AIOU LMS is a great platform for online learning activities. I have been using LMS for many years with a wonderful experience. Most of the features of AIOU-LMS are not fully explored due to its variety of substantial sub features which are available for interactive learning environment. How to check AIOU assignment marks on the LMS portal

AIOU Assignment Marks Now Available on LMS

The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has launched a new feature that will allow students to view their assignment marks directly on the LMS portal of AIOU.

AIOU has started giving students their assignments marks by 2022. The students will now be able to track their assignment marks through an interface in AIOU LMS 2022.

Enter your username and password

Once you log in to your Allama Iqbal Open University account, you can get your marks.

The marks will be categorized into one of three options – pending, graded, or assigned.

In all cases, you should see a list of assignments for that class and each will show your performance with respect to it.

An email was sent out about how to check AIOU assignment marks by using the LMS portal login AIOU methodically in every user account.

What if you have an issue with your LMS

Log on to your account and click on My Assignments in the top-right corner of your LMS page. In there, you will find an option to enter assignment marks. Enter your assignment’s code and select its department.

Follow with entering its name and submitting it.

Your marks will be updated as soon as possible. Keep in mind that an assignment must have been submitted before you can enter its marks on the LMS portal.

Students will now be able to view their respective assignments’ marks in the LMS portal.

Students can check how many marks they have obtained out of 100 in each assignment.

This feature has been rolled out for a few courses and will be available for all courses by mid-April 2018.

How to upload assignments marks on LMS

It is a significant day for all students of AIOU because now they can check their assignment marks on LMS.

After submission of each assignment, students will be able to see their updated assignments in the mark sheet of their respective subjects.

If you want to know how to upload your assignments marks in. Aiou then read below given steps:

First of all, open the My Courses section and click Assignments.

You will find three options:

View Assignments, Add New Assignments, and Upload Assignments.

Click the Upload Assignments button which is located at the top right corner under the courses menu option.

AIOU Assignments Marks Check Online Calculate

Do you want to check how many AIOU Assignments Marks you get in the finals? Or do you want to know the passing marks for assignments? Or might be assignment percentage in the finals! All the solutions will be discussed in this article.

In Pakistan, most universities have the same pattern for the students i.e. quizzes, midterms, final term, and a few reports or assignments, etc. In contrast, Allama Iqbal Open University has a different pattern. AIOU doesn’t entertain any quizzes and midterm marks, but only assignments and final marks are included in the final grading system.

AIOU Assignments Marks have a different weightage, which gives by the marking tutor. It totally depends on the concerned teacher how many marks he or she will give to the student. Normally, if you solve all the questions well, then the teacher gives approximately 70+ marks, up to 90 marks. 

AIOU Assignments Marks Sheet

Students from all over Pakistan can submit their assignments online. Most of the students are from the major cities of Pakistan i.e. Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, etc. Nevertheless, many are also getting education from small cities i.e. Kasur, Rajanpur, Chichawatni, and Small villages as well. 

All these students who upload their assignments on the portal have a desire to check their Assignments Marks Sheet after a month. They want to calculate the total number of marks before giving the final papers because assignment marks have 30% weightage in the finals. Hence, if the student gets 90+ marks in the assignments, then automatically 26-27 Marks will be added to the finals. 

AIOU Assignments Numbers

Two assignments are mandatory in a semester, while there are 4 assignments in a few courses. Each assignment contains 100 numbers, out of which you can easily get 80+ marks by writing all 5 answers. Make sure to write in a good pattern, so the checker gives you outstanding marks. Anyhow, to a great extent, getting excellent numbers depends on the assignment tutor . 

The grading system depends on the numbers. While passing marks are at least 40 in the assignments. Each question has 20 marks. It is quite possible that each question has two parts, and each part contains 10 marks. Moreover, these questions are very easy to write. If you have good research ability, you can write an assignment in a day. We are going to provide you with a grading system in the table below, so you can able to achieve A+ grades in your assignments.

According to the grading system, you will be considered failed if your marks are lower than 40. It is advised that write all the questions along with their answers in a well-sequence pattern. Use images and tables in the answers. Make some bullet points that make the assignment better. Make references at the end. In this way, the possibility of getting 90+ marks will be higher. 

AIOU Assignments Marks BA

BA assignment marks are 200 for the two assignments. In each assignment, there is almost a 1-month gap, which means you have ultimately 1 month for completing your assignment. Moreover, the pattern of the writing and uploading assignments is the same as we mentioned earlier.

