Below is a quick, everything-you-need-to-know guide on assignments in Microsoft Teams. Let’s get started!

Create an Assignment in Microsoft Teams

To begin creating assignments in Microsoft Teams, you first need to be sure of two things:

  • You are logged in with a Microsoft EDU account
  • The Team you have created is a Class Team type

If both of those things are complete you will be able to see the Assignments tab on the side ribbon and on the top ribbon in the General channel. If you need help getting to know the interface and basics of Teams, check out our Teams Guide for Teachers.

there are two places to access Assignments in Microsoft Teams. The side panel and in the General Channel.

Start a New Assignment

Now, to create your assignment, click on the Assignments tab from the top ribbon under your General Channel. Click Create , and then Assignment , to begin your first assignment. You can explore creating a quiz with the help of Microsoft Forms and creating an assignment based on a pre-existing assignment another time.

Create an assignment

Add Assignment Details

In your new assignment, add a title and a description to let your students know what to do to complete the assignment.

If you prefer to attach the instructions as a document, or have supporting materials to the assignment, you can attach them under the Add Resources link. Teams allows you to attach files in many different ways: through your OneDrive, ClassNoteBook, from a link, by creating a new file, or from uploading a document from your computer.

When you attach a resource, you have the option to allow students to edit it or not. By default, they cannot edit; however, if you prefer to change this, just click on the three dots at the end of the resource and click, Students edit their own copy. Now, when students edit this file, a new copy will be made for them, and it is automatically attached to this assignment for an easy turn-in.

Set Points and a Rubric

To easily grade this assignment in Teams, assign the number of points it is worth, or add a rubric . Similar to creating assignments, you can use a pre-existing rubric, upload one, or create a new one.

Creating a new rubric is very customizable so you are able to add all the information your students need to complete the assignment. Just add a title , and a description , then fill in the rest of the rubric. If you need more categories , just click the plus button at the end of the columns, or after the bottom row. In addition, you can assign points to each category of the rubric.

Choose Students to Assign the Work to

The next step in creating an assignment is to assign it to your students. You can assign it to all of them, or a certain student(s) for more individualized work. Just click Assign to All, or go through the list and click the students you would like to assign this to.

Give a Due Date & Close Date

In Teams, there are two different categories of dates for when the assignment is due.

Due Date: This is when the assignment is due, however, students are still able to turn in the assignment late, after the due date has passed.

Close Date: This is when the assignment closes and no more submissions are allowed.

To set both of these, and schedule this assignment for the future, click Edit under the Due Date section. To set a Close Date , click the checkbox on the side and set the date.

When all of your setups are complete, back at the top of the page, click assign, or save for later if it still needs a bit more work.

How Students Can Turn in Assignments

After you assign an assignment, students will receive a notification. They are able to view the assignment in the General Channel or on the Assignment tabs.

The student’s view of the assignment is very similar to the teacher’s view. They will see the Due Date and Close Date, the instructions, any files you have attached, and a rubric if there is one.

Students can begin their assignments right away in Teams if you have attached a document for them to work on. In the example below, students would be using PowerPoint on their desktops simultaneously with ClassPoint to make their presentations more interactive. As they work, their changes will be saved automatically. If you don’t have a document attached, students can upload and attach their work instead.

When they have completed their work, they just need to click Turn In. They will see a fun animation appear indicating the turn-in is successful.

why can't i view assignments on teams

How to Grade Assignments

Once students have turned in their work, you will receive a notification. Now, you can easily look over and grade their work. Click into an assignment to view how many students have turned in their work, how many need grading, and how many you have already graded.

To grade an assignment, click on the Turned in status. Here, you are able to view their work alongside a tab for you to give them feedback. If you have a rubric , it will open for you to assign the points for each category. Scrolling down, you can leave feedback to let them know what they excelled at and what needs more work.

why can't i view assignments on teams

When the grading is completed, you can return it to the student. They can view your feedback, make changes, and turn it in again if necessary.

To easily jump between students for a continuous grading experience, click the arrows on the side of the student’s name, or click on the student’s name for a drop-down menu of your other students.

why can't i view assignments on teams

Export Grade Data

In Teams, it is really easy to export data, especially for assignments. You can export data for certain assignments, in addition to exporting all assignments and student grade data. This can be done from the Grades pivot on the top toolbar. You will see a complete list of your students, and of each assignment on this tab that you have assigned throughout the year.

