स्वस्थ समाज के निर्माण में नारी की भूमिका उतनी ही महत्त्वपूर्ण है, जितनी शरीर में रीढ़ की हड्डी की होती है। महादेवी वर्मा ने कहा है–“नारी केवल एक नारी ही नहीं, अपितु वह काव्य और प्रेम की प्रतिमूर्ति है। पुरुष विजय का भूखा होता है और नारी समर्पण की। वास्तव में भारतीय नारी पृथ्वी की कल्पलता के समान है।” इसीलिए नारी–निन्दा का निषेध करते हुए किसी ने उचित ही कहा है-

नारी–निन्दा मत करो, नारी नर की खान। नारी से नर होत है, ध्रुव–प्रह्लाद समान।।

स्वस्थ समाज में नारी की भूमिका–समाज के निर्माण में नारी की भूमिका उच्चकोटि की है, जिसका संक्षिप्त विवेचन इस प्रकार है-

(क) नारी समाज की जननी है–सृष्टि के सृजन में नारी का महत्त्वपूर्ण स्थान है। देव से लेकर मानव तक की जन्मदात्री नारी ही है। नारी के बिना समाज का कोई अस्तित्व नहीं है।

(ख)चरित्र–निर्मात्री–नारी मनुष्य को केवल जन्म ही नहीं देती, उसका पालन–पोषण, संस्कार–दान और चरित्र–निर्माण का दायित्व भी पूरी निष्ठा से निभाती है। माता के रूप में बच्चों की प्रथम गुरु वही होती है। उसी के दिए गए संस्कारों के बल पर सुदृढ़ चरित्र का निर्माण होता है। आज का बच्चा ही कल का नागरिक होगा, इसलिए वह बच्चों को संस्कार देकर और उसका चरित्र गढ़कर एक स्वच्छ चरित्रवान् राष्ट्र का निर्माण करती है।

(ग) शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में नारी ने अपना महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान देकर समाज को स्वस्थ और शिक्षित बनाने में अग्रणी भूमिका निभाई है। अब नारी चहारदीवारी से मुक्त होकर विज्ञान, तकनीक, उद्योग, व्यवसाय, न्याय, अन्तरिक्ष, खेल, कृषि, अनुसन्धान और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में अपनी सशक्त भूमिका निभा रही है तथा अपने ज्ञान से समाज को आगे बढ़ने के लिए प्रेरित कर रही है।

(घ) आर्थिक क्षेत्र में एक समय था, जब भारत की नारी कुप्रथाओं की बेड़ियों में जकड़ी हुई थी। आज नारी और समाज की सोच में पर्याप्त परिवर्तन हुआ है। वर्तमान भौतिकवादी युग में अर्थ की महत्ता बढ़ गई है। ऐसे में नारी पुरुष के साथ कंधे–से–कंधा मिलाकर धनोपार्जन के लिए प्रयत्नशील है। अपने गरिमामयी प्रयासों से वह परिवार–समाज को समृद्ध करने के लिए कृतसंकल्प है।

(ङ) व्यावसायिक क्षेत्र में–आज नारी ने बैंकिंग, केन्द्र सरकार, राज्य सरकार, कॉर्पोरेट जगत्, स्वयं सेवी संस्थाओं आदि सभी क्षेत्रों में अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज कराई है। नारी की धैर्यपूर्ण कार्य क्षमता, सहयोगियों के साथ मधुर व्यवहार, स्थायित्व की मानसिकता, सीखने की जिज्ञासा, संवेदनशीलता, कोमल अभिव्यक्ति, सकारात्मक सोच तथा विनम्रता आदि गुणों ने समाज में उसकी भूमिका को महत्त्वपूर्ण बना दिया है।

(च) प्रशासनिक क्षेत्र में आज नारी लोकसभा, राज्यसभा, विधानसभा तथा स्थानीय निकायों के नेतृत्व में भी अग्रणी है। वह समाज की अन्य स्त्रियों के हितों को लेकर भी पर्याप्त सजग है। महिला सशक्तीकरण उसकी इसी सजगता का परिणाम है। अपनी सजगता के माध्यम से नारी अन्य स्त्रियों के उतथान में भी उल्लेखनीय कार्य कर रही है।

प्राचीन युग से ही हमारे समाज में नारी का विशेष स्थान रहा है । हमारे पौराणिक ग्रंथों में नारी को पूज्यनीय एवं देवीतुल्य माना गया है । हमारी धारणा रही है कि देव शक्तियाँ वहीं पर निवास करती हैं जहाँ पर समस्त नारी जाति को प्रतिष्ठा व सम्मान की दृष्टि से देखा जाता है ।

