How to give a speech for teachers' day- a guide for students and teachers

A teachers’ day speech is a special occasion speech. It is a speech where you acknowledge your teachers, gurus or mentors for being an absolute human guide and encouraging you to dream. On this special day, you express your gratitude towards them, it can be in the form of a speech or stage performances.

‘When one teaches, two learn.’  Robert Heinlein

Teachers’ Day is that one event which not only excites the students, but the teachers as well. It is an important day for the students, as it gives them a chance to recognize the efforts put in by their teachers to ensure that they get proper education and ethics in life. Likewise, the teachers also await the Teachers’ Day celebration, as their efforts get acknowledged and honoured by their students.

But why is it important to celebrate Teachers’ Day?

Teaching is considered to be the most sacred and noble professions of all, as teachers are the ones to craft the other professions.

Teachers have the ability to change the students’ life for the better. Teaching is a tough job; however, it is that one job where you can make the optimum impact on another person’s life.

However, we often tend to forget the importance teachers have in our lives. So, on this day you make them realize how important they are in your life along with this you appreciate their existence, their efforts and their guidance.

How to appreciate your teachers or students in your teachers' day speech

Not only students, but teachers also express their views to the students because their profession is nothing without their students.

If you are looking for tips on how you can draft a heart touching speech for teachers’ day, don’t worry we’ve got some suggestions for you (teacher or student).

But remember, the only key to give a heartwarming speech is Authenticity.

importance of being authentic or genuine in your teachers' day speech

Tips to Remember Before you Draft your Teachers’ Day Speech:

1)  appreciate, do not exaggerate.

When you give a speech on occasions like teachers’ day, it demands you to be authentic while sharing your experiences or showing gratitude. Being authentic will help you make your speech pure and impressive at the same time.

Try to articulate your feelings in the simplest form which will make your speech sound genuine.

Exaggeration in a speech might make you lose your credibility, making it sound unreal.

In case of students giving a speech for their teachers, you can appreciate their efforts, praise them, or the way in which they helped you garner knowledge, improve your skills, grow confidence as well as to help you choose the right path to success.

In short, when thinking about the best way to thank your teacher/s, consider what exceptional they did or above their call of duty? How did they inspire you or change your thinking? Did they inspire some new academic avocation or activity? What skills will you hold dear in future?

You are basically trying to acknowledge the efforts that your teachers have put in. So try and make your acknowledgement sound genuine and speak from your heart and not just for the sake of saying it.

In case of teachers giving a speech on teachers’ day, you can talk more on the lines of how your students have been motivating you or how happy you are to see their efforts to do better everyday, for instance, showing their interests in the extracurricular activities or competitions.

Pro tip- Do not overdo it, for instance over praising your teachers or students, the listeners will understand it is not coming from your heart.

2) Dedicate your Thoughts

The speaker should be expressive about one’s emotions. Your speech is dedicated to the event of Teachers’ day, so everything you speak has to support the event.

For students giving a speech on teachers’ day, the speaker can dedicate the speech mainly to acknowledge his teachers, communicate gratitude towards them and applaud them for being a beacon of light in their lives.

For teachers giving a speech on teachers’ day, you can talk more about why it is celebrated, the importance of a teacher in a student’s life, what motivates you to be a teacher.

3) The PURPOSE should be at the Heart of your Speech

One thing you need to bear in your mind is the purpose of your speech. Purpose means, why is the speech drafted or for what are you drafting the speech.

For instance, in case of students , the speech is drafted for your teachers in order to pay them a tribute or acknowledge their efforts.

Similarly, in case of teachers , your speech is drafted for the students as well the fellow teachers, so your purpose of talking would be the joy you experience while teaching or guiding your students or expressing your gratitude for the efforts the students have taken to make your day special.

Therefore, your speech needs to revolve much around teachers’ day, so that you don’t deviate from the purpose of your speech.

4) Duration of the Speech

The goal of any speaker is to make his speech memorable and at the same time the one which has a long-lasting impact.

While drafting your speech, try to keep it short and sweet, as it is more likely to hold your audiences’ attention. It also forces you to say what you mean and nothing more. Meaning, you will cover only those points that are central to your message or speech.

Stick to your topic and then draft your speech accordingly – use as few words as possible and limited anecdotes to retain your audiences’ attention without sacrificing the essential information.

Make sure the points you want to make come out clearly.

We’ve written an article on How to Deliver a 1 Minute Speech: Tips, Examples, Topics & More . Check it out to get some tips on how you can deliver a short speech.

After keeping in mind these few suggestions, the next step would be to organize your content, so that your speech flows smoothly.

Here’s an article on How to make your speech flow smoothly . You can review this article to get a better understanding regarding the same.

In order to give a clear and a structured speech, your speech needs to be divided into three parts, mainly- Introduction, Body and Conclusion.

How to Organize your Teachers’ Day Speech?

1) introduction.

An introduction can be best considered as the foundation of your speech. Just as you can’t build a building without forming its base, you cannot build your speech until and unless you don’t introduce your topic.

Introducing your topic will help you gain the audiences’ attention because you’re revealing the purpose of you standing in front of them.

The goal is to start your speech with impact and to do this, you can start by telling a story or a quote, or by asking an interesting question.

Here’s an article that we’ve written on various storytelling approaches that you can consider for your next speech.

You can start your speech with, say like a story or a quote and then connect it to the occasion of Teachers’ day or teachers in general.

For instance, a student can start his speech with a hypothetical situation, supposing a life without a teacher and then connect it to being thankful for having them in your life as torch bearers.

A teacher can start her speech by expressing her gratitude towards the program that has been organized for them along with a few lines regarding why is teachers’ day celebrated

To start your speech with a bang, you can review the article that we wrote on 15 powerful speech opening lines and how to create your own.

After choosing an impactful opening remark, the next part would be the body of your speech.

Oftentimes, more importance is given to the opening and closing remarks and everything in between is considered to be filler. This should not be the case because the body of a speech is where you offer the evidence or data to support your main message.

Taking the previous example in case of students , you can actually start expressing your gratitude towards them, recognize their efforts, explain their importance in your life, and much more.

In case of teachers , you can build your speech on the basis of how your students motivate you or how you feel about teaching as a profession, or what joy you experience while teaching.

3) Conclusion

The conclusion of your speech should restate your main message.

