Candidates should practice numerical reasoning tests to prepare for a quantitative ability assessment.
Wipro Logical Ability Test
The logical ability assessment is a test used to assess a candidate's logical thinking skills.
The multiple-choice test requires candidates to think logically and work under time pressure to decide on the right answer and solution to a number of problems.
Typically, candidates will be presented with a variety of shapes or sequences and be asked to find the rule or pattern that connects them. These questions can be either deductive, inductive or abstract.
The tests are quite challenging so it's important to get lots of practice beforehand. Your score will determine if you are considered for shortlisting or not.
Wipro Verbal Ability Test
The verbal ability assessment tests a candidate's ability to read and understand the key information from dense text passages.
The test requires candidates to answer questions based on the text and decide if the statement is true, false or if you cannot tell. The test is timed so candidates will need to work quickly and be able to cope well under pressure.
Wipro Written Communication Test

If your role has no programming requirements, it is unlikely you will need to take this test.
Wipro Interviews
The interview rounds consist of two main interviews: an HR interview and a technical interview.
Wipro HR Interview
HR interviews are used to give the recruiters an insight into your personality, strengths and weaknesses and your work history and background.
They may also ask questions about your knowledge of Wipro's history, such as its visual, organisational structure, and cultural values. This is why it's crucial to prepare for interviews beforehand.
Typical HR interview questions might include:
- Tell me about yourself?
- Why do you want to work at Wipro?
- What are motivations?
- Tell me about a time when you showed a certain skill or quality?
- Why are you looking to change jobs?
It's important to use the STAR method to structure your answers (situation, task, action, response). This can help improve the quality of your response when answering each question.
Wipro Technical Interview
A Technical face to face interview is the final stage in the interview rounds. This will be an important assessment to test your technical abilities and knowledge based on the position you have applied for.
You might be asked to carry out some problem-solving tasks and numerical reasoning skills tests.

Wipro Application Process
Online application, online assessments, technical / functional interview, hr interview.
The Wipro career process is a multi-stage, competitive process. To progress, you’ll need to perform strongly at each stage, as the applicant pool is streamlined at each hurdle in the process.
The hiring process involves an online application, online psychometric tests, and a minimum of two interviews.
Wipro online application
The first step in the recruitment process is to complete an online application via the Wipro Careers website . You’ll need to log in to the career portal and create a profile.
The application will ask you to provide details of your educational background, work experience, and any other relevant information. You may also be required to answer a few questions based around your motivation for the role, and for working for Wipro. Questions will vary depending on the vacancy and career level.
Applications can be logged for specific roles, or a general expression of interest can be submitted so that your details are logged on the system for when a suitable role arises. Note, however, that applications for specific vacancies will be given first consideration.
Wipro aptitude tests
If your application passes the screening stage, you’ll be invited to sit for an online assessment. The tests set as part of this assessment differ depending upon the particulars of the vacancy and its career level, but most assessments assess key cognitive skills through three main areas:
Wipro verbal reasoning
The verbal reasoning section assesses a candidate’s ability to rapidly understand and analyze written information. You’ll be presented with passages of text and asked a series of questions related to its content. These will be multiple-choice and involve:
Vocabulary – Vocab questions will cover contextual vocabulary, synonyms, and antonyms.
Grammar – Grammar questions will involve looking at sentence construction, tenses, articles, subject-verb agreement, propositions, conjunctions, use of speech, and identifying grammatical errors.
Reading Comprehension – Reading comprehension questions will require candidates to analyze text, summarize, make inferences, deconstruct arguments, and place statements in order.
You will need to answer 22 questions in 18 minutes.
Wipro logical reasoning
The logical reasoning section of the test contains deductive, inductive, and abstract reasoning questions. These will cover topics such as inferred meaning, number and word sequences , analogies , classification, relationality, and data sufficiency to test your logical ability.
There will be 16 questions to answer in 16 minutes.
Wipro quantitative aptitude
The quantitative aptitude test involves:
Basic mathematics – These questions require your knowledge of factors, division, averages, ratios and proportions, decimal fractions and powers, algebra, surds, and indices.