Microsoft Team account is set for submission of the assignments. If any student of FA is unable to upload the assignment at the given time, he will get 0 marks. To overcome such kind of issue upload your written work as soon as possible, otherwise, be ready for R/E/A in the next semester of a particular course. 

In conclusion, AIOU Assignments Marks play a vital role in gaining an A grade in the final examination results . Try to get 95 marks on each assignment. If you get 190/200 marks in both assignments, then 28.5 marks will be added to your final examination marks. Moreover, you can calculate AIOU Assignment Marks by yourself with this formula i.e. gain marks / total marks * 30 (190/200*30 =28.5).

Originality reports , which are built into both Assignments and Classroom, provide educators with flags for potential plagiarism in student work and also help students quickly identify passages that may need citations. Educators and students can use originality reports without leaving Assignments, making it easier and faster to check work.

Over the coming weeks, we’re improving originality reports so that more educators and students can benefit from them. We’re increasing the number of free assignments educators can use the feature with, making reports available in new languages, and adding the ability to print, save and download reports for easy sharing. And for schools with G Suite Enterprise for Education, teachers will be able to detect potential plagiarism between students, in addition to web pages. Organising marks - Assignments and assignment groups

Understanding assignments and assignment groups.

Your assignment group setup in Canvas will influence what you see in your course markbook, what your students see in their view of marks and the options available to you when mapping to the GMS. This video contextualises the 3 most common assignment group setups in Canvas. Detailed step-by-step instructions of how to work with assignments and assignment groups are available in the written text below.

Assignments are individual assessment items that receive marks, as, for example, Written assignment, Online quiz 1, Online quiz 2, Lab report 1, Lab report 2, End-of-trimester exam, Deferred and supplementary exam.

Assignment groups are categories of assignments, such as sets of assignments, reports, quizzes, exams. While they can be used to help organise your assignments, using assignment groups when there are sets of assignments, is extremely important when finalising grades in the University’s Grade Management System (GMS).

Assignments and assignments groups are created separately. Assignments or assignment groups can be mapped to Course Profile assessment featured in Step 1 Assessment Mapping of the GMS depending on the calculation of marks needed.

Creating assignments and mark columns

When preparing your course, you will need to create all the course assessment items that your students do using the Assignment tool and organise them into assignment groups.

These assignments can be “assignment shells”, meaning that they simply state the assessment title, due date, and how many points they are worth as defined in the Course Profile. You can come back and edit each assignment at any time to include more detailed information. However, it is important when creating your assignment shells to determine the types of assignments your students will complete, for example, Quizzes, Discussions, and Assignments.

For any marked assessments for which students will not submit work via Canvas, (e.g. presentation or an in-person exam), create a No Submission or On Paper submission type assignment.

Adding assignment groups

A Canvas course site must have at least one assignment group which is why on creation of each course site, a default ‘Assignments’ assignment group is created.

For an Assessment Plan, published in the Course Profile, which is ‘flat’ in structure, as all assessments comprise of only one (1) assignment per task, then the default ‘Assignments’ assignment group can be used to group all assignments the course. We just suggest you change the name of this assignment group to “Assessments” to reflect Griffith policy and avoid possible confusion to students around what is covered in policy.

For an Assessment Plan, published in the Course Profile, which either has a single assessment task made up of sub-tasks (e.g. quizzes, lab reports etc) or requires an additional assignment (not the original assessment) to manage underperformance or deferment, grouping of assignments is necessary for the Markbook to calculate a total mark for the assignment group, that is then used in the University’s Grade Management System (GMS) to help derive a final grade for the course. In this way, the assignment group is a sub-total column that is mapped to a single assessment item in the GMS.

When adding and naming your assignment groups, please be aware that students can see all assignment groups in a course, whether assessment has or hasn’t been added to the group.

Moving assignments to different assignment groups

If you need to adjust your setup of assignment groups later in the trimester, you can continue to create and move existing assignments around, even once assignments have been submitted and/or marked. Detailed information on how can be found in the Canvas Guides .

If you have mapped your assessment in the Grade Management System (GMS) and you have made changes to assignment groups that affect your mapping, you will need to re-do the mapping.

Weighting assignment groups

Canvas allows you to apply weighting on each assignment group to calculate the final percentage mark for students in the course. If weighting is not applied, the “Total” for the course will be a running total of all marks. For more information, see How do I weight the final course based on assignment groups? (Canvas Guides) .