इन प्राचीन ग्रंथों का उक्त कथन आज भी उतनी ही महत्ता रखता है जितनी कि इसकी महत्ता प्राचीन काल में थी । कोई भी परिवार, समाज अथवा राष्ट्र तब तक सच्चे अर्थों में प्रगति की ओर अग्रसर नहीं हो सकता जब तक वह नारी के प्रति भेदभाव, निरादर अथवा हीनभाव का त्याग नहीं करता है ।

प्राचीन काल में भारतीय नारी को विशिष्ट सम्मान व पूज्यनीय दृष्टि से देखा जाता था । सीता, सती-सावित्री, अनसूया, गायत्री आदि अगणित भारतीय नारियों ने अपना विशिष्ट स्थान सिद्‌ध किया है । तत्कालीन समाज में किसी भी विशिष्ट कार्य के संपादन मैं नारी की उपस्थिति महत्वपूर्ण समझी जाती थी ।

कालांतर में देश पर हुए अनेक आक्रमणों के पश्चात् भारतीय नारी की दशा में भी परिवर्तन आने लगे । नारी की स्वयं की विशिष्टता एवं उसका समाज में स्थान हीन होता चला गया । अंग्रेजी शासनकाल के आते-आते भारतीय नारी की दशा अत्यंत चिंतनीय हो गई । उसे अबला की संज्ञा दी जाने लगी तथा दिन-प्रतिदिन उसे उपेक्षा एवं तिरस्कार का सामना करना पड़ा ।

राष्ट्रकवि ‘मैथिली शरण गुप्त’ ने अपने काल में बड़े ही संवेदनशील भावों से नारी की स्थिति को व्यक्त किया है:

”अबला जीवन हाय तुम्हारी यही कहानी ।

आँचल में है दूध और आँखों में पानी ।”

विदेशी आक्रमणों व उनके अत्याचारों के अतिरिक्त भारतीय समाज में आई सामाजिक कुरीतियाँ, व्यभिचार तथा हमारी परंपरागत रूढ़िवादिता ने भी भारतीय नारी को दीन-हीन कमजोर बनाने में अहम भूमिका अदा की ।

नारी के अधिकारों का हनन करते हुए उसे पुरुष का आश्रित बना दिया गया । दहेज, बाल-विवाह व सती प्रथा आदि इन्हीं कुरीतियों की देन है । पुरुष ने स्वयं का वर्चस्व बनाए रखने के लिए ग्रंथों व व्याख्यानों के माध्यम से नारी को अनुगामिनी घोषित कर दिया ।

अंग्रेजी शासनकाल में भी रानी लक्ष्मीबाई, चाँद बीबी आदि नारियाँ अपवाद ही थीं जिन्होंने अपनी सभी परंपराओं आदि से ऊपर उठ कर इतिहास के पन्नों पर अपनी अमिट छाप छोड़ी । स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में भी भारतीय नारियों के योगदान की अनदेखी नहीं की जा सकती है ।

आज का युग परिवर्तन का युग है । भारतीय नारी की दशा में भी अभूतपूर्व परिवर्तन देखा जा सकता है । स्वतंत्रता प्राप्ति के पश्चात् अनेक समाज सुधारकों समाजसेवियों तथा हमारी सरकारों ने नारी उत्थान की ओर विशेष ध्यान दिया है तथा समाज व राष्ट्र के सभी वर्गों में इसकी महत्ता को प्रकट करने का प्रयास किया है ।

फलत: आज नारी पुरुषों के साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर चल रही है । विज्ञान व तकनीकी सहित लगभग सभी क्षेत्रों में उसने अपनी उपयोगिता सिद्‌ध की है । उसने समाज व राष्ट्र को यह सिद्‌ध कर दिखाया है कि शक्ति अथवा क्षमता की दृष्टि से वह पुरुषों से किसी भी भाँति कम नहीं है ।

निस्संदेह नारी की वर्तमान दशा में निरंतर सुधार राष्ट्र की प्रगति का मापदंड है । वह दिन दूर नहीं जब नर-नारी, सभी के सम्मिलित प्रयास फलीभूत होंगे और हमारा देश विश्व के अन्य अग्रणी देशों में से एक होगा ।

‘महिला सशक्तिकरण’ के बारे में जानने से पहले हमें ये समझ लेना चाहिये कि हम ‘सशक्तिकरण’ से क्या समझते है। ‘सशक्तिकरण’ से तात्पर्य किसी व्यक्ति की उस क्षमता से है जिससे उसमें ये योग्यता आ जाती है जिसमें वो अपने जीवन से जुड़े सभी निर्णय स्वयं ले सके। महिला सशक्तिकरण में भी हम उसी क्षमता की बात कर रहे है जहाँ महिलाएँ परिवार और समाज के सभी बंधनों से मुक्त होकर अपने निर्णयों की निर्माता खुद हो।

निबंध 1 (300 शब्द) – महिलाओं को सशक्त बनाना जरुरी क्यों है.