Applied mathematics – These questions involve calculations on profit and loss, simple and compound interest, time, speed and distance , inverse and direct proportionality, and time and productivity. They may also involve shapes as well as numbers.
Engineering mathematics – The engineering math questions involve geometry (and coordinate geometry), probability, logarithms, permutation and combinations, and technical diagrams involving force and volume (depicting levers, pulleys, pipes, and cisterns).
There will be a total of 18 questions (across these three areas) to answer in 20 minutes.
Depending upon your business area, you may also be presented with an additional technical section (involving a coding test) or an essay writing task.
The coding test may involve basic online programming, data structures, and object-oriented programming (OOP).
Each section of the overall assessment is timed individually, so you’ll need to work through the questions at a steady pace. If you fail to complete a section within the given time limit, you’ll automatically be moved on to the next thematic set of questions.
The assessment is not negatively marked, so if you are stuck on an answer, it is worth giving it your best guess.
Prepare yourself for leading employers
Wipro technical/functional interview
If you achieve a high score on the online assessment, you’ll be invited to interview. The interview process might consist of two rounds: a technical interview and an HR interview round.
The first interview is a technical/functional interview with representatives from Wipro’s business and talent acquisition teams. Depending upon the circumstances, this interview may be held in person at a Wipro office or conducted virtually.
As this is the first time you’ll meet a member of the Wipro recruitment team, seek to convey both your skills and your personality. It is important to showcase your experience, expertise, and knowledge, alongside why you would be a great cultural fit for the company.
All your answers should be backed up with evidence, so spend some preparation time reviewing the job description, matching your skills and experience to the criteria, and articulating the connections succinctly.
If you are applying for a technical role, be prepared to answer technical, detail-oriented questions in the interview.
Wipro HR interview
Your second interview will be with a member of the HR team. This interview will explore your motivation for the job role, your behavioral preferences, and your alignment with the company culture and values.
Wipro outlines six interview tips – referred to as the ‘6 Ps’ - on its website. These are:
Punctuality – Arrive at least 15 minutes before your interview is due to begin.
Presentation – Present yourself professionally, by wearing smart clothing.
Preface – Shake hands confidently and introduce yourself whilst engaging in eye contact.
Preparation – Research Wipro and your chosen role. Come with an awareness of Wipro’s activities, recent developments in the sector, and the competitor landscape.
Proficiency – Be honest and confident. This comes with practice, so rehearse through mock interviews and adjust how you present yourself accordingly. Illustrate your strengths and convey an awareness of your weaknesses (and how to combat them).
Phraseology of the body – Be aware of your body language throughout the interview. Good posture, eye contact, and a relaxed demeanor are important for creating a good impression.
Wipro Job Offer
If you’ve impressed the hiring team throughout the process, you’ll receive an offer to join the company. If you are unsuccessful, after six months have elapsed, you will be able to reapply for a role at Wipro.

WIPRO Placement Paper 1 | Written Test
This is a WIPRO model placement paper for placement preparation. This placement paper will cover aptitude, logical and reasoning, verbal and coding questions that are asked in WIPRO recruitment drives and also strictly follows the pattern of questions asked in WIPRO interviews. It is recommended to solve each one of the following questions to increase your chances of clearing the WIPRO interview.
Quantitative Analysis
Explanation:
Required number = H.C.F. of |a -b|, |b – c| and |c – a| = H.C.F. of |355 – 54|, |54 – 103| and |103 – 355| = 301, 49, 252 = 7
L.C.M. of 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 is 180. So, the bells will toll together after every 180 seconds(3 minutes). In 60 minutes, they will toll together (60/3)+1 = 21 times.