You basically summarize the main points of your speech which will help you to create a long-lasting impression in the minds of your audience.

You can end your speech in much the same way you began- with a story, quotation, or a question.

In case of students ending their Teachers’ day speech, you can thank your teachers for being an essential part of your journey.

In case of teachers ending their Teachers’ day speech, they can provide a bunch of advice to their students.

We have a few suggestions or tips on Ways to end your speech with maximum impact .

To make this simple, here are some points that you can cover while drafting your speech.

4 Points Students can cover in their Teachers’ Day Speech :

  • Teacher’s importance in your life
  • Acknowledge their efforts that they have put in for you
  • You can highlight the significance of teachers’ day
  • Express your gratitude towards them

Sample Speech by Students for their Teachers

Education without teachers is like a body without a soul.  “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instill a love of learning” , says Brad Henry. Let’s pick the first keyword over here – ‘HOPE’. A teacher is capable of returning the lost light in a student’s life. Therefore, teachers are the torch bearers who show us the path of success and walk us through the entire path until we achieve something. Today we all have gathered here to celebrate the presence of those unsung heroes without whom no profession would have existed, our teachers. It is said that parents give birth to a child, but it is the Teacher who makes sure that the child is not only raised as a tough individual, but also as an ideal citizen. We students have sometimes made it so difficult for a teacher to survive, especially if we personally find a subject boring, but it is the teacher who has made us learn a lesson which is To Never Give Up. Even if we are disrespectful, intolerant, and sometimes cross all our limits of being bearable, she still continues to motivate us.  What a teacher writes on the blackboard of life can never be erased. The values, the skills and the life lessons taught by them are something we all will hold dear in our lives. You are the reason behind our dreams and our farsightedness. You have prepared us to become the fittest and the finest individuals. Without your presence we wouldn’t have learnt how to dream. Thank you for guiding us when we were wrong and being on your toes to get the best out of us, we all are very grateful to have you all as our teachers. I would like to conclude my speech through a short poem called Teachers by Kevin William Huff that summarizes the role of a teacher in a student’s life. Teachers Inspire a love of knowledge and truth As you light the path which leads our youth For our future brightens with each lesson your teach Each smile you lengthen Each goal you help reach For the dawn of each poet, each philosopher and king Begins with a teacher And the wisdom they bring

“There’s no word in the language I revere more than teacher. My heart sings when a kid refers to me as his teacher, and it always has. I’ve honored myself and the entire family of man by becoming a teacher.”  —Pat Conroy, Author It is said that Teachers have got their designation because of the existence of students, who are taught lessons for life. Welcoming the Principal, my fellow teachers and my dear students. It gives me immense pleasure to thank each and every student present here for putting up such a lovely program. We teachers feel highly privileged to have students like you all, so I would like to dedicate this day to all our students. Teaching for me is one of those careers, where you learn something new every day as well as impart knowledge and skills to train individuals and make them ready to face the real world. We really appreciate all the support that you’ve been giving us over the years and continuously reminding us about the value of our work and our potential to impact your lives for the greater good. In short, your support helps us remain mindful of our ultimate purpose and hold on to the passion that fuels our fire.  This special day reminds me of my own gurus and their impact on my life. I remember one of my teachers telling me this, “Beyond the undone and unseen lies the unachieved.” Meaning, to do something that nobody has done or seen and that’s when you will achieve what nobody has. To achieve something extraordinary you need to conquer the 3 D’s- Desire, Determination and Discipline.  Desire means being passionate about something you love.  Determination refers to being dedicated towards something that you are passionate about. Discipline refers to practicing what you are determined about. As teachers, we strongly believe it is our key responsibility to dig in the foundation to construct pillars of great strength. And I truly appreciate the efforts all the teachers have been putting in so as to achieve this. Before I sign off for the day I would like to give you all a piece of advice. Each one of you is different, each one of you has a different caliber, challenge yourself and chase your dreams. There will be a time in your life when you might fail, but don’t give up. Your success lies without your level of patience. Do great for the society and help everyone possible. Never take your profession on your head because at first, you have to be a good human before becoming a good professional. Hence, I proudly say teaching for me is sacred and I revere teaching as a profession.

Simple actions such as writing a heartfelt note, volunteering to help with classroom tasks, or participating in school events can go a long way in recognizing and supporting teachers.

Building a culture of appreciation not only benefits individual teachers but also fosters a sense of community within the school.

By consistently showing appreciation and support, we can empower teachers to thrive and inspire future generations with their dedication and passion.

Here’s an example of a great teacher appreciation speech.

Your dedication extends far beyond the walls of any classroom, reaching deep into the hearts and minds of those you teach. Today, I wish to celebrate you with words that mirror our collective admiration, starting with a poem that echoes our sentiments:

Your words, your lessons, and your care forge the legacy of your influence, a legacy that transcends time and space.

Every day, you paint the world with the colors of wisdom and truth, guiding us with patience and understanding, and illuminating the path of learning with the light of your knowledge. Your commitment to education is not just a profession but a profound calling, a dedication to shaping the architects of tomorrow and the guardians of a brighter future.

As we stand here in admiration of your unwavering dedication, let us acknowledge that the true essence of teaching is not to fill minds with data but to ignite the spark of understanding and the flame of passion. You have mastered this art with grace, imparting lessons that endure far beyond the final bell.

In closing, let this moment be a testament to our heartfelt appreciation for the countless ways you enrich our lives. Your influence shapes not just the intellect but the very spirit of those you teach, igniting a fire of learning that burns brightly within us all.

Thank you, dear teachers, for every moment, every lesson, and every memory. Your legacy is not just in the minds you’ve enlightened but in the lives you’ve inspired. We are all better for having known you, and our gratitude is as boundless as the knowledge you share.

Speech on Teacher’s Day (500 Words, 5 Minutes Speech)

गुरुर्ब्रह्माग्रुरुर्विष्णुःगुरुर्देवोमहेश्वरः।

गुरुःसाक्षात्परंब्रह्मतस्मैश्रीगुरवेनमः।।

Good Morning! Honorable Principal sir, director sir, teachers, chief guests, and my dear friends. I am Jagdish Rathor and I study in class 10 th . It’s an honour and a huge pleasure for me to be standing here today. On this special occasion, I want to say few words on behalf of our respected teachers, who are thought of as the backbone of our society. Today is Teacher’s Day, which is a celebration of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday. He was one of the best teachers our nation has ever had. He was also India’s second president. Dr. Radhakrishnan told that it would be a great honor for him if they didn’t celebrate his birthday on September 5 but instead made it Teachers’ Day. This really shows how much he cared about teaching and how much he wanted to honor all teachers.