पंडित जवाहर लाल नेहरु द्वारा कहा गया मशहूर वाक्य “लोगों को जगाने के लिये”, महिलाओं का जागृत होना जरुरी है। एक बार जब वो अपना कदम उठा लेती है, परिवार आगे बढ़ता है, गाँव आगे बढ़ता है और राष्ट्र विकास की ओर उन्मुख होता है। भारत में, महिलाओं को सशक्त बनाने के लिये सबसे पहले समाज में उनके अधिकारों और मूल्यों को मारने वाले उन सभी राक्षसी सोच को मारना जरुरी है जैसे दहेज प्रथा, अशिक्षा, यौन हिंसा, असमानता, भ्रूण हत्या, महिलाओं के प्रति घरेलू हिंसा, बलात्कार, वैश्यावृति, मानव तस्करी और ऐसे ही दूसरे विषय।

महिला सशक्तिकरण जरुरी क्यों है

लैंगिक भेदभाव राष्ट्र में सांस्कृतिक, सामाजिक, आर्थिक और शैक्षिक अंतर ले आता है जो देश को पीछे की ओर ढ़केलता है। भारत के संविधान में उल्लिखित समानता के अधिकार को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए महिलाओं को सशक्त बनाना सबसे प्रभावशाली उपाय है इस तरह की बुराईयों को मिटाने के लिये। लैंगिक समानता को प्राथमिकता देने से पूरे भारत में महिला सशक्तिकरण को बढ़ावा मिला है। महिला सशक्तिकरण के उच्च लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने के लिये इसे हर एक परिवार में बचपन से प्रचारित व प्रसारितकरना चाहिये। ये जरुरी है कि महिलाएँ शारीरिक, मानसिक और सामाजिक रुप से मजबूत हो।

लैंगिक समानता को प्राथमिकता देने से पूरे भारत में महिला सशक्तिकरण को बढ़ावा मिला है। महिला सशक्तिकरण के उच्च लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने के लिये इसे हर एक परिवार में बचपन से प्रचारित व प्रसारितकरना चाहिये। ये जरुरी है कि महिलाएँ शारीरिक, मानसिक और सामाजिक रुप से मजबूत हो। चूंकि एक बेहतर शिक्षा की शुरुआत बचपन से घर पर हो सकती है, महिलाओं के उत्थान के लिये एक स्वस्थ परिवार की जरुरत है जो राष्ट्र के सर्वांगीण विकास के लिये आवश्यक है। आज भी कई पिछड़े क्षेत्रों में माता-पिता की अशिक्षा, असुरक्षा और गरीबी की वजह से कम उम्र में विवाह और बच्चे पैदा करने का चलन है। महिलाओं को मजबूत बनाने के लिये महिलाओं के खिलाफ होने वाले दुर्व्यवहार, लैंगिक भेदभाव, सामाजिक अलगाव तथा हिंसा आदि को रोकने के लिये सरकार कई सारे कदम उठा रही है।

महिलाओं की समस्याओं का उचित समाधान करने के लिये महिला आरक्षण बिल-108वाँ संविधान संशोधन का पास होना बहुत जरुरी है ये संसद में महिलाओं की 33% हिस्सेदारी को सुनिश्चित करता है। दूसरे क्षेत्रों में भी महिलाओं को सक्रिय रुप से भागीदार बनाने के लिये कुछ प्रतिशत सीटों को आरक्षित किया गया है।

सरकार को महिलाओं के वास्तविक विकास के लिये पिछड़े ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में जाना होगा और वहाँ की महिलाओं को सरकार की तरफ से मिलने वाली सुविधाओं और उनके अधिकारों से अवगत कराना होगा जिससे उनका भविष्य बेहतर हो सके। महिला सशक्तिकरण के सपने को सच करने के लिये लड़िकयों के महत्व और उनकी शिक्षा को प्रचारित करने की जरुरत है।