The smallest 5-digit number 10000. 10000 when divided by 11, leaves a remainder of 1 Hence add (11 – 1) = 10 to 10000 Therefore, 10010 is the smallest 5 digit number exactly divisible by 11
As Therefore the given expression = (121 + 353) = 474
Decimal of 10 hours in a minute = 10 / (60 x 60) = 0.0027
Let the total work to be done is, say, 30 units. A does the work in 10 days, So A’s 1-day work = (30 / 10) = 3 units B does the work in 15 days, So B’s 1-day work = (30 / 15) = 2 units Therefore, A’s and B’s together 1-day work = (3 + 2) = 5 units In 3 days, work done = 5 * 3 = 15 units amount of work left = 30 – 15 = 15 units Therefore the % of work left after 3 days = (15 / 30) * 100% = 50%
Pump fills the tank in 1 hour Time taken by Pump to fill due to leak = 1.5 hour Therefore, in 1 hour, the amount of tank that the Pump can fill at this rate = 1 / (1.5) = 2/3 Amount of water drained by the leak in 1 hour = (1 – (2/3)) = 1/3 Therefore, the tank will be completely drained by the leak in (1 / (1/3)) = 3 hours
Let the total work to be done is, say, 60 units. A fills the tank in 20 minutes, So A’s 1-minute work = (60 / 20) = 3 units B fills the tank in 30 minutes, So B’s 1-minute work = (60 / 30) = 2 units Therefore, A’s and B’s together 1-minute work = (3 + 2) = 5 units Let the time when A and B both are opened be x minutes and Since the total time taken to fill the tank is 15 minutes Therefore, an expression can be formed as 5x + 3(15 – x) = 15 => x = 7.5 Therefore, the B is turned off after 7.5 minutes
Current run rate = 4.5 in 6 overs Runs already made = 4.5 * 6 = 27 Target = 153 Runs still required = 153 – 27 = 126 Overs left = 14 Therefore required run rate = 126 / 14 = 9
Let the 9 numbers be smaller than zero and let their sum be ‘s’ Now, in order to get the average 0, the 10th number can be ‘-s’ Therefore, average = (s + (-s))/10 = 0/10 = 0
Verbal Reasoning
Directions to solve Question 1 and 2: Read each sentence to find out whether there is any grammatical error in it. The error, if any will be in one part of the sentence. If there is no error, the answer is ‘D’. Ignore the errors of punctuation, if any.
- How many times
- was you frustrated while looking out
- for a good collection of x
- programming/algorithm/interview questions?
were you frustrated while looking out
- What did you expected
- and what did you get?
What did you expect
Directions to solve Question 3 and 4: Choose the word from the options that can best express the meaning of the given word
Directions to solve Question 5 and 6: Choose the word from the options that can best complete the sentence meaningfully.
Directions to solve Question 7 and 8: Choose the word from the options that can best express the opposite of the given word
Directions to solve Question 9 and 10: Choose the word from the options that can be substituted for the given phrase/sentence
- Nomenclature
- Ophthalmology
- Ornithology
Logical Reasoning
3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17 is a prime number series. Hence next prime number in this series is 19
12*2+1 =25 25*2-1 = 49 49*2+1 = 99 395*2-1 = 789
Directions to solve Question 3 and 4: Each of the questions given below consists of a statement and/or a question and two statements numbered I and II given below it. You have to decide whether the data provided in the statement(s) is/are sufficient to answer the given question. Read both the statements and Give answer (a) if the data in Statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question, while the data in Statement II alone is not sufficient to answer the question. (b) if the data in Statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question, while the data in Statement I alone is not sufficient to answer the question. (c) if the data in each Statement I and Statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question. (d) if the data even in both Statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question. (e) if the data in both Statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.
Given Statement II => x 2 – 3y 2 = 0 => x 2 = 3y 2 Putting the above in the question => (x 2 + y 2 ) 1/2 => (3y 2 + y 2 ) 1/2 => (4y 2 ) 1/2 => ((2y) 2 ) 1/2 => (2y) which is an integer as y is an integer
Given Statement I, 17th, of the month, is Saturday. Therefore 14th will be Wednesday
- If only assumption I is implicit
- If only assumption II is implicit.
- If either I or II is implicit.
- If neither I nor II is implicit.
- If both I and II are implicit.
Both the statements are implicit because since Ram is newly appointed in this company, so at the time of appointment, the performance of Ram is not well known. Also, they have to test performance over a span of time. So Ram (systems engineer) tries to prove his worth generally in the probation period. So, option (E) is correct.