Frequently Asked Questions

And that completes this tutorial on Assignments in Microsoft Teams! There is plenty you can do with this feature on Teams to make it suitable for your students and classroom. Enjoy using it to its fullest potential.

We have put together some frequently asked questions in case you still have some lingering questions before you get started!

What if I don’t see the Assignments tab?

If you don’t see the Assignment tab on the top ribbon in your General channel, or on the side ribbon, you are not logged in with a Microsoft EDU account. Create your own, or get in touch with your IT department for your login.

Students can still turn in Assignments after the Due Date has passed, but once the Close Date has passed, no more submissions are allowed.

Not necessarily. You can return all assignments to the students so that they can see your feedback. If you want a student to redo the assignment, you should let them know in your feedback.

Can I attach a PDF for my students to edit to the assignment?

You can do this through your Class Notebook! Insert the PDF to a Class Notebook page and set it as the background. Then, you can assign this page to your students.

Watch this for a visual guide on how to insert a PDF to a Class Notebook page.

Can I assign an assignment to a certain channel?

Unfortunately, no. You can only assign to the General Channel, which is all your students, or assign to individual students when setting up the assignment.

Mariners Designate Ty France For Assignment; Place Julio Rodríguez, J.P. Crawford On Injured List

By Darragh McDonald | July 23, 2024 at 5:55pm CDT

The Mariners’ roster got a major shakeup today, with the club announcing a huge slate of moves. First baseman Ty France was designated for assignment while shortstop J.P. Crawford and outfielder Julio Rodríguez each landed on the 10-day injured list. Crawford has a right hand fracture while Rodríguez has a right high ankle sprain. In corresponding moves, the club recalled infielders Tyler Locklear , Leo Rivas and outfielder Cade Marlowe .

The writing seemed to be on the wall for France a few days ago. Seattle placed the 2022 All-Star on outright waivers earlier this week in hopes that another club would claim the remainder of his $6.775MM salary. Earlier today, Chris Cotillo of MassLive reported on X that France had gone unclaimed on waivers.

The Mariners didn’t have to outright France to a minor league affiliate — they could have simply decided to keep him on the roster, as the Blue Jays did with Kevin Kiermaier earlier this month when he also cleared waivers — but it seems they are committed to moving on.

Now that he’s been designated for assignment, he’s off the 40-man roster and they will technically have some time to explore trade scenarios. With France clearing waivers, the M’s at least know that they can’t just get rid of his salary, though they could perhaps eat some of that as a means of facilitating a deal. France has enough service time to reject an outright assignment in favor of free agency while retaining the remainder of his salary, so he’ll likely end up released if no trade is worked out in the coming days.

From 2020-22, the thought of placing France on waivers would’ve seemed silly. The former Padres prospect went from San Diego to Seattle as part of the Austin Nola trade at the 2020 deadline and posted a terrific .284/.354/.441 slash (127 wRC+) with 40 homers, 64 doubles and three triples. France had posted strong offense throughout his minor league tenure but drew concern from scouts about his lack of an obvious defensive home. He worked himself into a fine defender at first base though, posting average or better marks there up until an across-the-board decline this season.

France’s glove isn’t the only thing that’s taken a step back. He was barely a league-average hitter in 2023 and has seen his production dwindle further in 2024. Over his past 1005 big league plate appearances, he’s posted a punchless .241/.328/.361 slash. France is still getting on base at a decent clip, but his strikeout rate has spiked from 16.4% (2020-22) to 24.4% in 2024. This year’s 19.7% line-drive rate is a personal low, and France’s 46.3% grounder rate is the second-highest mark of his career. For a player whose average sprint speed ranks in the seventh percentile of MLB hitters (via Statcast), an uptick in grounders is particularly problematic.

Though his recent play hasn’t been up to his prior standards, France has plenty of track record. He’s been a solid right-handed bat who’s primarily played first base in the majors but has dabbled at the opposite infield corner and at second base as well. If he ends up released, a new team could sign France and would only owe him the prorated league minimum for any time spent on the big league roster, as the Mariners will remain on the hook for the rest of this year’s salary.

France would also be controllable for a new club through the 2025 campaign. He opened the current season with 4.089 years of MLB service and has already added another 117 days. That’ll push him to five-plus years. A new team could go through the arbitration process with him this offseason, or they could push for a more palatable club option to be tacked on, as the Tigers did with Carson Kelly last August following his release with the D-backs.