निबंध 2 (400 शब्द) – महिला सशक्तिकरण: लैंगिक समानता की ओर एक कदम

लैंगिक असमानता भारत में मुख्य सामाजिक मुद्दा है जिसमें महिलाएँ पुरुषवादी प्रभुत्व देश में पिछड़ती जा रही है। पुरुष और महिला को बराबरी पर लाने के लिये महिला सशक्तिकरण में तेजी लाने की जरुरत है। सभी क्षेत्रों में महिलाओं का उत्थान राष्ट्र की प्राथमिकता में शामिल होना चाहिये। महिला और पुरुष के बीच की असमानता कई समस्याओं को जन्म देती है जो राष्ट्र के विकास में बड़ी बाधा के रुप में सामने आ सकती है। ये महिलाओं का जन्मसिद्ध अधिकार है कि उन्हें समाज में पुरुषों के बराबर महत्व मिले। वास्तव में सशक्तिकरण को लाने के लिये महिलाओं को अपने अधिकारों से अवगत होना चाहिये। न केवल घरेलू और पारिवारिक जिम्मेदारियों बल्कि महिलाओं को हर क्षेत्रों में सक्रिय और सकारात्मक भूमिका निभानी चाहिये। उन्हें अपने आस-पास और देश में होने वाली घटनाओं को भी जानना चाहिये।

महिला सशक्तिकरण को बेहद आसान शब्दों में परिभाषित किया जा सकता है कि इससे महिलाएँ शक्तिशाली बनती है जिससे वो अपने जीवन से जुड़े हर फैसले स्वयं ले सकती है और परिवार और समाज में अच्छे से रह सकती है। समाज में उनके वास्तविक अधिकार को प्राप्त करने के लिये उन्हें सक्षम बनाना महिला सशक्तिकरण है।

भारत में महिला सशक्तिकरण की क्यों जरुरत है ?

महिला सशक्तिकरण की जरुरत इसलिये पड़ी क्योंकि प्राचीन समय से भारत में लैंगिक असमानता थी और पुरुषप्रधान समाज था। महिलाओं को उनके अपने परिवार और समाज द्वार कई कारणों से दबाया गया तथा उनके साथ कई प्रकार की हिंसा हुई और परिवार और समाज में भेदभाव भी किया गया ऐसा केवल भारत में ही नहीं बल्कि दूसरे देशों में भी दिखाई पड़ता है। महिलाओं के लिये प्राचीन काल से समाज में चले आ रहे गलत और पुराने चलन को नये रिती-रिवाजों और परंपरा में ढ़ाल दिया गया था। भारतीय समाज में महिलाओं को सम्मान देने के लिये माँ, बहन, पुत्री, पत्नी के रुप में महिला देवियो को पूजने की परंपरा है लेकिन इसका ये कतई मतलब नहीं कि केवल महिलाओं को पूजने भर से देश के विकास की जरुरत पूरी हो जायेगी। आज जरुरत है कि देश की आधी आबादी यानि महिलाओं का हर क्षेत्र में सशक्तिकरण किया जाए जो देश के विकास का आधार बनेंगी।

भारत एक प्रसिद्ध देश है जिसने ‘विविधता में एकता’ के मुहावरे को साबित किया है, जहाँ भारतीय समाज में विभिन्न धर्मों को मानने वाले लोग रहते है। महिलाओं को हर धर्म में एक अलग स्थान दिया गया है जो लोगों की आँखों को ढ़के हुए बड़े पर्दे के रुप में और कई वर्षों से आदर्श के रुप में महिलाओं के खिलाफ कई सारे गलत कार्यों (शारीरिक और मानसिक) को जारी रखने में मदद कर रहा है। प्राचीन भारतीय समाज दूसरी भेदभावपूर्ण दस्तूरों के साथ सती प्रथा, नगर वधु व्यवस्था, दहेज प्रथा, यौन हिंसा, घरेलू हिंसा, गर्भ में बच्चियों की हत्या, पर्दा प्रथा, कार्य स्थल पर यौन शोषण, बाल मजदूरी, बाल विवाह तथा देवदासी प्रथा आदि परंपरा थी। इस तरह की कुप्रथा का कारण पितृसत्तामक समाज और पुरुष श्रेष्ठता मनोग्रन्थि है।

पुरुष पारिवारिक सदस्यों द्वारा सामाजिक राजनीतिक अधिकार (काम करने की आजादी, शिक्षा का अधिकार आदि) को पूरी तरह प्रतिबंधित कर दिया गया। महिलाओं के खिलाफ कुछ बुरे चलन को खुले विचारों के लोगों और महान भारतीय लोगों द्वारा हटाया गया जिन्होंने महिलाओं के खिलाफ भेदभावपूर्ण कार्यों के लिये अपनी आवाज उठायी। राजा राम मोहन रॉय की लगातार कोशिशों की वजह से ही सती प्रथा को खत्म करने के लिये अंग्रेज मजबूर हुए। बाद में दूसरे भारतीय समाज सुधारकों (ईश्वर चंद्र विद्यासागर, आचार्य विनोभा भावे, स्वामी विवेकानंद आदि) ने भी महिला उत्थान के लिये अपनी आवाज उठायी और कड़ा संघर्ष किया। भारत में विधवाओं की स्थिति को सुधारने के लिये ईश्वर चंद्र विद्यासागर ने अपने लगातार प्रयास से विधवा पुर्न विवाह अधिनियम 1856 की शुरुआत करवाई।

पिछले कुछ वर्षों में महिलाओं के खिलाफ होने वाले लैंगिक असमानता और बुरी प्रथाओं को हटाने के लिये सरकार द्वारा कई सारे संवैधानिक और कानूनी अधिकार बनाए और लागू किये गये है। हालाँकि ऐसे बड़े विषय को सुलझाने के लिये महिलाओं सहित सभी का लगातार सहयोग की जरुरत है। आधुनिक समाज महिलाओं के अधिकार को लेकर ज्यादा जागरुक है जिसका परिणाम हुआ कि कई सारे स्वयं-सेवी समूह और एनजीओ आदि इस दिशा में कार्य कर रहे है। महिलाएँ ज्यादा खुले दिमाग की होती है और सभी आयामों में अपने अधिकारों को पाने के लिये सामाजिक बंधनों को तोड़ रही है। हालाँकि अपराध इसके साथ-साथ चल रहा है।

कानूनी अधिकार के साथ महिलाओं को सशक्त बनाने के लिये संसद द्वारा पास किये गये कुछ अधिनियम है – एक बराबर पारिश्रमिक एक्ट 1976, दहेज रोक अधिनियम 1961, अनैतिक व्यापार (रोकथाम) अधिनियम 1956, मेडिकल टर्म्नेशन ऑफ प्रेग्नेंसी एक्ट 1987, बाल विवाह रोकथाम एक्ट 2006, लिंग परीक्षण तकनीक (नियंत्रक और गलत इस्तेमाल के रोकथाम) एक्ट 1994, कार्यस्थल पर महिलाओं का यौन शोषण एक्ट 2013।

भारतीय समाज में सच में महिला सशक्तिकरण लाने के लिये महिलाओं के खिलाफ बुरी प्रथाओं के मुख्य कारणों को समझना और उन्हें हटाना होगा जो कि समाज की पितृसत्तामक और पुरुष प्रभाव युक्त व्यवस्था है। जरुरत है कि हम महिलाओं के खिलाफ पुरानी सोच को बदले और संवैधानिक और कानूनी प्रावधानों में भी बदलाव लाये।

निबंध – 4 (600 शब्द): महिला सशक्तिकरण के मार्ग में आने वाली बाधाएं

आज के समय में महिला सशक्तिकरण एक चर्चा का विषय है, खासतौर से पिछड़े और प्रगतिशील देशों में क्योंकि उन्हें इस बात का काफी बाद में ज्ञान हुआ कि बिना महिलाओं तरक्की और सशक्तिकरण के देश की तरक्की संभव नही है। महिलाओं के आर्थिक सशक्तिकरण का अर्थ उनके आर्थिक फैसलों, आय, संपत्ति और दूसरे वस्तुओं की उपलब्धता से है, इन सुविधाओं को पाकर ही वह अपने सामाजिक स्तर को उंचा कर सकती है।

भारत में महिला सशक्तिकरण के मार्ग में आने वाली बाधाएं

1) सामाजिक मापदंड

पुरानी और रुढ़ीवादी विचारधाराओं के कारण भारत के कई सारे क्षेत्रों में महिलाओं के घर छोड़ने पर पाबंदी होती है। इस तरह के क्षेत्रों में महिलाओं को शिक्षा या फिर रोजगार के लिए घर से बाहर जाने के लिए आजादी नही होती है। इस तरह के वातावरण में रहने के कारण महिलाएं खुद को पुरुषों से कमतर समझने लगती है और अपने वर्तमान सामाजिक और आर्थिक दशा को बदलने में नाकाम साबित होती है।

2) कार्यक्षेत्र में शारीरिक शोषण

हालांकि पिछलें कुछ दशकों सरकार द्वारा लिए गये प्रभावी फैसलों द्वारा भारत में बाल विवाह जैसी कुरीति को काफी हद तक कम कर दिया गया है लेकिन 2018 में यूनिसेफ के एक रिपोर्ट द्वारा पता चलता है, कि भारत में अब भी हर वर्ष लगभग 15 लाख लड़कियों की शादी 18 वर्ष से पहले ही कर दी जाती है, जल्द शादी हो जाने के कारण महिलाओं का विकास रुक जाता है और वह शारीरिक तथा मानसिक रुप से व्यस्क नही हो पाती है।