It is highly recommended that assignment group weighting is not applied in Canvas and that totals are hidden from students in their mark summary view. For detailed information on how to, see How do I hide totals in my student's grade summaries? (Canvas Guides) .

Assessment weightings are approved and published to students as part of the Assessment Plan in the Course Profile and are applied in the University’s Grade Management System (GMS) when calculating the final grade for a course. If weighting is not applied to your assignment groups, then the overall course total (final course percentage mark) displayed to the student in Canvas will not be correct, therefore it is recommended that you also hide totals from students.  To understand how students view their marks, see Canvas' Student Guide on the subject (Canvas Guides) .

If you do choose to apply weightings to your assignment groups and show totals to students, it is important that you:

  • Ensure the weightings assigned in Canvas, match those weightings approved and published in the Course Profile.
  • Monitor the totals calculated.  Your set-up of assignments (assigning assignments to assignment grouping, applying drop rules or not, using the Assign To field or not) and marking (use of 0s instead of [-]), may impact the accuracy of a student’s overall course total – displayed to both Instructors via the Markbook and to students.

Note: Griffith has historically and continues to strongly encourage Course Convenors to hide totals displayed to students in the University’s LMS. Firstly, this is to avoid the likelihood of miscalculation of a student’s final percentage mark in the LMS and avoid student complaints. If assignment groups or assignments are unintentionally setup incorrectly, the LMS can communicate inconsistent final percentage mark outcomes to the student when compared to the final percentage mark calculated by the Grade Management System (GMS). Secondly, students may use their final percentage mark to assume their final grade. During the grading period, final percentage cut-offs for each grade may be adjusted, mandatory pass components and supplementary assessment policy may be applied; just some of the factors that can change the outcome of a student’s final grade.

Including only marked assignments in an assignment group

Assignment groups can be used to combine marks across a set of assignments, reports, quizzes, exams for the calculation of an overall assignment mark.

If you intend to use an assignment group to obtain an overall assignment mark, you need to carefully consider the assignments you include in your assignment group. Any points associated to these assignments will be included in the total percentage mark for the assignment group, which is then used to calculate grades for students in the University’s Grade Management System (GMS).

In this scenario, the “Practice Quiz (Optional)” assignment will be included in the overall “Weekly Quiz” assignment group mark and will calculate 89/110 = 80.9% , that will then be used in the GMS calculation of the student’s final grade.

In this example, it is best to ensure the quiz has been setup as a “Practice Quiz” Quiz Type (non-graded quiz), or move the ‘Practice Quiz (Optional)’ to another Assignment Group, so that only the quiz assignments that contribute toward the overall “Weekly Quiz” assessment group mark are included, and instead calculates 81/100 = 81% .

Grading learner performance .

In LMS, It is possible to Grade the learner based on their performance in each course.  Categories can be defined to differentiate marks weightage as required. For example, 20% weightage to assignments and 80% weightage to the online test (total weightage 100%) A Gradebook can be viewed for both individuals and all learners in a batch.

Recalculate or Update Learner Grades

The types of grading systems:.

4 Grading Systems can be configured and used

  • Letter Grades

A scale is defined where an alphabetic letter denotes a certain score range. For example 'A+' for 91-100%. Furthermore, within a specific course, categories can be defined and the score weightage can be varied between categories. For example, if two categories are defined, 20% weightage for assessment and 80% for online test. If the learner scores full marks 18 marks out of 20 on both. Then he/she will secure A+ Grade.

A fairly simple grading system where weightage is split across various categories and the learner pass/fail status is displayed based on the score they obtain. For example, If the course pass percentage is configured at 40% and the learner scores above 40% across both categories. Then he/she will secure Pass Grade. 

  • Total Points

Total points are the simple summation of all the scores achieved by the learners across a specific course. For example, if a course contains an assessment valued at 20 marks and an online test valued at 80 marks. If he or she obtains 16 and 70 in total, then the Total Points obtained is 16+70 = 86 Points. Total Points does not support category-based weightage.

If you think a Grading system is not required for your organization, the No Grades  option disables all grading on the whole.

Note 1: Grade categories are defined within individual course settings (My Courses > Select a course > Grade Configuration) and it is only applicable when Letter Grade or Pass/Fail Grade system is used.