We all know that the word “teacher” is hard to describe. It’s not easy to be a teacher, because they have to teach students all day without sitting down, figuring out their strengths and weaknesses, and then work on them in the right way. Teachers don’t just shape the lives of the students they teach, but also the lives of the whole generation. Teaching is more than just a good job. It’s also one of the greatest contributions to mankind. A teacher is an intellectual and spiritual guide, and they help their students so that they can spread their wings and fly. They give us the strength to get through life’s hard times. They help us turn our raw potential into beautiful realities. They plant the seeds of knowledge, grow our skills, and give us the power to become the best versions of ourselves. In addition to giving us knowledge, teachers also teach us essential values and qualities that shape us. They teach us how important it is to be honest and have ethics, to respect others, and to never give up. They make us want to dream big, follow our interests, and keep going even when things get hard.

Teacher’s Day is a good time to tell our teachers how much we appreciate them and how important they are to us. Without them, our lives would be useless. As we celebrate Teachers’ Day today, let’s thank the teachers who have made a difference in our lives. Let’s appreciate the pleasure of remembering how hard they worked to make their lessons interesting, how patiently they answered all of our questions, and how much they cared about us when we needed it the most. I bow my head and thank them from the bottom of my heart, now and always. Have a happy teacher’s day! Last but not least, I’d like to end my speech with a quote from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam: “The goal of education is to make good people who are skilled and knowledgeable. Teachers can help people become more enlightened.” Thank you to all of my teachers, who have always shown us the way and been there for us.

Practical tips for crafting an effective Best Teacher’s Day Speech

Teachers are the backbone of our society, nurturing and molding young minds to become responsible and productive members of society. As such, it is important to recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication that they put into their profession. One of the most effective ways to do so is by delivering a heartfelt and memorable Teachers’ Day Speech.

Crafting a good Teachers’ Day Speech can seem daunting, but with the right mindset and approach, anyone can deliver a speech that resonates with their audience.

Here are some practical tips to help you write the best Teachers’ Day Speech:

Start with Preparation

Before you start writing your speech, take some time to gather your thoughts and prepare an outline. Identify the key points that you want to cover and the message you want to convey. It is important to have a clear idea of what you want to say and how you want to say it.

Organise the Speech

It is essential to organize your speech to ensure that it flows logically and is easy to follow. Start with an introduction that captures the audience’s attention, briefly introduce yourself and the purpose of the speech. In the body of the speech, express your gratitude, highlight your teacher’s contributions, and share personal anecdotes. In the conclusion, summarise your thoughts and reiterate your appreciation.

Duration of the Speech

When delivering a Teachers’ Day speech, it is crucial to keep it brief and to the point. An ideal Teachers’ Day speech should not exceed 10 minutes. This ensures that your speech is engaging and memorable, without being too long and tedious.

Express your gratitude to your teacher for their dedication, hard work, and contribution towards your growth and development. Highlight specific examples of how your teacher has impacted your life, both academically and personally.

Do Not Exaggerate

While it’s essential to acknowledge your teacher’s efforts, it’s crucial not to exaggerate. Be sincere and truthful in your speech, and avoid making false statements or claims.

Do Not Undermine the Purpose of the Speech

Keep in mind the purpose of the Teachers’ Day speech – to express your gratitude and appreciation. Avoid any negative comments or criticisms and stay focused on the positive aspects.

Dedicate Your Thoughts

When crafting your Teachers’ Day speech, take the time to reflect on your teacher’s impact on your life. Dedicate your thoughts and emotions to ensure that your speech is authentic and heartfelt.

Incorporate Humor and Emotion

Incorporating humor and emotion into your speech can make it more engaging and memorable. Use personal anecdotes, metaphors, and analogies to make your speech relatable and impactful. However, ensure that the humor is appropriate and does not undermine the purpose of the speech.

Use Personal Anecdotes

A good speech is one that connects with the audience on a personal level. Share personal anecdotes or stories that showcase the impact that teachers have had on your life. This will help you establish an emotional connection with your audience and make your speech more memorable.

Be Unconventional

While there are some standard conventions for a Teachers’ Day Speech, don’t be afraid to break the mold and try something new. Perhaps you can incorporate a poem, a song, or a visual aid to make your speech more memorable.

Practice, Practice, Practice

Once you have written your speech, practice delivering it multiple times. This will help you become more comfortable with the material and ensure that you deliver a polished and confident speech.

By following these tips and incorporating your own unique style, you can craft a speech that celebrates and honors the hard work and dedication of teachers everywhere. Remember to speak from the heart, and your message will resonate with your audience for years to come.

After guiding your child to write a well-crafted Teachers’ Day Speech, the next step is to help them practice and deliver it with confidence. Here are some tips to ensure your child’s speech is not only impressive but also emotionally touching:

  • Practice, Practice, Practice: Encourage your child to rehearse their speech in front of a mirror or with family and friends. This will help them overcome stage fright and build their confidence.
  • Focus on Intonation and Voice Modulation: The tone of voice and modulation can make or break a speech. Encourage your child to practice speaking in a clear, confident, and emotive tone. Teach them to emphasize important words, phrases, and expressions to make their speech more impactful.
  • Maintain a Moderate Rate of Speech: Your child should speak at a pace that is neither too fast nor too slow. Speaking too fast may cause the audience to miss important points, while speaking too slowly can make the speech boring and uninteresting.
  • Use a Pleasing Pitch: Your child’s pitch should be pleasing to the ear. Teach them to speak with a tone that is neither too high nor too low. This will make their speech more engaging and interesting to listen to.
  • Engage the Audience with Presentation: Encourage your child to use appropriate gestures and body language to complement their speech. This will help them connect with the audience and keep them engaged throughout the speech.
  • Maintain Eye Contact: Your child should maintain eye contact with the audience while delivering their speech. This will make them appear confident and sincere.

By following these tips, your child can deliver an impressive and touching speech that will leave their teachers feeling appreciated and valued.