प्रस्तावना –

हमारे समाज में महिलाएं जन्म से लेकर अपनी मृत्यु तक अपने सम्पूर्ण जीवन मे कई किरदार निभाती हैं। वह अपने सभी किरदारों में अपने कर्तव्य को बखूबी निभाने के लिए जानी जाती हैं। आज के आधुनिक युग में महिला पुरुषों के साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर चलती देखी जाती हैं।

लेकिन आज भी बहुत सारी महिलाएं पुरुषों से काफी पीछे हैं। समाज में आज भी लोग महिलाओं की योग्यता को पुरुषों से कमतर आंकते हैं।

सरकार द्वारा महिलाओं के उत्थान के लिए तथा महिला सशक्तिकरण के लिए कई जागरूकता कार्यक्रम चलाये गये, लेकिन इसके बावजूद आज भी महिलाओं की जिंदगी पुरुषों के अधीन हैं। आज भी महिलाओं के जिंदगी जटिल है।

उन्हें अपनी जिंदगी का ख्याल रखने के साथ अपने परिवार का भी ध्यान रखना पड़ता है। वह अपनी पूरी जिंदगी में बेटी, बहन, पत्नी, बहु, मां जैसे कई किरदारों को निभाती हैं।

यह सभी रिश्तो को निभाने के के साथ-साथ आज कई महिलाएं नौकरियां भी कर रही हैं और अपना व अपने परिवार का साथ ही अपने देश का भविष्य उज्जवल करने में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे रही हैं।

महिलाओं का उत्थान की तुलना

अगर आज की महिलाओं की अवस्था को पौराणिक समाज की अवस्था से तुलना किया जाए तो काफी अंतर देखने को मिल जाता है। आज महिलाओं की स्थिति पहले से काफी बेहतर हो गई है।

महिलाएं नौकरी करने लगी हैं और घरेलू खर्चे में भी अपना योगदान करने लगी हैं। जिससे महिलाओं का सम्मान बढ़ा है। आज महिलाएं आत्मनिर्भर बन रही हैं, वह अपनी जरूरतों के लिए पुरुषों पर निर्भर नहीं है।

कई क्षेत्र तो ऐसे हैं जहां पर महिलाएं पुरुषों से भी आगे निकल चुकी हैं। आज लड़कियां ऐसे ऐसे कीर्तिमान बना रही हैं जिससे वह अपने परिवार के साथ अपने समाज का और देश का नाम कर रही हैं।

महिला उत्थान के लिये सरकारी प्रयास –

स्वतंत्रता के बाद भारत सरकार भी महिलाओं के उत्थान हेतु तरह-तरह के प्रयास किये। सरकार द्वारा अनगिनत योजनाएं महिला उत्थान के लिये चलाई गई। जिससे महिलाएं सामाजिक बेड़ियों को तोड़कर आगे बढ़ सके और अन्य महिलाओं को आगे बढ़ने के लिए प्रेरित कर सकें।

सरकार ने पुराने वक्त में प्रचलित कानूनों को बदलने के लिए भी कानून लगाएं। बाल विवाह, भ्रूण हत्या, दहेज प्रथा, बाल मजदूरी, घरेलू हिंसा के खिलाफ भारत में सख्त कानून बनाए गए हैं। इसका परिणाम यह हुआ है कि महिलाओं की स्थिति में काफी सुधार हो गया है।

आज महिलाएं अलग-अलग रिश्तो में खुद को बांधकर खुद के साथ दूसरों की भलाई के लिए भी काम कर रही हैं। लेकिन आज भी कई क्षेत्रों में महिलाओं की स्थिति चिंताजनक है।

शहरी क्षेत्र को छोड़ दिया जाए तो ग्रामीण इलाकों में कई जगह आज भी महिलाओं की स्थिति काफी चिंताजनक है। शिक्षा की सही व्यवस्था न हो पाने के कारण आज भी लाखों महिलाएं दयनीय स्थिति में जीवन जीने को मजबूर हैं।

एक महिला एक बच्चे को जन्म देती है और अपनी सारी जिंदगी बच्चे के पीछे लगा देती है। बदले में वह कुछ भी नहीं मांगती। महिलाओं को सहनशीलता की एक मिसाल के तौर पर भी जाना जाता है।

ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में महिलाओं के पिछड़ेपन का एक महत्वपूर्ण कारण शिक्षा की उचित व्यवस्था न हो पाना है। गांव में महिलाओं की जिंदगी का एक मात्र सहारा पुरुष होते हैं और पुरुष यही मानते हैं कि महिलाओं का काम घर में खाना बनाना और घर को संभालना है और पुरुषों का काम दो वक्त की रोटी का जुगाड़ करना है।

ऐसे माहौल में महिला सशक्तिकरण की उम्मीद नहीं की जा सकती। लेकिन आज गांव और शहरों में तेजी से बदलाव देखने को मिल रहा है। सरकार द्वारा संचालित योजनाओं का प्रभाव देखने को मिल रहा है।

आज कई ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों की महिलाएं समाज के विकास में अपनी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही हैं। सरकार को महिलाओं के उत्थान के लिए और अधिक योजनाएं लाने और उनके विकास के लिए प्रयास करने की आवश्यकता है।

जिससे समाज में व्याप्त नकारात्मकता की भावना को दूर किया जा सके और महिलाओं को भी बराबरी का दर्जा मिल सके।

निष्कर्ष –

कहा जाता है कि महिलाओं के बिना मनुष्य के जीवन की कल्पना फिर संभव नहीं है। लेकिन इसके बावजूद आज भी महिलाओं की प्रतिभा को बहुत सारे लोग नजरअंदाज कर देते हैं और उन्हें पुरुषों से कमतर मानते हैं।

देश की आधी आबादी आज भी प्रतिनिधित्व का अभाव महसूस करती हैं। महिलाओं के उत्थान के लिए महिला शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देना बेहद जरूरी है, क्योंकि अगर किसी समाज में महिलाएं पढ़ी-लिखी नही होगी तो इससे समाज और देश का विकास बाधित होगा।

हमें यह समझना होगा कि एक महिला अनपढ़ होते हुए घर को बेहतर ढंग से संभाल सकती है। ऐसे में यदि महिला पढ़ी लिखी होगी तो वह घर, परिवार, समाज और देश को भी बेहतर ढंग से संभाल सकेगी।

कहा जाता है कि महिलाएं ही परिवार बनाते हैं, परिवार से घर बनता है और घर समाज का निर्माण करता है और समाज से ही हमारे देश का निर्माण होता है। मतलब की महिलाओं के विकास के बिना देश और समाज का विकास मुमकिन नहीं है।

ऐसे में महिलाओं की क्षमता को नजरअंदाज नहीं करना चाहिए। बल्कि महिला सशक्तिकरण के लिए महिलाओं की शिक्षा पर विशेष ध्यान देना चाहिए, जिससे वह अपने सपने को साकार कर सकें और देश के विकास में योगदान दे सकें।

अर्थात जिस कुल में नारियों का सम्मान होता है और उनकी पूजा होती है वहां देवाताओं का वास होता है, वहीं जिस कुल में महिलाओं का आदर सत्कार नहीं होता, उस कुल का विनाश होता है अर्थात कोई भी काम सफल नहीं होता।

नारी शक्ति एक अद्भुत और अलौकिक शक्ति है, इसके साथ ही नारी सृष्टि की सबसे शानदार रचना हैं, जो न सिर्फ कुल को आगे बढ़ाती हैं बल्कि अन्याय का भी विनाश करती है। नारी के बिना संसार की समस्त क्रियाएं अधूरी मानी जाती है।

नारी ममता, त्याग, प्रेम की देवी है, वहीं जब-जब नारी का अपमान हुआ है, तब-तब धर्म की हानि हुई है और युद्ध हुआ है। वहीं रामायण और महाभारत भी इस बात का प्रमाण हैं। सीता के अपमान के कारण ही लंकाधिपति रावण का विनाश हुआ है और द्रोपदी के अपमान का नतीजा ही महाभारत का युद्ध था।

हमारे देश में नारियों ने सदैव अपने साहस और बलिदान से अपनी अद्मय शक्ति और क्षमता का परिचय दिया है, हालांकि फिर भी आज हमारे देश में महिलाओं की जमकर उपेक्षा हो रही है, उन्हें अपने ही हक के लिए ही लड़ना पड़ रहा है।

वहीं महिलाओं की स्थिति भारत में हमेशा से ही बदलती रही है, लेकिन महिलाओं ने हर परिस्थिति में खुद को साबित किया और परिवार, समाज और राष्ट्र के विकास में अपनी अहम भूमिका निभाई है।

प्राचीन भारत में महिलाओं की स्थिति

प्राचीन भारत में अगर महिलाओं की स्थिति की बात करें तो महलिाओं की स्थिति काफी अच्छी हुआ करती थी। उस युग में नारियों का महत्व समझा जाता था और उन्हें देवी का रुप मानकर उनका आदर सत्कार किया जाता था। प्राचीन भारत में महिलाओं को शिक्षा, व्यापार, स्वास्थ्य, साहित्य समेत तमाम क्षेत्रों में महिलाओं को पुरुष की तरह अधिकार प्राप्त थे। इसके साथ ही महिलाएं हर जगह पुरुषों की तरह अपनी भागीदारी निभाती थी।

वहीं प्राचीन भारत में महिला-पुरुष में भेदभाव नहीं किया जाता था अर्थात कोई भी काम लैंगिग भेदभाव के आधार पर नहीं बंटा था। प्राचीन भारत में मैत्रेयी, लोपामुद्रा, गार्गी आदि महान उच्च शिक्षित महिलाओं का उल्लेख मिलता है।

मध्ययुगीन भारत में महिलाओं की स्थिति

मध्युगीन भारत में महिलाओं की स्थिति काफी खराब थी, क्योंकि इस युग में महिलाओं-पुरुषों में भेद किया जाने लगा था। इस युग में महिलाओं को उनके हक से वंचित रखा गया, इसके साथ ही उन्हें स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा समेत कई मामलों में पुरुषों से पीछे रखा गया।

इसके अलावा महिलाओं को इस युग में सती प्रथा, बाल विवाह, पर्दा प्रथा, दहेज प्रथा जैसी कुरोतियों का शिकार होना पड़ा। जिससे उनकी स्थिति काफी बिगड़ती गई और आज भी इसी वजह से महिलाएं अपने हक के लिए संघर्ष कर रही हैं।

हालांकि मध्ययुगीन भारत में रानी दुर्गावती , अहिल्याबाई होल्कर , झांसी की रानी लक्ष्मी बाई , मीराबाई , सरोजिनी नायडू , मदर टेरेसा जैसी कई महिलाओं ने पुरुष प्रधान देश में अपनी साहस और शक्ति का परिचय दिया और नारी शक्ति का एहसास करवाया।

इस युग में मध्युगीन भारत के महान कवि मैथिलीशरण गुप्त ने महिलाओं की स्थिति का वर्णन इस तरह किया है –

अबला जीवन हाय तुम्हारी यही कहानी। आंचल में है दूध और आंखों में पानी।।

वर्तमान में महिलाओं की स्थिति

मध्ययुगीन भारत में महिलाओं की बिगड़ती स्थिति और उनकी दशा को देखकर 19वीं शताब्दी में राजाराम मोहन राय , स्वामी विवेकानंद, दयानंद सरस्वती , भीमराव अम्बेडकर , महात्मा ज्योतिबा फुले और सावित्री बाई समेत तमाम समाज सुधारकों ने महिलाओं के विकास और उनके उत्थान के लिए काम किए।

जिससे काफी हद तक महिलाओं की स्थित में सुधार तो आ गया, लेकिन आज भी महिलाओं के प्रति लोगों की विचारधारा पूरी तरह नहीं बदली है, जिसकी वजह से महिलाओं का पूरी तरह से विकास नहीं हो पा रहा है, वहीं जब तक महिलाओं का विकास नहीं होगा तब तक देश का भी सही मायने में विकास नहीं हो सकेगा, क्योंकि महिलाएं देश की आधी शक्ति होती हैं, और जब हमारे देश की आधी शक्ति ही मजबूत नहीं होगी तो देश कैसे मजबूत बनेगा।

वहीं भारत के महान दार्शनिक और समाज सुधारक स्वामी विवेकानंद महिलाओं को लेकर कहा है कि –

“नारी जब अपने ऊपर थोपी हुई बेड़ियों एवं कड़ियों को तोड़ने लगेगी तो विश्व की कोई शक्ति उसे नहीं रोक पायेगी।”

इसलिए नारियों का सम्मान और विकास जरूरी है। अर्थात हम सभी को महिलाओं के उत्थान के लिए काम करने चाहिए और सभी को महिलाओं के प्रति सोच को बदलना होगा, तभी हम सही मायने में तरक्की कर सकेंगे और हमारा देश शक्तिशाली और विकसित देश में शुमार होगा।

But during the past few centuries, the conditions of women worsen. Previously, women were referred to as housekeepers. It was thought and passed down to others that women are meant to marry, take care of the house and their in-laws, and sacrifice all of their aspirations in order to realise the dreams of their husbands and children. Furthermore, women were kept out of school because families believed that only boys deserved to be educated and follow their aspirations.