Crawford was hit by a pitch on the hand in last night’s game and suffered a fracture. Rodríguez collided with the outfield wall on Sunday while attempting to make a catch and was visibly injured, with video relayed on X by Fox Sports MLB.

It’s unclear how long the Mariners expect to be without those two players, but they are notable blows for a club that has already been plummeting of late. Just over a month ago, the club had a ten-game lead in the American League West. But some poor play from Seattle combined with a hot streak from the Astros now have the M’s percentage points behind Houston and also 3.5 games back of a Wild Card spot.

The timing of the injuries is not only unfortunate for that reason but also because Rodríguez was starting to heat up after a rough first half. He was hitting just .247/.297/.327 for a wRC+ of 83 through the end of June but had slashed .375/.434/.688 since the calendar flipped to July. That resurgence will now have to be put on hold for as long as he’s out.

Crawford has been scuffling this year as well, though luck could be a big factor there. He is slashing .204/.299/.347 on the year but his .243 batting average is well below his .293 career rate and the .289 league average in 2024. That has dragged his offense from last year’s 134 wRC+ to 90 this year, though he’s still been able to contribute by stealing five bases and providing above average shortstop defense. Ideally, his luck would have evened out in time but he won’t have that opportunity for as long as he’s on the IL.

The M’s will now have to try to pull themselves out of this tailspin without contributions from France, Crawford or Rodríguez. Locklear is covering first base today and could get some regular run there going forward, with Jason Vosler perhaps factoring in as well. Utility player Dylan Moore is at shortstop in tonight’s lineup and may be the regular there, with Rivas backing him up. Víctor Robles is in center field and figures to be joined in the club’s outfield mix by Canzone, Luke Raley , Mitch Haniger and Jonatan Clase .

With the trade deadline now just a week away, the Mariners figure to be looking for more offense in general and it’s been reported that they will be aggressive in doing so. At this point, there’s nothing to suggest that either Crawford or Rodríguez is facing a significant absence but it nonetheless could heighten the club’s focus on adding a bat or two. The Mariners are hitting a collective .217/.298/.364 this year for a 93 wRC+, which places them 22nd in the league.

In a normal year this would be a season killer. But this year…. none of these guys can hit anyway

' src=

Its not fair to lump Julio in with “everyone else” on the roster. He is an average hitter. 101 wRC+. This is his worst year thus far and has looked “terrible” by Julio standards. So yes, he is not doing great like always, but he is not terrible and cannot hit like some of the other players on this roster.

' src=

Agreed. Plus, his defense in CF is fantastic.

' src=

Relative to expectations Rodriguez is a huge disappointment.

' src=

Julio’s July has been more in line with his first two seasons, so this is a huge loss for Seattle, even if it’s just 10 days.

' src=

Nationals fans greatly note the irony of Victor Robles experiencing any kind of uptick in prominence with these developments.

When’s the Kraken’s season start?

' src=

When does Seahawk training camp start?

' src=

We always the Huskies going for that Pac 12 championship..oh wait.

' src=

Which contract will end up worse, Julio Rodriguez or Jackson churio?

' src=

Man if j rod stays like this for his career that would be a horrible contract

At least it has a ton of opt outs

' src=

The adjustments in season he eventually makes later in the season do become successful and are meaningful; however, there haven’t been successful adjustments to his game during the offseason.

One area with bleakness has been expansion of his zone. This should’ve been an area of weakness he should’ve been closing. Instead its become his Achilles heel.

' src=

I think Chourio, because of Julio’s size and power while still demonstrating plus plus defense, it’s a generational combo. But they’ll both be well above average return on investment for the teams that have them. The pre-arbitration contracts are strategically deflated to figure in for development and injury, since the teams have the leverage of years of salary control to bargain with. If you get a deeply pre-arbitration all-star in your system, you make these 8 and 10 year depressed contract offers 100 times out of 100. Conversely, look at what the Padres are paying Tatis to play 80 games a year. Everyone can get injured, so take the discount, and pray for health

' src=

What about Corbin Carroll?

What about everyone that has an expensive contract that is underperforming?

' src=

Chourio has been hitting well since start of June. Not surprised he struggled his first 2 months as a 20 year old.