The Assumption I might or might not be true according to the given Statement, but the Assumption II is definitely true. Hence only Assumption II is implicit.
- only conclusion I is true.
- only conclusion II is true.
- either conclusion I or conclusion II is true
- neither conclusion I nor conclusion II is true
- both conclusions I and II are true.
Some C might or might not be M. But some M are definitely T.
The given series is prime numbers from 23
Mixture of two alternate series: 8*3=24 24/2=12 12*3=36 36/2=18 18*3=54 54/2=27

- Difficulty: Moderate-High
- Marking Scheme: No Negative Marking
1. During the Corona pandemic, a Cargo plane is rising vertically with a velocity of 10 m/s. It has reached a certain height when the pilot drops baggage, which takes 4 sec to hit the ground. Assuming that there is no resistance to the motion of the baggage, the height of the place, and the velocity of the baggage on impact with the ground are:
38.4 m, 28.7 m/s
38.4 m, 29.2 m/s
26.5 m, 13.5 m/s
26.5 m, 28.7 m/s
Option( B ) is correct
The baggage will move up with the initial velocity of 10 m/s till it comes to rest. Time taken is given by:
\Rightarrow t = \frac{10}{9.8}sec
Time taken to reach the ground from the highest point:
4- \frac{10}{9.8}
\frac{29.2}{9.8}sec
The velocity of baggage on impact
0+9.8\times \left ( \frac{29.2}{9.8} \right )
If 'h' is the height from which the coin dropped.
29.2^{2}- 10^{2}= 2\times 9.8\times h
⇒h = 38.4 m
2. By selling 45 lemon candy for Rs 40, Sharukh Khan loses 20%. How many should he sell for Rs 24 to gain 20% in the transaction?
Explanation:
Let S.P. of 45 lemon candy be Rs. x.
Then, 80 : 40 = 120 : x or x = \frac{40\times 120}{80}= 60
For Rs.60, lemons sold = 45
For Rs.24, lemons sold= \frac{45}{60}\times 24= 18
3. Virat Kohli's average run-in 10 innings in Twenty- Twenty was 32. How many runs must he make in his next innings so as to increase his average of runs by 4?
Average = total runs / no.of innings = 32
So, total = Average x no.of innings = 32 x 10 = 320.
Now increase in avg = 4runs. So, new avg = 32+4 = 36runs
Total runs = new avg x new no. of innings = 36 x 11 = 396
Runs made in the 11th inning = 396 - 320 = 76
4. 3.\bar{87}- 2.\bar{59}
3.\bar{87}- 2.\bar{59}= (3+ 0.\bar{87})- (2+0.\bar{59})
\left ( 3+\frac{87}{99} \right )- \left ( 2-\frac{59}{99} \right )
1+\left ( \frac{87}{99} - \frac{59}{99}\right )
1+\frac{28}{99}
5. One card is drawn at random from a pack of 52 cards. What is the probability that the card drawn is a face card (Jack, Queen and King only)?
Clearly, there are 52 cards, out of which there are 12 face cards.
P (getting a face card) = \frac{12}{52} = \frac{3}{13}
6. Tara Sutaria invested a sum of money at CI. It amounted to Rs 2420 in 2 years and Rs 2662 in 3 years. Find the rate of percent per annum.
Solution: Last year interest = 2662 - 2420 = Rs 242 Therefore, Rate% = (242 * 100)/(2420 * 1) R% = 10%
--> 6 workers complete some work in 10 hours.
--> 1 worker completes the same work in 60 hours.
--> Let the total work be equivalent to 60 man-hours.
--> From 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, all 6 workers work together for 6 hours.
--> Amount of work done by 6 workers in 6 hours is 6 * 6 = 36 man-hours
--> From 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm, 7 man-hours of work will be done.
--> From 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm, 8 man-hours of work will be done.
--> From 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm, 9 man-hours of work will be done.
--> Thus, total amount of work done up to 6.00 pm is 36 + 7 + 8 + 9 = 60 man-hours
--> Thus, the mercedes will be assembled at 6.00 pm.
--> Hence, option C is correct.
8. If \sqrt{2n} =64, then the value of n is:
