The National Flag of Pakistan was designed by the Founder of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The flag itself is dark green with a white bar, a white crescent in the middle, and a five-pointed star.

Each color and symbol used in the flag has its significance. The white bar and the dark green field symbolize minorities and the Muslim majority. The crescent on the flag represents progress and the five radial star symbolizes light and knowledge.

However, there is a controversial belief that the original designer of the flag was not Quaid but Amiruddin Khudai. Death did not allow him to work for the development and glory of his country. Quaid-e-Azam had a character. Even his opponents acknowledged his honesty and integrity. He is the hero of our great freedom.

The most outstanding thing after Independence was the changes made by the citizens. Having limited things like machinery, food, and houses, they achieved those things that can’t be predicted. It took many sacrifices to get the country but today we are not doing the things taught by our elders. We got this country so that we can perform our religious worship. Moreover, basic things like Justice, illiteracy rate, and poverty have very bad conditions.

Pakistan’s government and its people are still not taking any lessons from the past as not just once. But twice they have witnessed the result of unfair treatment and not giving the people their due rights but unfortunately, no one is taking the lesson from the past. Still, in our provinces of the country, we are laying the foundation of another civil disobedience and GOD forbid there might be another possibility that any province.

No matter whether it is Sindh, Baluchistan, or KPK will stand and will demand a separate homeland because the rights of the people are being snatched and there is no equality in the provinces as few provinces are being neglected by the federal government. We still have time to survive and to improve the condition because what happened in 1947 was in our favor but what happened to East Pakistan was a big loss and what further can happen to be even more devastating and injurious to the solidarity and the growth of Pakistan.

Paint your palms orange and press your palm prints on the top section of the paper. Repeat the same on the bottom section with green paint. To create the Ashok Chakra, paint your palms blue and place your palm impressions by going around like the hands of a clock. Erase the pencil lines and your beautiful chart is ready for display!       

2. Tricolour Recipe

Let’s get creative and patriotic in the kitchen! This activity is great fun for children of all ages. Younger kids can arrange salads or fruits in the design of the tricolour. Older kids can try their hands at frosting a cake with three colours. And, children ready to try some more elaborate recipes can try a rice arrangement with portions of Schezwan rice, plain rice and coriander rice, or a pasta serving with a tomato-based sauce, cheesy sauce and pesto sauce to get the all the three colours on a single serving dish. You will find a host of child-friendly recipes online!  

3. Mono Act Skit   

If you love acting, here’s a fun activity for you. Prepare a mono act for performing for your family, at school or in your society Independence Day celebration. Brush up on your history lessons and enact an inspiring event of the freedom struggle while playing the part of a freedom fighter of your choice. Learn some of their inspiring speeches to perform as part of your act. You can choose events like the Dandi March and Salt Satyagraha, Bhagat Singh’s attack on the Britishers, Mangal Pandey’s rebellion, or Jawaharlal Nehru’s famous speech announcing India’s independence. The stage is all yours!   

4. Dumb Charades with Patriotic Movies  

Independence Day is a holiday for the entire family! How about getting together to do play some fun games like Dumb Charades! Each member of the family has to act out the name of a movie while the others try to guess.    

5. DIY Tricolour Badge   

Prepare a badge that you can pin up on your shirt to show your love and pride for India. You will need a card paper cut into a small circle for the base of your badge. Cut out small strips of orange, green and white ribbon. Fold the ribbons in half. Paste the orange ribbons along the edge of the circle. Now, leave some gap and start pasting the white ribbon a little below the orange. In the innermost circle, paste the green ribbons. In the space left in the centre, write down your name. You can also paste orange, white and green ribbons dangling from the bottom of the badge, and it’s ready to wear!     

6. Parade  

An Independence Day parade can be a great way for children to bring out their patriotism. Schools can organise a parade where children of every class form groups and march in coordination. The practice for the march will be a good physical exercise and children will get a chance to feel nationalistic pride.    

7. Singing and Dancing Competitions  

Children can be engaged in preparing dance performances celebrating the cultural diversity of our country. They can also learn patriotic songs and participate in singing competitions in school. This will help them learn about the country’s rich heritage, showcase their talents and express pride for India.

14th August, is our INDEPENDENCE DAY and it means a day when we had got freedom not only from our ruthless rulers but freedom from humiliation. At this day we got our own identity and our own valves. Pakistan came into being in 1947 as a sovereign state. 14th August is a day when, efforts of our national heroes are appreciated and celebrated and a day when we get our name and respect. Being Muslims we have our own values, traditions and religion. We Muslims celebrate this day with complete satisfaction and pleasure of being in a separate region where we enjoy freedom of living in every way. Pakistan is a democratic parliamentary federal Islamic republic state. Pakistan has its four provinces, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The day is a national holiday in Pakistan and is celebrated all over the country with flag raising ceremonies, tributes to the national heroes and fireworks taking place in the capital, Islamabad. President and prime minister delivers speeches and in the speech, the leaders highlight the achievements of the government, goals set for the future and in the words of the father of the nation, Quaid-i-Azam, bring "Unity, Faith and Discipline" to its people. Day starts with flag raising ceremonies in the Capital city Islamabad and so in all major cities in Pakistan. March parade and exchange of guard’s ceremonies takes place on the Quaid-i-Azam’s mausoleum.

People of Pakistan, on this national holiday visit national monuments like MINAR-e-PAKISTAN which fully lit to commemorate the independence of Pakistan from the British Empire. As citizens of free Pakistan, we must reflect on the values and principles which were in the minds and hearts of those who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. They portrayed inspiration from the values nurtured in the country through ages. Now we are living as an independent nation, which is enjoying all the beauties, charismas of their own homeland. Being an independent and self-respective nation, it’s our duty to serve our country with our best. We should work whole heartedly and with complete devotion for the development of our beloved homeland, we should not forget the sacrifices of our ancestors and national leaders whole made this land happen as an unrestricted territory for us to live. It’s the time to work with that passion which was in the bloods of our national heroes who fought for our freedom; it’s the time for the strong commitment with us for the betterment of our holy land. We should not compromise on our integrity and would not let our freedom and integrity being used by other dominant powers in the world. Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed teachers, and my dear classmates,

The word Independence refers to the freedom of mind, intent and action. Because of long-term experience, we’re breathing free as respected, independent and law-abiding residents of Pakistan. Freedom lets you ultimately control the things you do, what you do and where you do it, taking into consideration the laws of the land.

Pakistan is a fantastic gift. It’s a gift that is ours thanks to the sacrifices of thousands of fighters for freedom who decided to be free and also to defend their children’s future. The value and worth of liberty can only be assessed when you are in a bind. There are thousands of examples across the globe. From one end of the world, the world is still full of inhumane treatment and slavery of every kind. We respect you, Sir. All of us know there is a reason for the celebration of 14th August to commemorate the injustices of our time.

We gather here to pay tribute to the leaders who gave us this land for free. Land. The endless struggle that lasted throughout the years after we received this land. The leaders, such as Quaid Azam Iqbal Iqbal, Sir Syed Ahmed, Liaqat Ali and the like, are our heroes for choosing not to bow to the demands and machinations of British and Hindu supremacy. Since Independence in 2000, we’ve been fighting evils of all kinds. However, we are grateful that, according to the principles of discipline, unity, and faith, we’re in the present, standing proudly behind all.

Let me assure you that we’re here and here to stay as a free, independent and fair land even after all the conspiracy theories. As a country, the well-known public faces various problems here. It’s pretty depressing to say that we are faced with myriad issues. Law and order in different areas of our country are in danger. There are issues of corruption, resource mismanagement, illiteracy, and unemployment.

The only thing we’ve left is unification, hard work and faith in God. We must protect our nation from all these problems. The more United we become, the more secure we are. A lot of the responsibility falls on those of us children. Thank you to everyone who has been here. Ultimately, I encourage everyone to be active in the pursuit of great national responsibility. We must work hard all day and night to make our country peaceful, contributing to world peace, prosperity, and a happy life. Insha Allah, the day is not too far away when we will triumph over all the challenges.

We celebrate this day with great joy every year. This year amazing preparations were made in our school.

Early in the morning of the 14th August be gathered on the school premises. The school was beautifully decorated with flags and buntings. In school, we stood around the flagpole. Exactly at 8, the national anthem was relayed from the radio Pakistan. We all stood in respect then it’s followed by the president’s speech.

After this, we started our programs. Scouts band played tunes, national songs were sung, speeches were made. Thus we celebrated Independence day in our school this day always remind us of the untold sacrifices of the fighters of freedom we should pray for those Patriots who shed their blood for achieving Pakistan.

Each of us received a packet of sweets the senior students of the school were asked to step illumination after enjoying the Grand illumination the school we returned home in a happy mood.

Pakistan celebrates Independence Day, which falls on August 14, as a national holiday. It honors the day when Pakistan gained independence and became an independent nation after the British Raj ended in 1947.

Pakistan was established as a consequence of the Pakistan Movement, which demanded the division of British India into autonomous Muslim states in its northern territories. Muhammad Ali Jinnah led the All-India Muslim League, which was in charge of the movement.

The national anthem and live broadcast statements by politicians are followed by the major Independence Day celebration, which is held in Islamabad. Flag-raising ceremonies, parades, cultural gatherings, and the singing of national anthems are examples of celebratory activities. Muslim can die with hunger but can never live like slaves because this is against his nature. Pakistan has historical and an ideological back ground. Pakistan on the earth is not less than miracle. Our home land is the result of restless efforts of subcontinent people.

Pakistan is the combination of two words “Pak” and “Stan” Pak mean pious and Stan mean land it means land of pious. There was dream of Muslim of subcontinent to live their life according to their religion. For these practices piece of land was necessary. For that creation of Pakistan was come to reality.Independence day for any nation is like festival and the people of Pakistan celebrate this great day with enthusiasm and joy. Pakistani Flag has two colors white and green, white portion represents the minorities and green represent the Muslims. There is moon in flag represent the development of Pakistan and Star represent the affirmation and Five pillars of Islam.

Pakistan is the result of remarkable efforts by our leaders and whole nation. The Muslims of Subcontinent gave many sacrifices for several year as they were not allowed to practice their norms and values according to their religion as they were the minority.

However the efforts made by the leaders and people like Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Liaqat Ali Khan, Fazl e Haq, Molana Shabbir Ahmed Usmani, and also many other made sure that their sacrifices did not go in vain and they were able to provide the Muslims an independent homeland.

The significant reason of loving Pakistan is Independence movement itself. Today we know we are living in worst situation, there is to many problems suicides, corruption, load shedding, disorder of law, unemployment, floods, Europeans says we are exporter of terrorism, and where courts themselves cry for justice.

To see above all situations how we can feel proud?. Every one says what thing Pakistan given us etc. But i want to say here a famous Quote ‘Ask not what Pakistan has given to us; just ask what we have done for Pakistan’. With this spirit today i invite you all Pakistanis to Love Pakistan and live for Pakistan and for its people.

One of the most memorable days in Indian history is 15th August. It’s the day on which the Indian sub-continent got independence after a long struggle. India only has three national festivals that are celebrated by the whole nation as one. One being the Independence Day (15th August) and the other two being Republic Day (26th January) and Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October). After independence, India became the largest democracy in the world. We fought very hard to get our independence from the Britishers. In this essay on Independence Day, we are going to discuss the history and importance of Independence Day.

History of Our Independence Day

For almost two centuries the Britishers ruled over us. And the citizen of the country suffered a lot due to these oppressors. British officials treat us like slaves until we manage to fight back against them.

We struggled for our independence but work tirelessly and selflessly under the guidance of our leaders Jawahar Lal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi , Chandra Shekhar Azad, and Bhagat Singh. Some of these leaders choose the path of violence while some choose non-violence. But the ultimate aim of these was to drive out the Britishers from the country. And on 15th August 1947, the long-awaited dream come true.

Why We Celebrate Independence Day?

To relive the moment and to enjoy the spirit of freedom and independence we celebrate Independence Day. Another reason is to remember the sacrifices and lives we have lost in this struggle. Besides, we celebrated it to remind us that this freedom that we enjoy is earned the hard way.

Apart from that, the celebration wakes up the patriot inside us. Along with celebration, the young generation is acquainted with the struggles of the people who lived at that time.

Activities on Independence Day

Although it’s a national holiday the people of the country celebrate it with great enthusiasm. Schools, offices, societies, and colleges celebrate this day by organizing various small and big events.

Every year at Red Fort the Prime Minister of India host the national flag. In the honor of the occasion, 21 gunshots are fired. This is the begging of the main event. This event is later on followed by an army parade.

The school and colleges organize cultural events, fancy dress competitions, speech, debate, and quiz competition.

On 15th August 1947, India was declared independent from British colonialism and became the largest democracy in the world. Many of them also sacrificed their lives to make India free from British rule. Their contribution and effort are remembered in India’s Independence history.

India achieved independence after years of struggle. India got complete freedom from the British and secured full autonomy on 15th August 1947. That’s why the day holds great significance in the heart of every Indian citizen living in India or abroad. India completed 73 years of freedom on 15h August 2020. This day also reminds us of the struggles of freedom fighters and the lives sacrificed by them in achieving independence. The pain that our heroes have gone through reminds us that the freedom we enjoy today has been earned by shedding the blood of lakhs of people. It also awakens a feeling of patriotism inside every citizen of India.