' src=

Unfortunate injury timing compounded with underperformance. Rough times for Mariners fans indeed. Hopefully your trade deadline brings a few nice bats back for a serious run at the playoffs.

Honestly, the only injury of consequence is Julio. And hopefully he’ll he back after the 10 days. But the rest of the roster is so bad, idk that we would see anything difference from the AAA roster coming up to replace them all. They have been that bad, especially of late.

True on all accounts I suppose. Their deadline outlook will look alot like the Rangers I imagine. That is, in the sense that their position as buyers/sellers will depend on how they play in the next 4-5 days.

' src=

If the trades don’t include a properly angled batter’s eye, will it matter?

' src=

Seattle looking more and more as sellers. I’d hate to see them give up top prospects to miss out on the playoffs by a game yet again.

Last year they traded FOR prospects and gave up big league talent to miss the playoffs by a game. Very different situation.

' src=

Indeed, Blackpink. This is what happens when you can’t sign the best free agents for two off-seasons in a row. But this has to be make-or-break for this ownership group and front office (and the most profitable team in MLB) to prove their commitment to winning a World Series. Purge the farm and get the best batters and relievers out there. Don’t strain your eyes looking at a prospect and assuming he’s the next unicorn. And don’t sign another guy on the downside of his career thinking he’ll bounce back in a cavernous ballpark. Finally, this off-season, build an innovative retractable fence system (like the roof) that moves in by 10 feet from March to May and after Labor Day to account for the worst of the marine layer. Then show FA hitters how much better their life is going to be. T-Mobile drove away Junior back in the day. Maybe a smaller version will draw some guys back.

How about dont purge the farm but at the same time make prospects except cole young colt Emerson laz Montes and Celesten available

We don’t want to be the angels or padres now…

No, I mean purge the farm for the right price. Obviously, those guys will require better major league return. But honestly, both the Padres and the Angels have made the WS (and the Angels won one), so I’d rather be them than us.

Who would they sell?

Haniger? Garver? Polanco? Good luck! They players they want to keep are controllable.

You can bet they tried to shop France before they put him on waivers.

' src=

A game out of first place and they’re going to be sellers???

At least you showed you don’t know much about baseball

They’re actually tied for first.

Apparently you don’t know this team very well…the front office rarely makes meaningful acquisitions, so yeah they’re sellers, before they reach the cellar.

They probably won’t do anything with giving up prospects. They’ll just flame out, like the dumpster fire their lineup is.

' src=

Locklear is the only one of those 3 that can hit.

' src=

I was hoping SEA would have called up Ryan Bliss to replace Crawford, but he was just sent down yesterday. Is there a rule that he has to stay down a certain # of days before he can be recalled again?

(Asking for selfish reasons, he’s on my fantasy team and I need the steals!)

' src=

There’s a 10 day minimum for position players. But it’s waived if they need to be called back up as an injury replacement.

' src=

He has to stay down for a minimum of 10 days. However, he is eligible to be immediately recalled if he is replacing a player that was placed on the IL.

Moore is going to take SS while JP is out and they want a better defensive option if they need one. Rivas is the better defensive SS.

It’s not about the rules, as others have already explained. It’s about defense.

I’m glad to see Marlowe back into the big leagues, he is unfazed and performed well in clutch situations last season

' src=

Julio is a one year wonder

He had a really good sophomore season in addition to his RoY finish

good point, he is a two year wonder

' src=

He’s already started turning it around and is now an above league average hitter this season so maybe 2.1 year wonder. And we can check back at the end of the year and see if he’s a 2.5 year wonder, which he very well might be considering his 2nd halves of both the previous two seasons have been better than his 1st halves.

' src=

Um, talk about burying the lede… the M’s just lost J-Rod for at least 2-3 weeks!!! France wasn’t doing anything so it’s not like his absence in the lineup will have a huge effect. J-Rod is the best player on the team, and now he’s out. I could see Trader Jerry go either way at this point: either make an all-out attempt to salvage the season or try to get what he can for the assets he doesn’t want for next year.

' src=

Paul Dejong would be a great fit in Seattle.

That’s what Toronto thought last year when bichette went down

He didn’t even last a month in Toronto after the trade

' src=

What a tough situation for the M’s. One that the field players/hitters on this team have put them in. Before Julio and JP went down they needed at least two bats, if not more. With so many teams in the Wild card mix, there may not be many hitters that can make a difference available and now with the team struggling worst then ever, is it worth it to go and trade top prospects? Maybe only for controllable players that they will have next year? If they feel that they are not good enough and cannot get the bats to get this done and do not make a difference making trade, I am concerned that the fanbase is going to again accuse them of not caring enough, not wiling to spend money, The Free Agent market for hitters in 2025 is not great, I do like Santander, Alonso, Adames, Kim and a few others but can they get them to even come play at T Mobile Park? Man this is getting ugly….Please, Please everyone get hot at the plate at the same time, starting tonight! Your schedule is as get as it gets going forward.

What makes me angry as a mariners fan is that money matters more than winning

How come we have had a higher payroll in rebuilding seasons than contending seasons like today?

' src=

That is why I am a Yankee fan that lives in Seattle. A team that is top 10 in revenue and bottom 10 in spending is not a team I will support.

I’d rather die suffering from a cheap owner than take the easy way out and root for the Yankees!

Not me. I like that my team tries to win. It makes watching baseball fun. It sucks knowing that no matter how hard I “root”, ownership does not prioritize winning. It is a shame that the fans and players want to win, but ownership couldn’t give a flying Wallenda. Go M’s!

They’re more like 17th in spending. Which is still lame and not worthy of support.

I think with a little hard work at the trade deadline, they can get into the low to mid 20s!

' src=

JP hasn’t been anything special by a long way this year.

' src=

Another loss for the “I guarantee he won’t make it through waivers” crowd.

Sell the team Stanton!!

I agree C Us

' src=

Edwin Rios?

' src=

your chat bot code needs some debugging.

I asked, liar.

Bootie isn’t a word

' src=

These Mariners are sunk!

' src=

M’s front office were already looking for excuses to sell. They definitely will not buy if they continue to play like this. Yet another year of the core wasted.

Time to DFA Scott Servais and Jerry Dipoto. This major league lineup is embarrassing. Too bad John Stanton and the rest of the ownership group is asleep at the wheel.

SELL THE TEAM

Absolutely agree with your comments. Ownership needs to quit leading the fan base on like they care. They’re cheap, only care about their profits, and winning is NOT a priority. Sell the team Stanton!!

' src=

J-Rod has been extremely disappointing this year. The Mariners are sinking fast as the Rangers and Astros are gaining ground while the Mariners stumble.

Is it time for Seattle to hit the Reset button? Or will they go all in?

' src=

What do you think we could get for Castillo and Woo or Miller? That would leave us with 3 strong starters and give us a haul of major league ready offense.

' src=

Cade Marlowe striking out damn near a third of the time in the PCL. Yikes. Sure to fit right in.

' src=

If he elects free agency and the Mariners are on the hook for the rest of the deal, the Nats should sign France. Meneses is basically done, so the only 1B they have is former Cardinal Juan Yepez. Their 1B prospect Yohandy Morales has been on the IL in AA since May. He’s not going to be a factor until 2026 at least.

If France can figure out and fix what went wrong, great. If not, they’re only on the hook for the prorated minimum.

' src=

Just curious….would you M’s fans trade Julio R for Elly dela cruz? Im a Reds fan.

M’s fan here. I think they are both studs. Elly is the more exciting player for sure but I’m very happy Julio will likely spend his whole career or at least his prime in Seattle. So much exciting young talent in the league right now!

' src=

3 years ago, Ty France is the 2nd coming. Today, he is tossed aside like yesterdays news. France out, Nola also done.

Saw the game tonight. This, at the moment, is a team full of Felix Hernandezes. One bad inning and you’re done. Plus, the defense was like a Little League game. Who tackles a runner rounding third? Whose throws from third were adventures every play? And that’s a starter! Front office has known about the hitting problems since April and still isn’t budging. They got me again. It’s all Lucy pulling the football. And the greatest rotation this team has ever seen will finish third, unless some major risk (purging the prospects for major league hitters) happens now.

Note: Texas, as bad as they’ve been, is 3 games back.

Here's what College Football 25 players added with Team Builder, from Big East to Minions

EA Sports launched the Team Builder function for College Football 25 . It didn't take long for some entertaining new teams to be added to the highly popular video game .

The last version of the game, NCAA Football 14, allowed users to make their own schools and design logos, uniforms and stadiums to play as in Dynasty Mode , which meant they could turn a made-up team into a national champion. Or they could re-create their smaller school that wasn't in the game and upgrade them to an FBS power conference.

When College Football 25 was announced, EA Sports said all 134 FBS schools would be included, but none of the 129 FCS teams. That changed with Thursday's release of the new Team Builder. Players with a registered EA account can now go to the Team Builder website and upload their own logos to create a team. They can also choose to share those teams to be used by other players.

And players have been extremely creative in the first 24 hours of the service. How many of these designs remain will depend on just how stringent EA will be regarding copyright law. But here's a glimpse of what teams, real and fictional, have been put into College Football 25 and shared over social media:

COLLEGE FOOTBALL 25 TEAM BUILDER DEEP DIVE

Create your own dream team with team builder in ea sports college football ‘25..

Hey College Football Fans, welcome back to the Campus Huddle! We have one last topic prior to the worldwide launch of EA SPORTS™ College Football 25 tonight. Did you think that we forgot about Team Builder?

The most important thing to know is Team Builder for College Football 25 will arrive later TONIGHT on web! Before we let you in to create your dream team, let's see what is in store for you.

BUILDING TEAM BUILDER

When the Team Builder tool was unveiled back in 2009, millions of fans were able to bring their custom creations to the field. Now, with the release of EA SPORTS™ College Football 25 we’re thrilled to be able to bring back this feature which was beloved by so many.

When the return of our College Football 25 was confirmed, it became clear that fans wanted Team Builder to return as well. One of the first things we did as a team was figure out what it would take to bring the feature back, and to improve upon what we had already built.

We met with creators, spent hours rewatching many different Team Builder videos, read blogs and wish lists, and even hired people from within the community to help design and build Team Builder. One of the first people brought back onto the team was Senior Engineer Chris Markuck, who was one of the original architects of Team Builder in 2009. When Chris got word that Team Builder was coming back, it was an easy decision for him to return to EA and lead the charge of bringing one of the community’s favorite features back.

Our approach to Team Builder centered around three core pillars. First it was about creating a Deep Creation Suite where our players felt a strong sense of ownership and were empowered to create and customize their schools more than ever before. Our second pillar was Discover & Share , which was about making it easy to discover great content and content creators, as well as providing the ability to share your creations with others. Finally, our third pillar was about Elevating Creators where we wanted to celebrate creators for their creative accomplishments.

With our three core pillars in mind, let’s dive into the details where we will outline how you can create teams using the Team Builder website and import them into your Dynasty.

ACCESSING THE WEBSITE

To access the website, you’ll need to create or use your EA Account information to log in. After that, you’ll utilize the College Football URL to access Team Builder for College Football 25.

This main screen is where we showcase and elevate all the work done by our most devoted fans. You’ll be able to see the top downloaded and highest-rated teams by members of the community. We’ve also made it easier to search for existing content. In addition, our filters allow you to sort by uniform provider or by state. Think you’ve got what it takes to make it to the top of the list?

CREATING A BRAND AND IDENTITY

After selecting “Start Creating,” the first thing you’ll be tasked with is creating your school’s identity and brand. This is where you’ll get to define the basics of your program, like its name, nickname, logos, uniform provider, and team colors.

For logos, you will be able to add a primary, secondary, and tertiary logo. Your primary logo is what will be used throughout the in-game UI in Dynasty mode. Your secondary and tertiary logos will be able to be added to your uniform and field. As a part of your logo creation, you will be able to upload your own logos or choose from one of our recolorable generic logos.

In College Football 25’s Team Builder you will be able to select Nike, Adidas, or Under Armour as your uniform provider. This will impact the equipment your players wear, the name and number fonts you can choose from, as well as what jersey and pant stitch pattern your team uses. For example, if you select Nike you will be able to choose from the Vapor Fusion and Vapor Untouchable jersey stitch patterns. The stitch pattern you select will change which stripe patterns that are available and compatible with that stitching.

When selecting your team colors, you can utilize the eyedropper tool to set the team colors from your primary logo. For more advanced users, you can customize each color’s hue, saturation, brightness, Hex, or RGB value. We’ve also provided all existing school team colors under Presets.

In an age where teams are constantly trying to expand and modernize their uniform suite, we wanted to give users the ability to reflect that in their work. To give users the ultimate amount of customization, we’ve expanded the amount of uniform presets you can have to 5 total. If you’re counting socks, that means your team can have up to 5 helmets, 5 jerseys, 5 pants, and 5 socks or 625 uniform combinations, giving you the ability to showcase new looks on the field each game.

Before we go into how you can customize the various uniform parts, let’s orient you to the preview area. This is where you can navigate the camera to rotate the parts of the uniform you are editing. In the center of the screen, is the preview area, utilizing the mouse button you can scroll around the assets horizontally or vertically. Or zoom in and out using the scroll wheel. There are auto preset camera controls that you can select that will auto focus to various angles for you to view your creations. Test around as you desire.

Once in the editor, the helmet is the first part of the uniform that you can customize. Start by choosing your base color and then choose your reflectiveness. For the helmet reflectiveness, you can choose from matte, shiny, or chrome. In addition to customizing the base helmet shell reflectiveness, in the accessories section you can change the color and reflectiveness of the facemask, chinstrap strap and cup, front bumper, and back bumper.

Once you’ve customized the base helmet shell, it’s time to start decorating it with logos and stripes. Begin by choosing your helmet stripe from one of our available presets and customize its color. If you’d like to add helmet numbers you can do that too. We’ve added four preset placement options (front, back, left side, and right side), but you can also use the advanced placement editor to customize the size, position, and spacing to place them anywhere on the helmet.

Now let’s talk about where the fun really begins with custom layers.

CUSTOM LAYERS

No modern uniform editor would be complete without the ability to incorporate custom designs and logos. So we’re giving users the ability to add custom layers onto each element of the uniform. Under “Custom Layers'' for helmets, for example, you’re able to add up to 7 custom layers on the helmet, each having their own unique properties and placement options on the helmet. For each layer, you will have the ability to choose from one of our existing assets or upload your own image. You can then customize the finish of that layer choosing between shiny, matte, satin, or chrome.

Adjusting the logo once it’s on the helmet is easy. You can adjust the dimensions, flip or rotate it, and place it in the exact spot you want. This is the same functionality for both titles. You will even be able to customize the reflectiveness of every single logo!

Customizing the Jersey represents a big area of opportunity. For College, you’ll have the ability to select from Adidas, Nike, or Under Armour, to better represent the wide variety of uniforms used at the FBS level and beyond.

Based on your apparel brand that you selected, you’ll have a specific set of Jersey stitch patterns, or chassis, available for you to start with. Once you select the stitch pattern, you’ll then have that provider’s real-life stripes, designs, cuffs, collars, and fonts available to you. Note that certain chassis go with specific stripe patterns and designs.

For college, the design team has worked closely with all 3 providers with authenticity in mind. And if we’re missing something? Don’t worry. We’re working closely with each company to release additional post-launch content throughout the year to give users more ways to create the perfect look.

There’s still room for customization if you’d like to add your own personal touch. Don’t forget you can still add layers on the jersey asset. So if you want to put your team name on the front of the jersey or have a unique design running down the sides of your jersey, it’s all available to you. Just make sure to save so you don’t lose your work!

PANTS/SOCKS

After you’ve completed the perfect jersey, it’s time to work on the pants. You’ll have plenty of stripes to choose from, as decided by the provider. You still have the ability to add layers to your pants, as well as set the color of the accessories.

For the socks, you’ll be able to set the color on the “Oversock”, the color of the “Base/Undersock '' and the Brand color on the sock on the collegiate site. And just like that, you’ve completed your first uniform set! But you’ve still got more work to do.

GOTTA HAVE ALTERNATIVES

Creating an alternate uniform is easy. Let’s say you want to create a set that’s the same as your away uniform but with different colors. When you’re creating one of the uniform elements like helmets or jerseys, select the Preview Uniform option in the right-hand corner.

When you’re creating one of the uniform elements like helmets or jerseys, select the Preview Uniform option in the right-hand corner.

Then, click the plus sign and select Duplicate from “Away” to pull over all the existing designs, and name the new uniform. Then you can close preview, select the new alternate at the top, and get to editing!

YOUR OWN HOME FIELD

Now that your team is swagged out with the perfect uniform suite, it’s time to create the perfect home stadium. You’ll have 8 components of your stadium that you can set: Stadium, Crowd, Surface, Logos, Endzone, Numbers, Sidelines, and Benches. Each component has unique properties that you can set.

Start by choosing from one of the existing 134 team stadiums and rename it to be your own. With your stadium set, it’s time to customize your crowd. You can set the primary and secondary color your crowd wears on gameday. Want everyone to do a white out every Saturday? Set both your primary and secondary crowd colors to white. You can also adjust the percentage of the crowd that wears each color by adjusting the slider.

Once your stadium and crowd are locked in, it’s time to customize your field. Start by selecting whether your field is grass or turf, as well as its color. You can choose a natural field color or go crazy with any color you can think of. Next add logos to your field. We’ve added preset locations at midfield and the 25/20 yard-lines for you to quickly create your field. With that being said, if you want to go deeper with customization you can add up to 5 custom layers and place those logos anywhere on the field. For your endzones, you can choose from one of the existing endzone designs and recolor it or you can build your own custom endzone with custom layers.

With your base field in place, put the finishing touches on it by customizing your field number font, the number position , the number frequency (every 10 yards or every 5 yards), the arrow position (top, center, or bottom), whether a G appears at the goal line, and the number color and outline. Additionally, you can color the 20 and 50 yard lines, as well as the goal line. Lastly, customize your field sidelines and bench areas. Both options allow you to choose from one of our existing recolorable templates.

PROGRAM/FRANCHISE

The last piece is the players. On the last tab, you’ll have the opportunity to modify the players that will play for you on the field.

On the College Football 25 side, you’ll be able to set your playbooks and select from 7 generic roster types that you can further adjust to fit your playing style. You want to adjust your starting running back to be a 5 '5, 350-lb bowling ball? Or how about a pair of 6’8 receivers on the outside. Go for it.

Once you are satisfied with your creation, you are ready to submit and publish your team. Hit the submit button and this will take you to a Preview Screen where an overview is presented for approval. After you review all your uniforms and team data, you will publish the team that you can jump over to the console and import into your College Dynasties!

DOWNLOAD CENTER

Now it’s time for you to explore our download center, are you looking to download your friends or favorite creators' custom teams? How about looking to share your custom team? Head over to the Create and Share section in the main menu and select the Download Center . This is where you will be able to begin exploring!

Once you're in, you can browse through a diverse array of content. At the very top is featured content. This is content that we have handpicked to showcase the great work of creators. This will be updated periodically to ensure we are always keeping the download center fresh, while also giving creators the ability to showcase their incredible work.

Once you find the school that you feel suits you best all you will need to do is just download it directly to your console. IMPORTING YOUR TEAM INTO DYNASTY MODE

As we talked about in the Dynasty Deep Dive , importing a Team Builder team into Dynasty is available only in a private cloud Dynasty. You will be able to import up to 16 teams per Dynasty. When you’re starting a new league, only the commissioner has the ability to import custom teams and this can happen exclusively at the beginning of the season and will not be possible at any other point.

When importing a team, you have the option whether or not you want to replace the team’s roster. This allows you to maintain the existing team’s roster and only change their uniforms and field. Regardless of whether or not you replace the roster, your Team Builder team will inherit some of the characteristics of the team it’s replacing. This includes their rivalries, their coaching staff (unless you decide to bring in a new coach), their My School grades, and their team records. Be sure to keep this in mind when you are deciding who to replace.

A NOTE FROM US

When developing Team Builder, our goal was to give fans the freedom to bring their creativity to life and share their passion and designs with the community. In order to facilitate this, we knew that we had to offer you the ability to bring your creations to life with deep customization while building an experience that matched what we set up to do.

This goal meant we needed to lean into a more robust tool set for a web-based solution that gave fans as much freedom for creation and customization as we could build.

Since this Team Builder experience will be new not only for you but our team as well, we want to ask for your feedback. Since this is a new journey, we are inviting you, the community, to share your feedback with us in our official College Football 25 Community Forum so we can hear your thoughts on the experience for creators and fans of those creations. We will use that space and our other channels to keep you informed of changes, enhancements and quality-improvements we will be making throughout the year. We would love your feedback and input as our team  continues to evolve Team Builder throughout the season.

TIME TO BUILD YOUR TEAM

Now, all that’s left is to take them to glory. We are so proud that we could bring this beloved feature back to you and we can't tell you enough how excited we are to see what creations you all will put together to make this feel like it is your game. Well, it is time to put our pens down and get to creating our own teams as well! Are you ready?