How to Prepare Your Child for the Speech

Preparing your child for a speech can be a daunting task, but with the right approach, it can be an enjoyable experience for both you and your child. Whether your child is giving a speech for a school assembly or a special occasion like Teacher’s Day, here are some tips to help them prepare and deliver an outstanding speech.

  • Start Early: It’s important to give your child enough time to prepare their speech. This will allow them to research the topic, organize their thoughts, and practice their delivery. Encourage your child to start working on their speech at least a week in advance.
  • Understand the Audience: Before your child starts writing their speech, it’s important to understand the audience they will be speaking to. This will help them tailor their speech to the interests and expectations of the listeners.
  • Practice, Practice, Practice: Once your child has written their speech, encourage them to practice it several times. This will help them feel more confident and comfortable with their delivery. You can also practice with them by giving feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Intonation and Voice Modulation: Encourage your child to practice their intonation and voice modulation. This will help them to add emphasis to important points and create a more engaging delivery. A monotone delivery can quickly lose the attention of the audience.
  • Moderate Rate of Speech: Encourage your child to speak at a moderate rate. Speaking too fast can cause the audience to lose track of what’s being said, while speaking too slow can cause them to lose interest.
  • Use Personal Anecdotes: Encourage your child to include personal anecdotes in their speech. This will help them connect with the audience on a deeper level and make their speech more memorable.
  • Incorporate Humor: Humor is a great way to engage the audience and make the speech more entertaining. Encourage your child to include appropriate humor in their speech.
  • Keep it Short and Simple: Encourage your child to keep their speech short and to the point. A long, rambling speech can quickly lose the interest of the audience.
  • Use Visual Aids: If appropriate, encourage your child to use visual aids to support their speech. This can include slides, pictures, or props that help to illustrate their points.
  • Be Confident: Finally, encourage your child to be confident in their delivery. Remind them that they have worked hard to prepare their speech and that they have important things to share with the audience. With the right preparation and mindset, your child can deliver a successful and memorable speech.
  • Encourage them to practice in front of a mirror: This will help them to work on their facial expressions and body language, which are important aspects of delivering a great speech.
  • Record their practice sessions: By recording their practice sessions, your child can listen to themselves and identify areas where they need to improve, such as intonation, pacing, or clarity.
  • Provide constructive feedback: When listening to your child’s practice sessions, be sure to offer constructive feedback that will help them improve their speech. Focus on specific areas where they can improve, and be sure to offer praise for what they’re doing well.
  • Help them to memorize the speech: While it’s not necessary for your child to memorize their entire speech, it’s a good idea for them to memorize the opening and closing lines, as well as any important points they want to make.
  • Practice with an audience: Encourage your child to practice their speech in front of a small audience, such as family members or close friends. This will help them to get used to speaking in front of others and build their confidence.
  • Remind them to breathe: Before your child begins their speech, remind them to take a deep breath and exhale slowly. This will help to calm their nerves and steady their voice.
  • Dress appropriately: Encourage your child to dress appropriately for the occasion. This will help them to feel confident and professional, which will shine through in their speech.

Remember, the most important thing is to help your child feel confident and prepared for their Teacher’s Day speech. With your guidance and support, they’ll be able to deliver a speech that is heartfelt, meaningful, and impactful.

Final Thoughts: Empower Your Child to Give an Unforgettable Speech on Teacher’s Day

First of all, it’s important to remember that every child is unique and has their own strengths and weaknesses. Some children may feel more comfortable speaking in front of an audience than others, but with the right guidance and practice, every child can improve their communication skills and deliver a meaningful speech.

Good morning to one and all. Today is an auspicious occassion where we get a chance to acknowledge the hardwork of the teachers who mould the students into future leaders. This day is known as the “Teachers’ Day” which is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the second president of Independent India, who himself was a teacher, philosopher and educationist.

Teachers are the pillars of a country. They guide and shape the destiny of the students. They teach them to become better human beings. They are the reason behind the successful career of a student. Teachers like S.Radhakrishnan and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam are some of the renowned names that have given meaning to the word “teacher”.

Teachers are not necessarily present only in schools. Everyone around us teaches something or the other. The greatest of all teachers is ‘life’ that teaches us the art of survival. Parents are our prime most teachers. Our friends, nature, animals, our mistakes, everything is a teacher in some form or the other. Today is the day to honour all of them.

I take privilege in wishing all our mentors in the school and across the country a very happy teachers’ day. Teachers are a blessing in disguise. Long Speech on Teachers Day 500 Words in English

Good morning respected Principal Sir, teachers and dear students. Today we have gathered here to honour and acknowledge the hard work and contributions of teachers throughout the world.

Educating people is one of the greatest jobs one can do. The profession of teaching exists since time immemorial. In olden times, there was the gurukul system of teaching where the students left their homes to stay with the sages in the forest. They educated the students for years who returned to their homes after several years of training. These sages were worshipped by the students and their parents like they worshipped God. Since then, a teacher is placed next to God.

The teaching system had been modified over the years and today we see a large number of educational institutions running across the country. Teaching is the greatest act of optimism. It is one such profession that creates all other professions. Great teachers like Sir Radhakrishnan and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam are an inspiration to all of us.

5th September is celebrated as “ Teachers’ Day ” throughout the country since the year 1962 on the birth anniversary of Dr. S. When he became the President of India, few of his students requested to let them celebrate his birthday on 5th September. On this, he asked them to celebrate the day as “Teachers’ Day” and not just as his birthday. This would make him happier and even more proud. Ever since. the day is celebrated as “Teachers’ Day”.

Everything and everyone around us teach something or the other. Our prime education begins at home. As we grow and meet people, we learn from them. Experience and mistakes are our greatest teachers. They teach us how to handle situations and survive in this world. I had been fortunate enough to have been taught by such wonderful teachers who had helped me transform into a better person.

Sample Speech #1

Respected teachers and dear friends!

Very good morning to all of you. Today, on the special occasion of Teachers’ Day, we are here to celebrate and pay a hearty tribute to our very dear teachers, who tirelessly work to ensure that they provide the best education to their students, as we are the nation’s future.

Teachers’ Day is celebrated on September 5 every year with lots of joy, happiness, and enthusiasm. Today is the birth anniversary of Doctor Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a great scholar and teacher. He was also the second President of our country. Students across the country observe this day as Teachers’ Day to pay respect to their teachers, who play a big role in building the character of students and are the undeniable backbone of society.

It would not be wrong to say that teachers are equal to our parents. They teach us selflessly and treat us as their own children. Parents give birth to a child, while teachers shape the personality of that child, and they constantly try to help a child evolve into a good human being. So, as students, we should always respect and love them. Teachers are the source of inspiration. They motivate us, nourish our young minds with knowledge, give us strength and prepare us to face the obstacles in life.

Teachers are, therefore, a blessing for us in many ways. Let’s pledge today to always respect our teachers, obey them and follow their advice to be worthy citizens. On this day, I want to thank all my teachers for guiding me whenever I needed you.

A big thanks to all of you!

Respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends!

Good morning to one and all! We are here today to celebrate the honourable occasion of Teachers’ Day. This day gives us the opportunity to celebrate and express our gratitude to our teachers. September 5 commemorates the birth anniversary of our former President, Doctor Radhakrishnan, who was not only a political figure but also a teacher in the true sense.

Hence, his birthday is the perfect day to express our love and appreciation to our teachers for their valuable contribution in shaping the future of tomorrow. Teachers not only impart knowledge, but they also shape the personalities of children. Teachers give children hope to dream, they guide and support students in achieving their goal. They enrich the quality of education and tirelessly work towards making it even better. Hence they are a perennial source of inspiration and motivation. Teachers do deserve this tribute and gratitude for the million ways in which they touch the lives of the students.

As a student, I cannot thank you enough. Whatever I will say will be less because no amount of words can suffice how much you all mean to me and other students. To all the teachers, who have taught me, thank you for guiding me whenever I needed you. To all the teachers present here, thank you all for your genuine efforts, patience, and positive encouragement. Today, I express my heartfelt gratitude to you. Lastly, I want to end this speech with a quote by Ever Garrison, dedicated to all the teachers, “A teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in pupils.”

Thank you for always supporting us.

Sample Speech #3

Very good morning to all of you!

We are gathered here to celebrate Teachers’ Day! I am given this opportunity to give a speech on Teachers’ Day, express my thoughts and thank all the teachers who have influenced me to learn and lead a better life.

I will begin with a quote. In the words of Brad Henry, “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instil a love of learning.”

This wonderful thought suffices the importance of teachers in our lives. It is my honour to deliver a speech on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. Since 1962, Teachers’ Day is celebrated on the 5th of September every year in India. This day is the birth anniversary of Doctor Radhakrishnan, who was an outstanding scholar, a teacher who changed several lives, and the second President of India.

Teachers have a special place in our hearts. Although parents contribute a lot to bring us up in the right manner, it is the teachers who awaken our hearts with the light of knowledge and remove the darkness of ignorance. Teachers inspire us to think about a better future and teach us to withstand the obstacles we may face in our lives. They bring out hidden talents and creativity and also impart immense knowledge.

Since teachers lay the foundation of knowledge and education in every child’s life, they deserve gratitude and regard for all the things they keep doing selflessly. On behalf of all the students present here, I want to tell you all that you have been the epitome of strength and a pillar of support. Your immense contribution has made us what we are today. Teachers readily accept all students wholeheartedly without any bias. No matter how much I say will be less. So, I would like to conclude by thanking all the teachers and Principal on behalf of all my fellow students. Thank you for being an indispensable part of our lives.

Thank you so much!

Sample Speech #4

“With a special gift for learning And with a heart that deeply cares, You add a lot of love To everything you share. And even though You mean a lot, You’ll never know how much, For you helped To change the world Through every life, you touched.”

I would like to wish all the teachers and the Principal a very happy Teachers’ Day!

These lovely lines of the poem I recited are by Joanna Fuchs. This poem brings the image of my favourite teacher to my mind. All my friends must have also recalled their own favourite teachers. This is a special day when students across the country celebrate, pay respect and express gratitude to their teachers, who are the backbone of our country. It is a well-known fact that every year Teachers’ Day is celebrated on the 5th of September in memory of Doctor Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was the second President of India and a teacher par excellence. This day is special and important as teachers are felicitated in recognition of their contribution to the field of education.

Many relations exist, but the relation and understanding between a teacher and a student, or shall I say a disciple, is beyond every other relation. Teachers and students are not bound by blood, yet it is teachers who feel extremely proud of the achievements of their students. They genuinely feel happy to hear about every milestone their students achieved. It is the tireless efforts of teachers that make success possible. The world knows the greatness of a teacher through his students. It is only a teacher who can transform a mediocre student into a successful one.

On this special occasion, I appeal to all my friends to join me in appreciating the efforts of the teachers and assuring them that they will always occupy a special place in our hearts. On behalf of all the students, I would like to thank all the teachers who gave us hope to become something in life. We cannot repay what you have done for us, we can only thank you for your efforts. Thank you so much for teaching us and for bearing with us when we shout. We promise to be good students, and one day all of us will make you proud.

Thank you all!

Sample Speech #5

Very good morning to the respected Principal, teachers, and my friends!

On this special occasion of Teachers’ Day, and on behalf of all the students present here, I want to present a short speech to acknowledge, thank, appreciate and honour the amazing work done by our teachers. As you all know, Teachers’ Day in India is observed on September 5th, the birth anniversary of the second president of India, Doctor Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was an excellent teacher who believed that teachers should be the best minds in the country. In India, we have been celebrating Teachers’ Day since 1962 to celebrate and honour this great leader who has inspired millions.

Teachers are an important part of the lives of students. No student becomes a great student without the help of his teachers. They endow us with knowledge, believe in us and make us pursue our dreams. We never thank our teachers enough the way we should. We never realise the importance of our teachers in our lives. Teachers make us what we are! Just imagine for a moment what our lives would have been had we not had the teachers we have today—all these teachers who have guided us with patience right from the start! Right from the beginning, teachers play an important role in our lives. And we simply cannot imagine our lives without you. A big thank you to all the teachers present here for teaching us with patience, for showing faith in us when we did not believe in ourselves, and for encouraging us to participate in debate competitions when we said we had stage fright. It is because of you that today, I am standing in front of you and expressing my heartfelt gratitude.

All the students present here are grateful to all of you. We promise to make you proud someday!

Sample Speech #6

Good morning to respected principal ma’am, teachers and students. On this beautiful occasion of Teacher’s Day, we have gathered to celebrate the hard work of our teachers, who are considered to be the second parents of a child’s life.

Our teachers teach us well and try their best to share their knowledge with us. We can never thank our teacher’s enough for their gift to us.

In India, teacher’s day in India is celebrated on September 5th every year. It is celebrated to remind the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. The celebration of teacher’s day started first in 1962, on the auspicious occasion of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday. He was a great teacher and the second president of India. The celebration began when some of his students and friend requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday on September 5th. He said, “instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be a proud privilege if September 5th is observed as teacher’s day”.

We are all thankful to all our teachers for being in our lives and teaching us with love and guidance. Your guidance and blessings will always be with us.

Wishing you all a very good morning. I want to speak a few words on this auspicious occasion of Teachers’ Day. Let’s start by wishing all our beloved and respected teachers a very Happy Teachers’ Day! Because of your faith, dedication, and hard work, we, as students, learn and evolve to be the best versions of ourselves. He was also the second-ever President of India and a well-known scholar. Dr. Radhakrishnan, with a passion for teaching, was also awarded the Bharat Ratna. It is said that once when some of his students approached him and asked to celebrate his birthday, Dr. Radhakrishnan simply told them that he would be much honoured if instead of celebrating 5th September as his birthday, they commemorated it as Teachers’ Day. This incident truly shows us how much he was dedicated to the noble teaching profession and passionate about respecting all the teachers everywhere. Thus, every year, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary marks the Teachers’ Day celebration.

Teachers’ Day in school holds an extraordinary place in our hearts. As students, we get the opportunity to plan special performances to honour our respected teachers. This day is full of excitement, fun, and many activities for all the students. I shall now end by wishing all our wonderful teachers a Happy Teacher’s Day, and we hope you enjoy what we have planned for you today!

Teachers Day Speech in 100 words

Teachers hold a very special place in the lives of students. Their role in shaping the future of the nation and guiding them to become ideal citizens cannot be overlooked. In order to pay respect to your guide, guru, mentor or educator, follow the tips given below to draft an awesome speech:

1. Organise the Speech

A good speech should have an organised structure. The content should be well arranged even if the speech is informal or personal. Your child should have enough inputs about his teachers to organise the speech systematically. The format of a speech includes an introduction, a middle, and an end. Think about what he would like to talk about in each section. This preparation will also help your child organise the speech.

2. Duration of the Speech

When drafting a speech, there is no harm in expressing one’s thoughts and reciting innuendos, but the speech should be kept short. A well-drafted speech should be short and sweet, the impact of which should be thought-provoking and long-lasting. Dull and imposing speeches can never give the audience a memorable time.

3. Appreciate, Do Not Exaggerate

A touching and impressive speech can be adorned with relevant quotes or some lines from a poem. Articulate your thoughts and feelings in the simplest form. Praise your teachers, talk about the instances when they helped you, but don’t overdo it, lest they will understand that it is not coming from your heart.

4. Do Not Undermine the Purpose of the Speech

A speech should be informative and inspirational. While delivering a speech on Teachers’ Day, do not forget to pay tribute to your favourite teacher. You can give examples and innuendos, but do not forget the heart of the speech. It is your teachers, who should be the focus of the speech. Bear that in mind.

5. Dedicate Your Thoughts

The speaker should have the flair and be expressive to flaunt one’s emotions in a speech. The speaker should dedicate the speech to communicate gratitude to the teachers, acknowledge their diligence and applaud them for the role they play in a student’s life.

After helping your child write the speech, is now time to make him practice it before the event. Here are a few points that will help your child prepare and deliver an impressive yet touching speech on Teachers’ Day.

6. Intonation and Voice Modulation

The speech should sound just as heartwarming as it is written. Voice modulation helps express emotions the way they are supposed to. Practice intonation and modulate your voice to highlight the mark your teachers have made in your life.

7. Moderate Rate of Speech

The rate of speech or the speed of talking is another important factor that will add value to the speech. So make sure you make your child practise speech at a moderate rate. The rate of speech will also help your child remember the speech well and modulate his voice.

8. Pleasing Pitch

This is another important factor that affects speech. A pleasing pitch will hold the teachers’ attention and make it easier for you to share your message. Do make sure your child practices the speech in a pitch that sounds pleasing as well as vibrant.

9. Presentation

Ensure your child dresses his best on the day he is supposed to deliver the speech. Since all eyes will be on him, his uniform should be clean and ironed, his hair should be in place, and his shoes well-polished.

10. Engage the Audience with Eye Contact

Maintaining eye contact is crucial for connecting with the audience and delivering an impactful speech. Encourage your child to look at the teachers and fellow students during the speech. This not only boosts confidence but also shows respect and sincerity.

Teachers' Day Speech practise - Mother helping daughter

It is not an easy task to prepare a child to deliver a 2 minute speech on Teachers’ Day in English. However, with proper planning and preparation, you can help your child deliver the best speech on Teachers’ Day.

1. Demonstrate

Teach your child how to deliver the speech by making him watch you deliver it with proper voice modulation. Ensure you have appropriate body language also, as the child will pick it up when he is delivering the speech.

2. Listen When Your Child Practises the Speech

Let your child memorise the content and practise many times so that he feels confident. Avoid stopping the speech in between, as it will break your child’s flow and stress him out. Listen patiently and share your inputs in the end. Also, if your child is ready to go over it again, ensure you encourage him instead of stopping him.

3. Practice in Front of a Mirror

Your child will learn to adjust his body language and facial expressions by practising in front of a mirror. So, ensure that he practices enough in front of a mirror and you will see an improvement. This trick will also help your child get rid of the initial hesitation or fear of delivering the speech.

Practice in Front of a Mirror

4. Gather an Audience

Once your child has mastered the speech, let him speak in front of his friends or at a gathering. This will give him the confidence to speak in front of many people.

5. Appreciate Your Child

Once your child masters the speech, ask him to deliver it. If he speaks confidently without making any mistakes, applaud him. Your praise will make him feel confident, and he will know that he is ready!

1. What are some creative ways to celebrate Teachers’ Day virtually?

In the digital age, celebrating Teachers’ Day virtually has become increasingly popular. Creative ideas include organizing a virtual talent show where students can showcase their skills in honor of their teachers, creating a collaborative digital thank-you card where each student adds a personalized message, or even setting up a surprise video call with students expressing their gratitude individually. Another idea is to curate a playlist of songs dedicated to teachers and share it during an online celebration.

2. How can students involve their parents in celebrating Teachers’ Day?

Students can involve their parents by organizing a joint celebration at home. This could include parents helping their children to prepare a special meal or dessert to share with teachers during a class celebration, creating handmade gifts or crafts together, or even recording a family video message of thanks. Parents can also participate in virtual events or help plan surprise activities for teachers.

3. Can Teachers’ Day be celebrated beyond the classroom?

Absolutely! Teachers’ Day can extend beyond the classroom through community activities. For example, students can organize a tree-planting event in honor of their teachers, dedicate a community service project to them, or host a public art display featuring drawings and messages of gratitude. Local businesses can also get involved by offering discounts or special offers to teachers in recognition of their hard work.

Teachers play a major role in shaping the minds of children. They inspire, motivate, influence, and encourage students to think differently. Hence, children should not hesitate to pay tribute to their teachers. And, a speech is the best way to convey your thoughts! With these tips and speech samples, you can help your child draft and deliver a remarkable speech on teachers’ day.

Teacher's Day Speech by Students In English - Teacher's Day speech is given by students on 5th September to celebrate the mentors and teachers who contribute to forming young minds and the next generation. This is an honorary tradition that started in the year 1962 on Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary, he was the 2nd president of our country and a great philosopher, mentor, and a teacher. In this article, the importance of 5th September is explained in detail in the form of a Long and a Short Speech on Teachers' Day.

Happy Teachers Day

Long Speech on Teacher’s Day

Long Speech on Teachers' Day in English for students is helpful for students in grades 7-12. Let's look at the speech.

Greetings to everyone gathered here!

On the occasion of Teacher's Day respected teachers, and my dear friends I ABC (your name) welcome you here as we acknowledge and appreciate the work our teachers put in.

When we think about the first teacher in our lives, the first person that comes to mind is our parents'. They are our teachers at home who teach us how to live. Then we go to school for formal education and meet our teachers who teach us various academic subjects and essential life skills. Teachers shape the young minds of our country and show them how to be good citizens. Today is the day to honour all of them in a small way.

Teacher's Day is celebrated around the world to appreciate the mentors in our lives on different days. In India, we celebrate this day on 5th September every year, in honour of the 2nd president of our country Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was born on the 5th of September 1962. Apart from being a revolutionary leader, he was also a great philosopher, teacher, and guide who has made a lasting impact on youth and on generations to come. When some of his beloved students wanted to celebrate his birthday, the humbled Dr. Radhakrishnan said, "Instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if September 5th is observed as Teachers' Day."

After all parents and teachers are the role models that children look up to and learn valuable skills in life. Our school teachers help us find our interests and nurture them into hobbies. They play a major role in guiding and encouraging our professional inclination at every stage with so much care and understanding. Teachers shape the destiny of student by guiding them and are the reason behind the successful career of a student.

Teaching is the profession from which comes all the other professions. Because our teachers find out about different opportunities available and make an informed choice about our careers. They help their students form opinions about important things like current realities and fight for justice for the underprivileged. Teachers are happier when their students evolve to be better and more successful than them. They create future minds and the society we will live in relies on them.

Teachers understand the minds of their students and teach them accordingly. They are so encouraging and always try to show the correct way to find a solution for any problem. Apart from giving academic knowledge, they also teach us moral values that we carry with us throughout our lives. Our teachers teach us how to be good sportsmen when we fail and enlighten us on the importance of making mistakes and learning from them. They help us realise the benefits of being a team player and respecting everyone around us. These are what serve as the groundwork for building a good personality.

Teaching someone is the greatest service a human being can offer to help another human being realise their full potential. Teaching since time immemorial has been through stories from our great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents. Even in our sacred texts such as the Mahabharata or the Quran, there are references to a teacher-student interaction where a sage or prophet imparts knowledge to their students. It is one of the holiest traditions of passing on the wealth of knowledge from one generation to another.

However, teaching as a profession came about when the Gurukul system was practised wherein the students went to study and learn from the rishis and sages. In the earlier days, the Gurus taught their students academic knowledge like science, Maths, and languages and taught a way of life. Right from the most basic cooking skills to martial arts and vocational skills like pottery and carpentry, to name a few. As the teaching profession evolved, we now have different teachers for each subject.

Appreciating teachers is so important because the work they do is selfless and often undervalued for their contribution. Even during the most challenging times of a worldwide pandemic , teachers worldwide rose to the challenge and made sure the future of their students was not harmed.

They adapted to the new ways of teaching online in such a short period, it is worth marvelling. Once again, teachers proved that they constantly put the needs of their students and their growth first. Many teachers also acted as a big support system for their students during the trying times of the coronavirus.

We are so honoured to have teachers like you, who have taught us so much about life and the importance of being a good human being. We are also grateful to you for being so kind and patient with us all along our faults and mischief.

To recognise your consistent efforts, we want to make this day memorable for all our teachers with the various activities that we have planned. There are many games organised, like musical chairs for teachers, skits performed by students, and stage performances by teachers as well as students. This is a small way of acknowledging the selfless work you put in for our bright future. We hope you have a great time today. Happy Teachers Day.

As you sit down to write your speech, have testimonials, and a list of qualities handy as a reference. Choose which thoughts or qualities work well to promote the teachers, then focus on those.

Appreciate Every Teacher Individually

Appreciate teachers because they are doing something that matters. You should start with a list of all the reasons you appreciate them. Then mention specific teaching styles that set them apart, such as “uses hands-on activities” or “engages students with an interactive lecture”.

Think about the individual teacher’s personality traits also, adding them to the speech. Also, think about the teacher’s achievements throughout his/her career. These will show how he/she has impacted the community.

Add Compelling Quotes for Teachers

Quotes from parents, students, or other teachers can add a lot to a speech. Ask them about their own experience working with the teacher. Bring your recorder or pen and paper so you can write down direct quotes and get permission before adding the quotes to the speech. Then, select two or three favorite quotes from students, faculty members, or parents and give full credit to the source.