Note 2:  The grading scale is used only for Letter Grades and it is defined in account settings, the same scale will be used across all courses (LMS > Account Settings > Grading).

Enabling and Using a Grading System

  • The first step involves enabling all the Grading Systems that can be selected and used for courses. This is done by accessing the Grading page in Account Settings ( LMS > Account Settings > Grading ).

Note 3: Even if all 4 Grading Systems are enabled here, for a specific course only one of the Grading systems can be used. Account Settings serves as a master switch that turns on/off the various possible grading system choices within courses.

  • Now that the grading systems are enabled, it is now time to select one of these as the choice for grading a specific course. To do this navigate to a specific course in LMS > My Courses > select a course > Settings  > Grade Configuration > select a grading system from the drop-down )

  • When selecting Pass/Fail or Letter Grades, an additional step of defining the grade categories and their specific weightage is required. In this example, we are defining the categories as Internal, External, and Main with 50%,25%, and 25% weightage respectively. (weightage percentage must equate to 100% and must not exceed 100% either). Categories are added by using the  + Add Category  option. Click  Save  once all the required updates are done.

  • Now that we have a grading system of choice, and grade categories are defined, it is now time to tag course module entities (such as assignments) to these categories. To do this navigate to Module  tab of the specific course, Edit a specific module entity by clicking on the ellipsis icon > Edit . Now in the Basic Info tab select Grade Category as External  (as created in the previous step) and enter the maximum marks. This step is repeated for other entities, and categories (In this example, Assessment is tagged to the Main category, Assignment is tagged to External, and Session is tagged to Internal)

Grading a Learner

Once a course is published and members have joined, based on the type of course entity, marks are calculated automatically or entered manually. For example, in the case of an online test, the grades are calculated automatically based on learner performance and the marks scored for the answered questions. In the case of an assignment, marks can be entered manually by the course administrator.  Head to the  Modules  page to grade learners. Access the learner's list by clicking on the indicative number adjacent to the course entity for which you would like to enter marks.

Adjacent to the learner's name, enter the marks and hit the enter key to submit marks.

In the screenshot below, only Pedro Martinez has completed the online test, thus marks can only be edited for him.

In online tests, you can make changes or edit awarded marks when the partial marking feature is enabled, or for questions with incorrect answers and descriptive type questions. Marks cannot be edited for unanswered and correctly answered questions.

Use the Adjusted Marks  feature to manually adjust learner marks (to help a learner get pass marks) if needed.

Finally, click  Update Score  and  Recalculate grades if required.

Viewing Gradebook & Grades

To view Grades, Go to a specific course and navigate to the  Members  tab. An overview is displayed here, however, you can also view the complete course Grade Records by clicking on Grades.  To access individual learner grades. Select one of the learner profiles here.

From the gradebook view, you can also print the overall gradebook by clicking the Print button. A popup will display preview and print options, such as number of copies and printing orientation, etc.

Learner grades must be recalculated when there is a change in marks in any of the course entities, this is done to display the correct and updated grades. This applies to both Self-Learning and Blended Learning  courses. Grades can be recalculated from the  Members tab by navigating to  More Actions  >  Recalculate . Additionally, grades can also be recalculated when viewing a learner's grade-book (a  Recalculate button appears, if a possible grade change is detected by the system). 

In this example, the Product Management course has two learners, there is an offline test and assignment which must be graded by the Course Administrator.  Now, when the course administrator has updated the marks of one of the learners (Pedro Martinez), an update in grades is required. When accessing the member's tab, a yellow indicator is shown over Pedro Martinez's grades to indicate the need for a recalculation. The grade book is opened and the grades are recalculated by clicking on the  Recalculate  button. Once recalculated, the corrected grades are displayed.

If you choose to recalculate grades for multiple learners at the same time, or handpick a few customized groups of learners, use the More Actions >  Recalculate  option from the  Members tab.

After submission of assignments through any of the available methods, the assignments goes for an evaluation to the evaluator of the study centre or regional centre. Once the Evaluator has successfully evaluated your assignment then they will either upload your marks directly on the IGNOU Official Site or it will be sent to IGNOU Delhi for updating online and thereafter it can be seen by each student to get their report. You can get your Marks, Status, Grades, and Results of your Assignments from here. Generally, IGNOU Assignment marks updating and uploading within 40 days after submission to the concerned study or regional centre.

How to Check IGNOU Assignment Status 2024?

Many of the students are getting confused about checking their assignment status & marks online after the submission of their assignments to the study centre which they prepared with their hard work. Step – 2 – Now enter your enrollment number on the window that opens.

Received to be Processed This status means the portal has received the assignment successfully.
Received and in Process According to this status, the authorities have downloaded your assignment to start the evaluation.
Check Grade Card Status for Detail Finally, your assignments are checked and marked.

IGNOU Assignment Result and Marks Checking Process 2024

The assignment status will show you when the evaluation is done. The university will start updating your marks on the grade card as soon as the evaluation of the assignments is done. So, you must check the grade card after the assignment status says you to do so.

Step – 1 – Visit the official IGNOU portal at www.ignou.ac.in and go to Student Zone.

Step – 2 –  Search for Results and click on it.

Step – 3 – From the left panel, click on Grade Card .

Step – 4 – Provide your program, course, and enrolment number to search and get your grade card.

As you see your grade card, you can check whether the university has updated your assignment marks on it or not. If the search results are leading to an error, this means the university has not yet started updating the grade cards of the students for this semester.

What If IGNOU Assignment Status Is Not Updated?

Sometimes the update process of IGNOU Assignment status gets delayed for an unknown reason like the evaluation of assignments is delayed in the concerned study centre or maybe the regional centre has not uploaded your assignment marks online. Candidates can wait till the declaration of the result to get updates on their assignment but if you are not able to find your assignment status or marks even after the release of the TEE Result then you need to connect with centre where you submitted your assignments.

The Assignments add-on allows instructors to assign tasks to students based on each topic inside the courses. You can create as many Assignments as you want and either drag-drop Assignments so they’re placed between lessons and quizzes or have them placed at the end of each topic.

Tutor LMS Assignment Add-on

To use the Assignments feature, you must first enable the Assignments add-on as this is a pro functionality. You can do this by going to WP Admin > Tutor LMS Pro > Add-ons and enabling Assignments .

After that, reload the page and you’ll see a new menu item called Assignments under Tutor LMS Pro. This menu will not have any content in the beginning. It will start generating data once students start submitting their Assignments. So now, let’s add an Assignment to a course.

Creating a New Assignment

Open any Course in edit mode (or create a new one) and under the Course Builder section open any Topic and you’ll see a button named Assignments .

Click on that to create a new Assignment and this will open a new popup window. Here, you can fill in the following necessary information:

Assignment Name: Enter a name for the Assignment.

Summary: Explain the task under the summary field. As this is a text editor, you can use the tools to format the text, add links, and also add media.

Attachments: If you want to provide sample questions, research papers, or any kind of additional instructional resource, you can attach those files by clicking on the Upload Attachments button.

Time Limit: Set the Time Limit of the Assignment. This will be applied as soon as the student views the Assignment on the Course Journey Page. You can set any number starting from zero. Here, zero means no time limit. You can then select a unit from the dropdown beside this field. Options include Weeks, Days, and Hours .

After the time limit is over, the student will not be able to upload any files on the Assignment section nor submit the Assignment.

Total Points : Define the total marks a student can obtain by completing this Assignment here. You can set any number larger than zero.

Minimum Pass Points : Define the minimum mark to be obtained to pass this Assignment. You can set any number larger than zero and smaller than or equal to the Total Points defined earlier. 

Allow to Upload Files: Set any number larger than zero if you want to allow the students to upload files. If you don’t want the students to upload any files and just type the text on the submission page then set this to zero.

Upload File Size Limit: Define a File Size Limit (in Megabytes) here for the files students will upload for this Assignment. You can specify any number larger than zero. This field helps restrict the upload of any file that exceeds this limit.

Finally, add this new Assignment to your course by clicking on the Update Assignment button.

Submitting an Assignment

Students will find the Assignment on the Course Journey Page i.e. Lesson View. Here, you’ll be able to see the Assignment Name, Duration, Deadline, Total Marks, Passing Marks, and Description. 

To submit an answer, all you have to do is click on the Start Assignment Submit button.

Doing this will take you to an Assignment Submission form that looks as shown in the image above. Here, you can enter your answer text in the Assignment Submission field and click on Choose File button to open the File Manager and select the file you want to upload.

Finally, you can finish off your submission by clicking on the Submit Assignment button. Your page will reload and a new table will appear listing the Date of submission, Total Marks, Pass Marks, Earned Marks, and the Result.

