you are walking on the road, which can be dangerous.

Another problem is that spending too much time on your phone can make you feel lonely. Even if you are talking to people online, it’s not the same as being with them in person. Some people also get sad when they see others having fun on social media and feel like they are missing out.

Mobile phones can also be bad for your health. Looking at a screen for a long time can hurt your eyes. And if you use your phone before bed, it might be hard to fall asleep.

Balance is Key

So, is a mobile phone a boon or a bane? It’s actually both. It can be a great tool that helps us in many ways. But if we use it too much or in the wrong way, it can cause problems.

The important thing is to find a balance. Use your mobile phone when you need it, but don’t let it take over your life. Make sure to spend time with people face to face, and don’t forget to look up from your screen to see the world around you.

In conclusion, mobile phones have both good and bad sides. They can help us stay connected, learn new things, and stay safe. But they can also distract us, make us feel lonely, and hurt our health if we’re not careful. It’s up to us to use mobile phones in a smart way so that we get the benefits without the problems. Remember, it’s not the phone itself that’s good or bad, but how we choose to use it.

That’s it! I hope the essay helped you.

Joseph, Yes, you are welcome to use this for your classwork. However, please note that copying an essay from another source may not be allowed by your teacher. So, it is a good idea to take this as a base version and then come up with your own points and enhance it.

This is a good resource that will be useful for many years. Cellphone is a boost for the people as it makes communications easy and flexible. The modern communication is a very wide and large network that one can not but admit to be useful to the existence of man now and forever.

Tomorrow, I am participating in a debate on this same subject and the points are very useful. Thanks a lot. Sridhar Murthy

I need a speech for the topic "Mobile revolution is necessary or not". Can you please share an essay on that subject so that I can use it for my academic programs?

Thanks a lot for sharing the essay on "Is mobile phone a boon or bane".

It is a very useful essay. Thanks for sharing this.

This Saturday I should be ready to face debate in my school on this topic , I just gone through it once,It is very nice THANK YOU for sharing.

According to me as far as the children are concerned the mobiles are bane to them as it hinders the very progress in many ways. Children are attracted to the mobiles because they can fiddle with various features and want to play the games stored in it. But the mobile phone ultra rays are bad for the eyes and soon the children will get the eye sight problems. And those who are addicted to the mobiles, the children never listen to the parents commands and wants to have the phones on hand. The diversion tactic also does not work as invariably more people are having the cell phones on hand and the child would recollect his phone immediately through adamant attitude. As far as possible the parents should not use the cell phones in front of the child otherwise they have to part with the phones over the years to come.

This response being posted after the corona lock down has been eased across the country and the schools remain shut and the academic year is being continued through online education and thus mobile phones has become suddenly important and boon to the children as many schools are conducting online classes and the children need to attend those classes taking notes, understanding the subjects and submitting the notes. All these are now happening through the mobile phones and the children cannot escape the excuse as every parent has the mobile phone and they need to log in for their children classes.

Mobile Phone Boon or Bane

Mobile Phone Boon or Bane

Science has made the life very comfortable for human being. Civilisation started from the scratch. But today, men have everything within the reach of hands. Inventions of science are wonderful and useful. The invention of mobile phone is an appropriate example.

A mobile phone or cell phone is an electronic telecommunication device with the same basic capability as a conventional fixed-line telephone and many more applications, which is entirely portable and handy and is not required to be connected with a wire to the telephone network.

In addition to the standard voice function of a telephone, a mobile phone can support many additional services such as SMS for text messaging, packet switching for access to the Internet, MMS for sending and receiving photos and videos. The mobile phone has become a key social tool, and people rely on their mobile phone address book to keep in touch with their friends & loved ones.

Besides being a tool of immediate communication, mobile phones are now a safety tool as well. Thanks to advancement in technology, friends and loved ones can be tracked down with the help of GPS installed on their phone. Cell phones today are a state of the art, all-in-one multipurpose device, which can do multiple tasks at the same time. It can play music, calculate, take pictures and do many other things within a short time.

However, if misused, mobile phones are truly a bane. Using mobile phones for a long time makes the user get addicted to it. Some consider it a major source of distraction especially for students. They also cause many health hazards. Radiation emitted by mobile phones can damage human brain cells and even lead to cancer.

Those listening to music in full volume, with the help of head/earphones are more prone to accidents than other because they are unable to hear the sound of the horn. It can also cause permanent deafness. Mobile phones, now being equipped with camera, are sometimes used for immoral activities and later promoting them.

A question that arises is if a knife a useful instrument or a dangerous weapon? It depends on how it is used. The same is the case with technology. The greatest inventions are those which affect the masses and thus mobile phones are the greatest invention which has brought a revolution in the lives of people around the world.

The younger generation has been introduced to mobile mobiles from the time of their birth and they tend to spend more time on mobile phones than playing or studying. Most incidents on roads often take place as it is an acceptable practice to drive while talking on mobile phones.