Practice And Proofread

Read a speech out loud at least once before presenting it to the audience. Remember that pacing yourself is important. This can help you achieve the desired tone and give you an idea of the length of your Teachers Day Speech . Try to make an impression in time. Listen for grammar and structure while checking for the organization. Do not worry about how often you need to return to the writing desk. Your audience will register your confidence, and they’ll respond to it.

However, 5th October has been recognized as World Teacher’s Day since 1994. The day glorifies the teachers worldwide for their constant guidance and hard work in building the life of the students. Also, it tends to raise awareness about the role of teachers in creating a healthy society.

Teachers are the pillars of society. They are the building blocks of the nation’s future. They inspire us to bring about our best and serve the country. Without teachers, there is no lawyer, doctor, IAS officer, researcher, or astronaut. Teachers support us and guide us through our path towards a brighter future.

As it says, Life is the greatest teacher of all . Life teaches us the art of survival. Teachers are not only academic teachers. Our very first teachers are our parents, who teach us to walk, eat, and speak. Then comes nature, our friends , our siblings, and many others. Today is the day to acknowledge each teacher of our lives. They taught us how to fight and stand once again when we fail.

They help us in building our character and shape our personalities. They form those crucial stepping stones that ultimately guide us to the path of joy, happiness, and success.

Teachers inspire us to bring about the best in ourselves and serve the country. Without teachers, there is no lawyer, no doctor, no IAS officer, no scientist, and no astronaut. They support and guide us through our ways selflessly.

As it says, Life is the greatest teacher of all . Life teaches us the art of survival. Teachers are not only academic teachers. In fact, our very first teachers are our parents who teach us to walk, eat, and speak. Then comes nature, our friends, our siblings, and many others. Today is the day to acknowledge each teacher of our lives. They taught us how to fight and stand once again when we fail.

thank-you-teacher

On this auspicious occasion , I would like to quote, “ A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart. ” I, once again, extend my heartiest gratitude and respect to all the teachers who have helped in every step of our lives directly or indirectly. Thank you teachers for always being there for us, motivating us, and pushing us beyond our limits to relish success.

Thank you all!

Teachers’ day is celebrated in India on the 5th of September every year. It is celebrated on the auspicious occasion of the birthday of India’s first vice-president and second president, Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. On this day, students all over the country honour their teachers and celebrate them. An event for teachers’ day in a school or college would typically have singing and dancing performances by the students.

It is important for an anchor hosting the event to start the program with a fitting quote, a poem or some famous saying so that he or she can immediately capture the attention of the audience. For an event on the occasion of teachers’ day, quotes on the topic of teachers, student-teacher relationships, learning, and gratitude can be great. Choosing a good quotation and then following it up with a good welcome speech can help an anchor kick start the event.

A welcome speech for an event on teachers’ day can be something like this:

American philosopher Sidney Hook once said: “Everyone who remembers his own education remembers teachers, not methods and techniques. The teacher is the heart of the educational system.”

Hello and a warm good morning/ good afternoon/ good evening to our respected teachers and dear students. Today is 5th September, the birth anniversary of our former president, Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. Dr Radhakrishnan was not just an eminent politician but also a great teacher.

It was his wish that instead of celebrating his birthday, may this day be celebrated as Teachers’ Day to honour our beloved teachers. Without teachers, life would have no class. Without teachers, we wouldn’t be where we are today. So, today, with an extremely grateful heart, I, on behalf of all the students of [school/ college name], would like to thank our teachers for teaching us, helping us learn and grow and always guiding us. Thank you.

“On this beautiful occasion, our students have prepared several amazing performances for our teachers to enjoy. But before that, I would like to invite our respected Principal Sir/Ma’am to please come up on the stage and light the ceremonial lamp. Please give him/her a round of applause. Thank you.”

“There is no darkness so dense, so menacing, or so difficult that it cannot be overcome by light.” – Vern P. Stanfill

“Thank you, Sir/Ma’am. May Maa Saraswati bless us all. Thank you. Please take your seat. Everyone, please give him/her a huge round of applause.”

“Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.” – Robert Frost

“Poetry is one of the greatest forms of expression. Today, one of our very talented students, [student’s name], is going to recite a beautiful self-written poem in honour of our teachers. The poem expresses our gratitude and thankfulness towards our beloved teachers. Let’s welcome him/ her on the stage with a huge round of applause. Thank you.”

After the recital:

“That was so beautiful, [student’s name]. You wrote it so beautifully. Thank you so much. You may now take your seat. Can we have a huge round of applause for him/ her?”

Musical Performance

Victor Hugo once truly said, “Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent”

“Music is indeed capable of expressing our heart and our most sincere emotions. Now, it is time for a melodious performance by our classically trained duo, [name 1] and [name 2]. They are going to play the sitar and sing Raga Bhatiyar. Let’s welcome them with a huge round of applause.”

After the performance:

“Wow! That was surreal! I am spellbound! That was amazing! Thank you [name 1] and [name 2] for such a beautiful performance. You may now take your seats. Everyone, please give these talented students a huge round of applause. Thank you.”

“Where words fail, music speaks.” – Hans Christian Anderson

“Our next performer is not just a soulful singer but he/ she also writes and composes his/ her own songs. And today, he/ she is going to perform a beautiful self-written song. Let’s welcome our next performer, [student’s name], with a huge round of applause. Thank you.”

“[Student’s name], you are indeed extremely talented! I am in awe! That was a beautiful song and what a perfect tune to accompany it. Thank you for such an amazing performance. Everyone, please give him/ her a huge round of applause. Thank you.”

“All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts…” – William Shakespeare

“Now, students from class [x] are going to perform a skit based on the play, [play name] , by Rabindranath Tagore. They have been practising diligently for weeks. I am really excited to see this performance! Let us put our hands together and welcome them on the stage with a huge round of applause. Thank you.”

“Oh, that was a wonderful performance! You all nailed it. Especially the role of [character name] , it was amazing! Thank you for such a brilliant performance. Everyone, please give these talented kids a huge round of applause!”

Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche once said, “We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.”

“What is a celebration without dance? Now, our students of class [x] are going to present a classical Bharatnatyam dance performance. Bharatnatyam originated in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The dance form was often used to express devotion to the Gods in temples as well as to portray religious stories. It has now evolved into a brilliant dance form full of technique and grace.