If the submission is not yet evaluated, then the earned marks column will be blank and the result will be Pending .

Viewing and Evaluating Assignments

Admins and Instructors can view assignments from both the backend and the frontend dashboard of your website.

To find the submitted Assignments navigate to WP Admin > Tutor LMS Pro > Assignments .

Here, you’ll find all the submitted assignments listed with details like Assignment Name, Student, Total Points, Minimum Pass Points, Duration, and Star & End Dates.

You can click on the Evaluate button to see and evaluate the submitted answers or use the Delete button to remove a submission.

To view all Assignments from the frontend you can go to Frontend Dashboard > Assignments .

Then, simply click on the Details to see the submissions if any. There, you can click on Evaluate again to evaluate a submitted assignment.

Evaluating Assignments

As mentioned earlier, you can evaluate assignments from both the backend and the frontend.

Go to WP Admin > Tutor LMS > Assignments and click on the Evaluate button and you’ll see the panel shown above.

Or, you can also go to your site’s Frontend Dashboard > Assignments and click on Evaluate.

Once you’ve entered the Assignments Evaluation Panel , you’ll first be greeted with basic details about the Assignment like Course Name, Student Name, and Submitted Date.

Then, you’ll find the student’s typed answer in the Assignment Description section followed by the files they uploaded which you can download and view by clicking on the download icon.

Lastly, you can submit your Evaluation of the Assignment by filling in the Evaluation Form.

Your Points: Enter the total points you want to award for this assignment. The tooltip beside this field will let you know what the Total Points are for this assignment and you can award anything between 0 and this number.

Feedback: You can use this field to share your thoughts on this Assignment.

To finish off, submit your evaluation by clicking on the Evaluate This Submission button.

Assignment Resubmission

Some students perform well in assignments while some perform miserably. In the case of the latter, some would want to resubmit their assignment work if their initial evaluation results are not satisfying. 

To allow this, you can delete their submitted assignment from the Instructor’s Backend Panel by logging into your website and heading over to WP Admin > Tutor LMS > Assignments, and clicking on the Delete button beside the submission in question.

Once an assignment is deleted, a new version of the task can be resubmitted as long as it’s within the specified time limit.

Mets Injury Notes: Mark Vientos 'feeling good,' Dedniel Nunez closing in on rehab assignment

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza provided a trio of injury updates ahead of Tuesday night's series opener against the Oakland Athletics....

Vientos remains sidelined after being named a late scratch from Sunday night's lineup against the Seattle Mariners due to a sore left ankle.

Mendoza said that the slugging third baseman has been showing good signs over the past two days, though, and he was trying to fight his way into Tuesday's starting nine.

The team will wait and see how his ankle holds up through his pregame workout before deciding if he'll be available off the bench and potentially back in Wednesday's lineup.

Getting Vientos' big bat back in the middle of things would certainly be a nice way to help the Mets' offense snap out of their funk as they open a nine-game homestand against the Athletics, Marlins , and Orioles .

Starling Marte

On that front, the Mets could also be closing in on Marte's return from the injured list, as he heads to Triple-A Syracuse to continue his rehab assignment on Tuesday night.

Mendoza said the expectation is that he'll play back-to-back games in the field on Thursday and Friday, and then the team will see how his knee is holding up after that.

If all goes well, Marte could potentially be back with the team at some point during their weekend series against the Marlins.

It remains to be seen how exactly he'll factor into their plans moving forward with the outfield rotation being a bit crowded with Brandon Nimmo , Harrison Bader , Jesse Winker , and Tyrone Taylor .

Marte has been swinging the bat nicely over his first three rehab appearances in the lower levels of the minors, though, as he has a home run and a stolen base.

Dedniel Nunez

The Mets could also be receiving another reinforcement in the bullpen before you know it, as Nunez is feeling good after throwing another bullpen session on Tuesday afternoon at Citi Field.

The team will wait and see how he recovers over the next couple of days before deciding on his next step, but the best-case scenario is that he could potentially begin a rehab assignment within a week.

"He's feeling a lot better," Mendoza said. "We're getting close. We'll see tomorrow and the next day whether he needs another bullpen or right into a live BP, and then another live BP before a rehab assignment, but the fact that he's on the mound already is a good sign."

The Mets could certainly use a healthy Nunez at the backend of their bullpen, as he's pitched to a strong 2.43 ERA and 0.93 WHIP while striking out 45 batters during his rookie campaign.