A survey conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMMS) in 2013, tried to find out the dependence (nomophobia), its benefits and harm in Indian scenario considering the tremendous increase in the number of mobile phone users in the past decade.

The study showed that youth in the 25 years of age studying in professional colleges use mobile phones quite frequently since most reside in hostels. Day scholar students, too, want to be in constant touch with their family members and friends since they are out of their homes for the most active portion of the day, and at nights while studying in colleges.

Similarly, a study conducted in the United Kingdom in 2015 showed that subjects tend to be anxious when they lose their mobile phone, run out of battery or credit or have no network coverage. The study found that about 58% of men and 48% of women suffer from the phobia, and an additional 9% feel stressed when their mobile phones are off. About 55% of those surveyed cited keeping in touch with friends or family as the main reason that they got anxious when they could not use their mobile phones.

A study conducted by the Market Analysis and Consumer Research Organization (MACRO) in Mumbai to study various patterns and association of mobile phone usage reported that 58% of the respondents could not manage without a mobile phone even for a day. This survey shows increasing use of mobile phones among students and psychological dependence on mobile. They are also prone to develop nomobhobia, phantom ring and habit of checking their pocket for mobiles.

Long term usage may lead to certain personality changes. In reality, these results give an alarming indication that in coming era more and more youth may become mobile users and so will be more dependent on mobile phones, which may lead to serious psychiatric and psychological problems among users.

Nowadays, almost every adult has a mobile phone. It is estimated that nearly 500 crore people worldwide use mobile phones. Its use is highest in China followed by India. This trend is having an upward swing especially in younger age group because of need as well as peer-pressure.

It would be ungrateful on our part not to recognize how imperative mobile phones to us are. Mobile phones have not only given us privileges but also affected our lives much. The world has become a global village as people can communicate with each using a mobile other all around the world within seconds.

During an emergency, be it fire, accident or bad health, there is no other  source than mobiles which comes to our rescue. Mobile phones also help us to keep updated with recent happenings and help us to be in touch with our family even when we are far away.

Mobile phone etiquettes have become an important issue with mobiles ringing at funerals, weddings, movies, and plays. Users often speak at increased volume, with little regard for other people nearby. It has become common practice for places like bookshops, libraries, movie theatres, and places of worship to post signs prohibiting the use of mobiles, sometimes even installing jamming equipment to prevent them.

They are convenient, easily accessible, and of great use. One has to remember that mobiles are invented for our convenience and not to create a nuisance. If used judiciously, wisely and with public etiquette, mobiles can be of great use. It is up to each individual how they want to use it.

Essay on Mobile Phone Boon or Bane – 400 Words

Mobile phones are a boon as they are used for a number of useful purposes. Nevertheless, there is also no denying the fact that a gadget as useful as a mobile phone could sometime be annoying and irritating.

Boon or Bane

Of course mobile phones are a boon given to the number of useful purposes they are used for like – internet, voice or video chat, documentation etc. Despite from the usual there are other uses like – social media and remain updated about the developments. Today every mobile phone user has a social media account, which he manages from his mobile phone. It helps him/her to remain connected to family and friends as well as other dignitaries like politicians, actors, cricketers etc.

But despite all the advantages, mobile phones could sometimes be annoying too. The use of mobile phones for various purposes and the accessibility of internet have compromised the privacy of the user. Also, every form that we fill today has a mandatory column asking to provide the phone number. Today the number of a common mobile phone user is available with many marketing agencies whose main aim is to sell their product. This loop hole in privacy has led to unwanted and unexpected marketing calls. People get annoying calls from insurance agents, marketing executives, etc, trying to sell their products to the mobile phone user, who is not at all interested.

Next in line is social media. Social media is a place where people share their views, pictures etc with those who are connected. However, this has also compromised the privacy to a certain level as someone undesirable could also peek into your account and send annoying messages; trailing you regularly. Such unwanted social buffs could be really annoying and some people are known to be trailed so regularly using inappropriate and indecent comments that they had to totally shut down their social media account.

In the end it would be more appropriate to say that mobile phones are both a boon and a bane. They are a boon when used appropriately and within limits but could be bane when they are used with mala fide intentions. Even a useful gadget as a mobile phone could be well annoying when it is used with the bad intention of deceiving someone, trailing him/her inappropriately on social media and other accounts.

What is a good essay writing service?

Oddly enough, but many people still have not come across a quality service. A large number of users fall for deceivers who take their money without doing their job. And some still fulfill the agreements, but very badly.

A good essay writing service should first of all provide guarantees:

  • confidentiality of personal information;
  • for the terms of work;
  • for the timely transfer of the text to the customer;
  • for the previously agreed amount of money.

The company must have a polite support service that will competently advise the client, answer all questions and support until the end of the cooperation. Also, the team must get out of conflict situations correctly.

It is necessary to have several payment methods on the site to make it easier for the client to transfer money.

And of course, only highly qualified writers with a philological education should be present in the team, who will not make spelling and punctuation errors in the text, checking all the information and not stealing it from extraneous sites.
